Machine learning, deep learning and a lot of other mechanisms detect these malicious URLs. However, the combination of these models faces over-fitting problem if they do not follow the same law (binomial and multinomial laws combined). This paper suggests majority vote system of different machine learning and deep learning models. With 420 464 URLs, result is interesting for combination of Random Forest (RF), Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) and Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) models, giving an accuracy rate of 93% and solving over-fitting problem.","PeriodicalId":163458,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Interdisciplinary Cyber Physical Systems (ICPS)","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114772220","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This automation is accomplished through the use of a microcontroller as well as the necessary sensors. The automatic gear shifting system is designed to keep the engine running at optimal revolutions per minute (RPM). The transmission must automatically up-shift as the engine revolutions rise above the top limit. This results in the efficient working of the engine, also increasing its longevity making the task of the driver easier. The microcontrollers communicate with the control systems and other components in the car using the Controller Area Network (CAN) protocol. This work discusses the algorithm involved, the sensors used to achieve the perfect output and safe transmission. Comparing the graphs of the manual transmission and automatic transmission. The proposed work also allows shifting from AMT to manual mode with the use of a simple button controlled using the micro-controller. Finally, the modifications required on the existing car models to achieve higher speeds at a shorter period of time and the improvements in a car after the implementation of the concept.","PeriodicalId":163458,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Interdisciplinary Cyber Physical Systems (ICPS)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124392452","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A systematic analysis of these building designs for cyber-physical risks needs modelling. This article proposes a new approach combining systems thinking in order to model the underlying physical processes and their relationship; interactions between systems and its components; and interdependency between the flow of information and energy in the design of built-environment. A preliminary analysis of cyber-physical hazards to integrated fire-safety in a real-world office building design is presented to exemplify the application of the proposed method as a case study. In these taxing times, students have been severely affected. So our government has not compromised their future and has decided to conduct all competitive examinations. Thus, it becomes crucial for the students to register for the exams. However, the traditional exam hall authentication system does not assure that the students would not be exposed to the infection. So it is important to come up with a solution for this scenario. This paper presents a model in which the student’s registration and authentication happen using the fingerprint sensor and Atmega328 microcontroller in addition to recording the student’s body temperature by the LM35 temperature sensor. The data is transferred to a cloud server where it can be monitored and analyzed. The cloud server shall store the time of recording and the temperature of the student. If the temperature is higher than standard body temperature, an email alert is sent to the concerned authorities. The authorities can consequently take appropriate action and this would help in curbing the spread of the virus among the students present in the exam hall.","PeriodicalId":163458,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Interdisciplinary Cyber Physical Systems (ICPS)","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123610177","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Since symmetric key cryptography requires both parties(encryption and decryption) to use the same key, the security of key distribution techniques is pivotal to the secrecy of overall exchange. This process generally uses master keys and session keys for key distribution and can be further strengthened by making use of nonces. A nonce is a non-repeating value (number used once) which may or may not be random. Such a value can be incorporated in cryptographic algorithms so as to make guessing and predicting difficult for an adversary during the exchange of messages between two entities over the network. This can help in mitigating masquerading and replay attacks. A masquerade attack is a kind of active attack wherein one entity pretends to be a different entity. Some other kinds of active attacks such as replay attack and modification of messages can also be grouped under the umbrella of masquerade attack. Such attacks often take advantage of the predictable nature of certain steps during the exchange of messages between two entities over the network. In this paper, we explore the usage of nonces in various cryptographic and network security applications in symmetric key distribution environment so as to prevent active attacks like masquerade attacks.","PeriodicalId":163458,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Interdisciplinary Cyber Physical Systems (ICPS)","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115647909","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

GCD of two numbers is the greatest divisor that ultimately divides these two numbers. The paper initially discusses four standard algorithms used in calculating GCD: Euclidean Algorithm, Binary GCD algorithm, Dijkstra’s algorithm, and Lehmer’s algorithm. We then analyze the various GCD applications in computer security. Some applications like generating modular multiplicative inverse are used in various cryptographic algorithms, reducing public keys’ disclosure within closed groups, the importance of GCD in cryptographic algorithms, key refreshment message authentication, and peer validation. In the end, we cover the effects arising due to not proper use of GCD according to the algorithms stated in this paper, and how a poor choice of prime numbers that we use to compute the GCD and miscalculation of GCD can affect the computer security.","PeriodicalId":163458,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Interdisciplinary Cyber Physical Systems (ICPS)","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122712695","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
