In order to overcome the limitation of the single biometric, a Multi-representation biometric is used. In this paper we present a multimodal personal identification system using the Histogram of Oriented Gradients (HOG) descriptors as feature extraction. Then two classifiers are used distance classifier and RBF classier to design two subsystems. The experimental results showed that the designed system achieves an excellent identification rate and provides more security than uni-modal biometric system.","PeriodicalId":164080,"journal":{"name":"2015 First International Conference on New Technologies of Information and Communication (NTIC)","volume":"60 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-12-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132195475","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A materialized view is a query whose results are pre-computed from multiple data sources and stored in the database. Defining views over heterogeneous data sources requires the design of a common query language or the conversion of the data sources in the same format. This paper addresses this problem by proposing a model-driven approach for views definition over distributed and heterogeneous data sources which makes use of a high level modeling language.","PeriodicalId":164080,"journal":{"name":"2015 First International Conference on New Technologies of Information and Communication (NTIC)","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115900370","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

OFDM is widely used in contemporary communication systems for its good robustness in multipath environment, and its high spectral efficiency. The capacity of wireless system can be increased dramatically by employing Multiple Input Multiple Output, (MIMO) antennas. The combination of MIMO and OFDM system is found to be very beneficial. A major drawback of OFDM-MIMO System is its high Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) Reduction. The peak power of a signal is a critical design factor for band limited communication systems, and it is necessary to reduce it as much as possible. Many PAPR reduction techniques have been used to reduce PAPR. Partial transmit sequence (PTS) is one of the most well-known peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) reduction techniques proposed for MIMO-OFDM systems. However the computational complexity of traditional PTS method is tremendous. In this paper a new partial transmit sequence (PTS) technique, based on C-A-PTS technique, for two antennas STBC MIMO-OFDM system, is proposed which can achieve better PAPR performance at much less complexity. The main idea behind this is to separate the input data vector, generated by Alamouti algorithm, into real and imaginary parts and separately multiplied with phase factors. The optimum weighting coefficient of antenna two can be directly obtained by appropriating mapping from that of antenna one which leads further to reducing complexity computation. Simulation results show that the proposed approach can reduce computationally complexity and achieve a better PAPR reduction and bit error rate performances compared to C-A-PTS.","PeriodicalId":164080,"journal":{"name":"2015 First International Conference on New Technologies of Information and Communication (NTIC)","volume":"384 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115116163","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It postulates system engineering gradually by starting from initial abstract specification and follows a rigorous refinement process to establish final specification. Fuzzy Labeled Transition Refinement Tree (FLTRT) is introduced to fulfill such purpose. It supports abstraction and handling incomplete information and by the way reducing complexity of refinement process. It is based on Fuzzy Labeled Transition System (FLTS) which is a generalization of well-known Labeled Transition System, enhanced by fuzziness facility. The FLTRT structure serves as a tree of potential concurrent design trajectories of the system. In this paper, we study bisimulation relations on FLTSs which are classified into two categories: horizontal and top-down bisimulation relations. The first category intends to identify equivalent specifications of the same abstraction level. However, the second one relates specifications that belong conceptually to different abstraction levels. Top-down bisimulation relation intends to check correctness of a given implementation with respect to its initial specification. FLTRT structure preserves the top-down bisimulation relation.","PeriodicalId":164080,"journal":{"name":"2015 First International Conference on New Technologies of Information and Communication (NTIC)","volume":"136 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115907171","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The model transformation is the most important artifact in MDE that it defines the automatic passing from one model to another. The validation of such model transformation are necessary to improve the safety of this latter, but most transformation languages have not a formal semantics to add detailed specifications on the expected behavior. So it is important to give solutions to integrate formal methods at this level. For this, we utilize the Coq proof assistant that is based on various calculus, for validating a model transformation specified with QVT-operational language. We illustrate our approach by transforming a UML state diagram into Petri net.","PeriodicalId":164080,"journal":{"name":"2015 First International Conference on New Technologies of Information and Communication (NTIC)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121173102","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Moving from pixel-based analysis to object-based analysis, a fuzzy classification concept is used through eCognition software. In this paper, SVM and MLLH are separately adopted and compared for multi-class object-oriented classification process where the input features vector contains primitive image objects produced by a multi-resolution segmentation algorithm. In this study, the determination of suitable object segmentation scale leading to an improved object-oriented classification result is also discussed and performed. Comparative analysis clearly revealed that higher overall classification accuracy (97%) was observed in the object-based classification using the optimal segmentation scale.","PeriodicalId":164080,"journal":{"name":"2015 First International Conference on New Technologies of Information and Communication (NTIC)","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117185580","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
