Due to the importance of using new communication technologies in health care, this study was conducted to identify opportunities, threats, strengths, and weaknesses of these technologies in the field of health with a focus on rare patients.\u0000Method: This qualitative study was conducted with the participation of 40 experts and specialists in the field of communication and health, and a number of rare patients. The sampling method was snowball sampling and semi-structured interviews continued to the point of data saturation. To collect data, notes were taken and the interviews were recorded and transcribed. For accurate data analysis, MAXQDA (version 12) was used.\u0000Results: The results of this study on opportunities, challenges, threatening factors, and strategies of using new communication technologies in the field of health led to the formation and identification of 379 initial codes, including 45 categories, which finally 4 themes of opportunities, threats, strengths, and weaknesses were extracted.\u0000Conclusion: New communication technologies, regarding their potentials, could facilitate the advancement of health communication and provide better digital solutions for rare patients, who face various challenges in their treatment period and social life, as well as mental and psychological concerns and the need for information. Method: This study used a qualitative-quantitative research method. The statistical population in the qualitative section included a number of experts, such as sports officials of the province; professors of sports management, psychology, sociology, and geriatrics; as well as officials of welfare and health departments (n=25). In the quantitative section, the statistical population included a number of elderly referring to sports centers (n=247). A purposeful and convenience method was used for sampling. The required data were collected using interviews (in the qualitative section) and a researcher-made questionnaire (in the quantitative section). The validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by 8 experts. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive and inferential statistics in SPSS (version 21) and LISREL (version 8.7) software. Results: Based on the results, the most important factors affecting the elderly participation in physical activities and development of their quality of life were management strategies, advertising and noticing, financial and economic, personal, socio-cultural, places, and facilities. Conclusion: According to the findings of the study, managers should pay special attention to the factors affecting the participation of the elderly in sports activities and help improve their quality of life by providing suitable conditions for their participation in these activities.

Recent studies have demonstrated that the class 3 semaphorin subfamilies have the most significant role in metabolic disorders. Therefore, the present study aimed to investigate the effect of obesity on skeletal muscle Sema3C levels in male and female Wistar rats.\u0000Method: In this experimental study, 12 male and female 8-week-old Wistar rats with a mean weight of 138 ± 13.60 gr were randomly assigned to two groups of six: non-obese (three males and three females) and Obese (three males and three females). The rats were dissected after eight weeks of induction of obesity and 18-20 hours of fasting, and their skeletal muscle tissue was rapidly removed and frozen. The sema3C level of skeletal muscle was measured by ELISA. Data were analyzed in SPSS software (version 21) using a two-way ANOVA test at a significance level of P≤0.0. In addition, the effect of obesity intervention was investigated in male and female rats separately.\u0000Results: Based on the results of the present study, the level of Sema3C in male and female rats in the obese group increased; nonetheless, it was not significant (P≥0.05). Moreover, Lee's index did not change significantly in male and female rats in the obese group (P≥0.05).\u0000Conclusion: It seems that a high-fat diet increases the level of Sema3C in skeletal muscle which can have negative effects on the whole body system considering the role of this adipokine in the spread of metabolic diseases

The study population included human resources in the health sector. Data were collected from the national portal of the Statistical Center of Iran and the population yearbook of the province using a researcher-made form. Data were analyzed in STATA (version 12) and DASP (version 2.2) software packages.\u0000Results: For every 10,000 people, 55.3 human resources were working in the health sector of North Khorasan province. Human health resources are distributed equally in this province. The Gini coefficient for all human health resources, except nurses and specialists, was less than 0.2, indicating complete equality in the distribution of resources. The lowest coefficient value was related to general practitioners (0.052), and the highest Gini coefficient pertained to specialized physicians (0.422), pointing to a relative inequality in the distribution of specialized physicians.\u0000Conclusion: The removal of inequalities in human resources in the health sector in different regions can result in the promotion of equality in health outcomes. The statistical population included female patients with breast cancer in 2019-2022 referred to Omid and Imam Reza hospitals in Mashhad, Iran. The instruments were the Cancer Self-efficacy Questionnaire of Champion et al. (2013) and the Cancer Resilience Questionnaire of Sonaga and Futavatari (2018).
