The filter operates in the current mode. It is based on the well-known follow-the-leader feedback (FLF) topology of the the 3rd-order filtering structure utilizing fully-differential current followers (FD-CFs) and adjustable current amplifiers (ACAs), in our case, in order to approximate fractional-order low-pass filter response in particular frequency band of interest. The design correctness and proper function of the proposed filter are supported by PSpice simulations. The filter provides ability to electronically control its order in range from 1 to 2 and also offers the electronic control of the cut-off frequency. These features were tested for three different values in case of the control of the order and three different values in case of the control of the cut-off frequency.","PeriodicalId":160577,"journal":{"name":"2017 27th International Conference Radioelektronika (RADIOELEKTRONIKA)","volume":"461 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-04-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125807553","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The common point of these technologies is that the latest IEEE 802.11 version has always several advanced features compared to its predecessor. IEEE 802.11ax is one of the upcoming technologies, primarily developed for the Industrial, Security and Medical (ISM) band. IEEE 802.11ax is planned to be released in 2019 and extend the features of IEEE 802.11ac. This paper presents a simulation-based performance analysis of the IEEE 802.11ac/ax technologies on the physical layer (PHY) level. The transmitter and receiver models of both technologies have been implemented and tested in MATLAB. Furthermore, this work explores IEEE 802.11ac/ax performance degradation that may be caused by carrier frequency offset (CFO). Results show lower resistance of IEEE 802.11ax against CFO.","PeriodicalId":160577,"journal":{"name":"2017 27th International Conference Radioelektronika (RADIOELEKTRONIKA)","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-04-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122306490","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Digital retinal images are used for diagnostics of various diseases including diabetes, hypertension, stroke, etc. Retinal blood vessels are crucial for such diagnostics so segmentation of retinal blood vessels is an important and active research area. In this paper we propose an overlapping-block-based algorithm for retinal blood vessels segmentation based on classification by support vector machine using chromaticity and DCT coefficients as features. The proposed algorithm was tested on standard benchmark retinal images from the DRIVE data set. Results were compared with available ground truth images and other approaches from literature and vessel segmentation was excellent in all cases.","PeriodicalId":160577,"journal":{"name":"2017 27th International Conference Radioelektronika (RADIOELEKTRONIKA)","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-04-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133348655","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The impact of a wide antenna main lobe on the received signal is demonstrated, based on the developed received signal model. Then a design of an active antialiasing filter and a signal processing technique using an OS-CFAR algorithm are describe. Also a simple algorithm for target resolution and its speed estimation is introduced. Experimental results comparing two radar sensors, supplemented with our own signal processing hardware, are shown in the last paragraph. This confirm the antenna effect on the radar signal behavior.","PeriodicalId":160577,"journal":{"name":"2017 27th International Conference Radioelektronika (RADIOELEKTRONIKA)","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-04-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131838088","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this situation, the DAB is an interferer system, whereas the DVB-S/S2 is a victim system. An experimental workspace was realized to emulate and explore such a scenario. To evaluate a performance of the affected DVB-S/S2 signal, a bit and modulation error ratios (BER and MER) are used, respectively. Results of measurements, dependencies of these error values on a frequency shift between central carriers of both systems, and on a signal level difference of both RF signals are presented. Finally, results are analyzed and discussed in details.","PeriodicalId":160577,"journal":{"name":"2017 27th International Conference Radioelektronika (RADIOELEKTRONIKA)","volume":"134 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-04-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128546496","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Fulfilling these two conditions in practice is difficult. Therefore, the estimation of illumination pattern from acquired images is necessary. Inaccurate estimation of spatial frequency, angular orientation or phase shift of the illumination pattern leads to unwanted image reconstruction artifacts. In this paper, we analyze the performance of different phase estimation approaches using simulated SIM data from a synthetic sample.","PeriodicalId":160577,"journal":{"name":"2017 27th International Conference Radioelektronika (RADIOELEKTRONIKA)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-04-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130354891","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As their dimensions are proportional to the operational wavelength, they are becoming the limiting element for handheld devices operating at lower frequencies. In this article, the novel concept of active receiving and transmitting antennas is proposed for an M-sequence UWB (ultra wide band) ground penetrating radar (GPR) to minimize dimensions, complexity and costs of the antennas. Radiation principles of selected electrically short antennas are described and appropriate active circuits are designed as well. Their performance is verified by measurements in the UWB system. Using the electrically short antennas with active circuits designed in this work, 8 dB higher received signal level has been achieved in lower part of the frequency band while reducing costs, dimensions and weight of the antennas approximately 10-fold.","PeriodicalId":160577,"journal":{"name":"2017 27th International Conference Radioelektronika (RADIOELEKTRONIKA)","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-04-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129277883","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
