This number increased by 8.92% from the previous year, 4,197 people. By province, 745 mothers who died were in West Java last year. The proportion reaches 16.1% of the total maternal mortality in the country.  Anemia is one of the indirect causes of maternal death due to bleeding. In pregnant women, anemia increases the frequency of complications in pregnancy and childbirth. In general, one of the causes of iron deficiency anemia is insufficient iron intake and inadequate absorption (Widyastuti, 2005). Iron absorption is greatly influenced by the availability of vitamin C in the mother's body. Guava juice is a fruit easily and cheaply obtained by the public. Red guava contains carbohydrates of 12.2 g / 100 gr and fiber of 5.6 g / 100 guava fruit.  So, it is hoped that pregnant women will understand their condition during pregnancy after this service. This community service was conducted through demonstrations and practices on 20 pregnant women in Cibungbulang District, Bogor Regency. This activity went well, and pregnant women felt the benefits of this service activity. Pregnant women are expected to be aware of the dangers of anemia and the benefits of detection by checking hemoglobin and consuming guava juice to increase hemoglobin levels.","PeriodicalId":159076,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Community Empowerment for Multidisciplinary (JCEMTY)","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133417489","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

DPTHBHib immunization must be given to children to avoid Diphtheria, Pertussis, Tetanus, Hepatitis B, and Haemophilus influenzae type b, which can cause death in children. The vaccination was carried out 3 times at 2 months, 3 months, and 4 months. Since the Covid-19 pandemic, the participation of mothers with toddlers has decreased, especially in the Pondok Jaya Village, Cipayung sub-district, Depok City. Therefore, to support the implementation of Immunization by the Government, it is felt necessary to hold community service for Providing Complete Basic Immunization and Supplementary Food to Infants and Toddlers at Posyandu Delima RW 02 Kel Pondok Jaya Kec Cipayung Depok City in 2022. The results of this community service activity were carried out well and appreciated by the local community. The Bedadung River, from its upper reaches to its middle and lower parts, is utilized for domestic needs, agriculture and plantations, livestock farming, industry, and tourism. However, despite its significant benefits to the community, the Bedadung River also poses risks, such as floods and droughts. Droughts and floods are recurring disasters that happen every year. These changing conditions are highly dynamic and dependent on the seasons. The disasters have caused considerable losses and are mostly the result of several issues, with a significant portion attributed to climate change. Climate change is marked by changes in land use, such as the population of trees in the upper region. Sucopangepok Village is one of the villages located in the upstream area of the Bedadung River. It is also affected by droughts and floods due to changes in the function of the upstream area. The risk of floods and droughts has motivated the service team to initiate a conservation village. After analyzing the situation, several problems were identified among the service partners, including ecological, social, and economic issues in the upstream area of the Bedadung River. The implementation method of the service includes 1) Tree planting conservation activities; 2) Focus Group Discussions on sustainable agriculture and disaster management; 3) Partner participation in activities; 4) Monitoring and evaluation. The result of the activity is the strengthening of institutions through forming farmer groups, counseling, and guidance on the conservation village program through Focus Group Discussions on the importance of planting perennial crops and monitoring and evaluation of planting activities that have been carried out.","PeriodicalId":159076,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Community Empowerment for Multidisciplinary (JCEMTY)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132400180","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This garbage contains high water and rotten youth. High volume causes a buildup that pollutes the environment and becomes a disease outbreak.  Improper management techniques can have negative impacts on health and the environment. An alternative to processing organic waste generated from household activities is composting, which turns household waste into compost. The process of composting can be done with the Takakura technique. The activities aimed to increase community knowledge in household organic waste management and provide skills in utilizing organic waste into compost using the Takakura method for one week. The methods used were education, training, and assistance in making compost using the Takakura method to residents and health cadres of RW 06 Sutorejo Village, Mulyorejo, Surabaya, totaling 14 people. The activity results showed that community and health volunteers could understand household organic waste and composters and could make compost from household organic waste using the Takakura method. This change in knowledge is evidenced by the increase in before and after education and the increase in participants' skills in making compost. Making compost from organic waste with the Takakura method is economical for every citizen and does not require high costs. Based on this service activity, continuous socialization and assistance are needed for residents to utilize household organic waste.","PeriodicalId":159076,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Community Empowerment for Multidisciplinary (JCEMTY)","volume":"46 1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123517232","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is certainly a phenomenon that needs serious attention from the government and society. Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease characterized by uncontrolled blood sugar levels that can cause permanent damage to organs such as the eyes, heart, kidneys, and blood vessels. Diabetes mellitus is possible for everyone to suffer from, both those with a hereditary history of suffering from DM and those who do not have a hereditary history. Activities carried out in preparation, implementation, and evaluation.  The activity method used is a lecture equipped with leaflet media where a discussion then follows the activity. The activity results showed that the implementation of counseling went smoothly, with an explanation of the material regarding definitions, patient criteria, risk factors, ways to prevent management, and the introduction of blood sugar measuring devices. The very high enthusiasm of the participants in asking questions was obtained by 90% of the participants asking questions, with each questioner asking one to four questions. Participants proposed to carry out the follow-up of diabetes mellitus counseling in the form of blood sugar checks which would be carried out at the next study meeting. The conclusion is that education in the form of counseling has formed positive perceptions related to awareness of the importance of preventing and controlling diabetes mellitus.","PeriodicalId":159076,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Community Empowerment for Multidisciplinary (JCEMTY)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116571374","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The European Food Safety Association (EFSA), on March 9, 2020, explained that there is no evidence yet to show that food is part of the coronavirus transmission route (of course, when we consume food in the right and clean way standard). Basic Health Research conducted by the Ministry of Health in 2018 shows that few Indonesian citizens are malnourished or suffer from diabetes. This group risks experiencing fatal health problems when attacked by the coronavirus. The aim of this health promotion is that the post-vaccination participants for COVID-19 in the D3 Nursing Study Program, Faculty of Nursing, University of Jember, Lumajang Campus, have a better understanding of consuming healthy food after the COVID-19 vaccination. The service method uses counseling using lectures, question and answer, and demonstrations with X banner and leaflet media for participants after the COVID-19 vaccination, which was carried out on March 17, 2022, taking place at the D3 Nursing Study Program, Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Jember, Lumajang Campus. The results of this community service activity are likely successful. This can be observed in the level of attendance and the activeness of the participants. This activity took place in an orderly and good manner without experiencing significant obstacles. The follow-up that needs to be done is to continue to provide information on healthy food after the COVID-19 vaccination, so that confusing and untrue news can be suppressed so that the people of Indonesia are free of COVID-19, especially the people of Lumajang.","PeriodicalId":159076,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Community Empowerment for Multidisciplinary (JCEMTY)","volume":"325 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116122888","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Vaginal discharge is a classic problem for most women. Ironically, most women do not know about vaginal discharge and the causes of vaginal discharge. If not handled properly, vaginal discharge can be fatal. Infertility and ectopic pregnancy (pregnancy outside the womb) can be one of the consequences of vaginal discharge. The early symptoms of uterine cancer usually start with vaginal discharge. This study's betel leaf (Piper betel Linn) belongs to the Peiperaceae family. The part used is the leaves. Betel leaf contains essential oils with compounds that have strong antibacterial properties, referred to as \"kavikol\" and \"kavibetol\". Anti-bacterial is also found in boiled betel in water. Betel leaf in traditional medicine is usually used for first aid in first-line treatment in daily medicine, especially as an antiseptic. This activity aims to increase young women's knowledge about the dangers of vaginal discharge and provide intervention in betel leaf boiled water to reduce physiological vaginal discharge. The activity results showed benefits for adolescents as evidenced by the decrease in the incidence of physiological vaginal discharge after being given counseling and betel leaf water.","PeriodicalId":159076,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Community Empowerment for Multidisciplinary (JCEMTY)","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117253133","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, WHO emphasized that this examination does not establish a clinical diagnosis of COVID-19 and is not recommended for triaging patients with suspected COVID-19, the rapid test is only an initial screening; Real-Time Reverse-Transcriptase Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) must still confirm the results. Meanwhile, triage of patients uses a rapid risk assessment from the Ministry of Health which refers to the WHO Rapid Risk Assessment of Acute Public Health guidelines. In order to assist the government's program in preventing the spread of Covid-19, it is necessary to carry out health education about the behavior of preventing Covid-19 and early detection of Covid-19 by testing rapid antibodies at the National University.
