In industry, electrical tests are typically performed, but some defects cannot be detected by such tests and the motors still need to be inspected by human operators. This is a potential point for improvement, since the limitations of human operators are widely discussed in literature. Vision systems are an interesting option to surpass those limitations. This paper presents the development of a vision system to inspect defects related to the windings of stators in a motor assembly line, after the rotor is assembled to the motor. In a previous work, the viability of inspecting this type of defect before the rotor insertion has already been shown. In the present work, some modifications in the test rig have been performed to adapt it to the new condition of inspection and a new algorithm has been developed. The tests achieved a success rate of 96.7%. This work applies some features of a DC-AC converter using a grid connected 471. 5kWp photovoltaic system with an integrated storage system. Focusing in details for developing simulations of this system type, a single-phase inverter model was designed with: a DC-DC buck converter to PV power dispatch control, a bidirectional DC-DC buck-boost converter for battery charging and discharging and a single-phase NPC full-bridge for 4. 16kV connected through a transformer to 13.8kV distribution grid. In addition, it presents the applied local loads behavior, control strategies and converters design. As a result, a photovoltaic inverter with storage system and its operation for distribution grid supporting is presented which means, to provide ancillary services to the grid, such as: local load power factor compensation and an hourly-basis active power dispatching. Thus, allowing mitigation of transmission and distribution technical losses and improvements in voltage profile. This new methodology aims to find a control equation of any predefined control law from one converter to another power converter. The idea behind is to take maximum advantage of the robustness offered by the originator nonlinear control law. Although there is the possibility of more than one conversion, some candidates show excellent performance in terms of settling time, transient overshoot, rejection of disturbance and steady- state regulation. The stability proof is given individually for each generated equation. The validation of the new D-controllers is done through Hardware In the Loop (HIL) simulations. Modeling a BBR is a complex work, since they are often under-actuated systems and the actuators are not aligned with the coordinates system, making necessary torques and velocities transformations. In this paper, two distribution system state estimator approaches, namely, Branch Currents Based State Estimator (BCBSE) and Admittance Matrix Based State Estimator (AMBSE), are evaluated under fault conditions. The aim is to verify if the approaches can be used as the main core of a fault location methodology. Both approaches have the particularity of presenting constant Jacobian and Gain matrices, which reduces the associated computational effort. The simulations shown in this paper were performed on the IEEE 13bus test feeder, considering single-and three-phase faults for different fault resistances and fault locations for several available measurement sets. Among these problems, bi-dimensional irregular packing problems, which admits polygonal shaped items, are computationally challenging due to its geometrical complexity. Several advances were obtained for the irregular strip packing problem; however, it is very lacking for bin packing problems. Therefore, in this work, a strip packing solution is adapted to deal with the single size irregular bin packing problem. The proposed solution employs the obstruction map, which aids the overlap minimization for the dotted board model. Such approach is efficient as it reduces the search space by enforcing a grid placement restriction for items. Furthermore, a map caching acceleration strategy is studied in order to further improve its performance. Two solutions are proposed for the adaptation to the bin packing problem and preliminary tests were performed to check their applicabilities. Results show that the proposed approaches may be feasible, specially if the items are preassigned to objects. After the characterization of the conducted emissions, the development of an EMI filter is presented, for control of emission levels in accordance with CISPR 25 Class 5. The results of the time domain analysis demonstrate that the conducted EMI emissions in a WLL can cause sudden failure of the light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and FWH's radio communication systems. To solve the problem, an EMI filter is implemented and the experimental results were satisfactory. It proved effective in suppressing interference on the radio system and LED voltage levels, maintaining the light intensity of the WLL. This paper deals with a critical issue in the area of electrical power systems, related to the consequences of deficiencies in the grounding system to the operation of electrical grid.
