This research begins for parameter determining the critical flashover voltage: (CFO) required for a given lightning surge performance level is given. If the surge voltage varies along the line, the insulation of system from fault effect. This fault line will have a number of stroke on overhead ground wire. The maximum voltage from flashover effects in the lines. The Gaussian frequency of occurrence of surge voltage, the extreme value distribution, the critical stroke current. An artificial neural network can shorten the probability of flashover at tower and the outage rate. The objective of new switching strategy is to minimize both the THD and lower order harmonics. The proposed approach provides better performance in terms of improved THD and lower order harmonics when compared to other conventional PWM techniques. The centroid based technique (CBT) described here in is to give a high quality inverter output waveform without leading to significant switching losses. The advent of WAMS opens a new path to the system trajectory prediction and real time closed-loop stability control to prevent power system outage. The defects of current transient stability control system are analyzed, then a possible scheme of transient stability control based on WAMS is proposed, and the corresponding future work is put forward as well. In this paper, a simplistic technique for power factor capacity calculation in medium-sized industrial/commercial setups is presented. Various loads of similar nominal power factor are categorized and demand factor of loads is so selected that it has engineering justifications. The proposed system works on principle of low voltage power factor correction, which substantially reduces electricity bill and increases electrical system loading capacity. It allows commercial and industrial consumers to save on their power cost appreciably. This work is augmented by application software, which takes a few inputs and produces numerous useful results. Adoption of this system helps user in computing compensation capacity, system KVA (size of transformer) and cost of compensation. A feature of this system is prediction of low PF penalty. Pin ceramic insulators with operating voltage of 20 kV were used as samples. Novagard silicone grease was used as the coating compound. The effects of temperature, humidity and various artificial pollutants were investigated. The experimental results show that application of silicone compound coatings suppressed leakage currents significantly under contaminated environment. Under high humidity of more than 90 % higher leakage current and lower flash over voltage were observed. The coating on the wet-polluted insulators results in a very poor improvement of the insulator properties. This showed coating method affected the performance of the coating. Coating of ceramic insulator surface suppressed the magnitude as well as the harmonic content of the leakage current. This paper considers four different types of the measuring systems.
