Shablya","doi":"10.32900/2312-8402-2022-127-196-203","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.32900/2312-8402-2022-127-196-203","url":null,"abstract":"The results of predicting the age of the first calving using multiple regression analysis, based on exterior measurements and body structure indices of heifers, determined twice - at the age of about 100 days and about a year are shown. The models are designed using both linear and nonlinear components. The developed models are considered in terms of their adequacy and reliability. To improve the quality of the models, the \"folding knife\" method was tested. Verification of models was carried out by methods of sliding control, division of the sample into educational and examination samples and selection simulation. The most important dependencies are highlighted and analyzed. Based on the exterior indicators of heifers around 100 days of age, we obtained a model for predicting the age of the first calving, which was unreliable (P = 0.91) and characterized by a low reduced coefficient of determination (R2adj = 0.21) and a large standard prediction error (SE = 104.75 days). The final parameters of the model of predicting the age of the first calving based on exterior indicators determined at an age of about one year are characterized by high reliability (p> 0.999), good determination (R2adj = 0.58) and quite acceptable differences between predicted and actual values of the age at first calving (SE = 77.01 days). The most adequate is the model based on a double exterior study. It is advisable to use this model in the version of the \"folding knife\" for a more accurate and complete assessment of animals at an early age. This model provides a coincidence of predicted and actual negative estimates of the age of the first calving in 65.7% of cases. The most valuable features for predicting and interpreting the dependence of the age of the first calving on the exterior of heifers are such as the stretch index and oblique body length at 365 days of age. Chehorka","doi":"10.32900/2312-8402-2023-129-233-244","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.32900/2312-8402-2023-129-233-244","url":null,"abstract":"The article presents the results of the study of biochemical indicators of blood serum and their relationship with the fattening and meat qualities of young pigs of the large white breed, as well as the calculation of the level of correlations between the signs and the economic efficiency of their use in the conditions of the industrial complex.\u0000 Studies show that the biochemical indicators of blood serum of young pigs of the large white breed correspond to the physiological norm of clinically healthy animals, namely: the total protein content is 83.46 g/l, the urea content is 5.15 mmol/l, the urea nitrogen content is 10.14 mg %; the coefficient of variation of the specified quantitative features of the interior ranges from 4.85 to 14.99 %. By the age of reaching a live weight of 100 kg, the animals of the total sample (N=42) exceed the minimum requirements of the elite class by 6.57, the thickness of lard at the level of 6-7 thoracic vertebrae - 28.62, the length of the chilled carcass - 3.72 %.\u0000 Taking into account the intrabreed differentiation of animals according to the \"intensity of formation\" index, it was established that the young pigs of the II experimental group (∆t=0.715-1.011) prevailed over the peers of the same age I (∆t=1.076-1.356) in terms of average daily live weight gain, the age of reaching a live weight of 100 kg and fat thickness at the level of 6-7 thoracic vertebrae by an average of 3.61%. There was no significant difference between the groups in the thickness of lard at the level of 6-7 thoracic vertebrae, the length of the chilled carcass, the largest (front) and smallest (back) width of the bacon half of the carcass. The number of reliable connections between biochemical indicators of blood serum, fattening and meat qualities of young pigs of the controlled population is 33.33 %. The stimulatory influence of these additions to the piglets' diet on the growth and protein metabolism in their body was shown. The positive effect of the introduction of essential amino acids (lysine, methionine and threonine) and sunflower oil to the diet on the taste of the mixed feed, the intensity of its eating and the growth of piglets was shown in the conducted research. The greatest gains in piglets of the 4th experimental group, where the level of ME in the diet was 13.72 MJ, lysine - 13.8 g / kg, methionine and threonine - 9.2 g / kg of the mixed feed were observed. At the same time, the safety of piglets was directly proportional to their average daily gain. The highest it was in piglets of the 4th experimental group (96.7%), and the lowest in the control group (89.7%). The increase of the content of lysine, methionine, threonine and fat in the piglets' diet led to an increase in the blood plasma of proteins level and a decrease of urea and uric acid. A clear tendency to increased total protein concentration in blood, when increasing the intensity of pre-starter mixed feed intake by piglets with the additional introduction of lysine, methionine, threonine and sunflower oil was observed. It follows from these data that if the level of the most limiting essential amino acids (lysine, methionine and threonine) increases in the diet, the synthesis of blood plasma proteins in the liver of piglets increases and this process is stimulated by the addition of fat. At the same time, feeding young piglets with amino acid and fat additions contributed to a decrease in the content of urea and uric acid in blood plasma. The goal of our work was to develop effective ways to sanitize clothing and footwear of workers in the livestock industry. The studies were carried out following the current methodological approaches that are used in agriculture and veterinary medicine. Based on the results of the research carried out, two methods and one device have been developed to ensure a high level of veterinary and sanitary measures in animal husbandry. It has been proven that for the sanitization of clothing of workers in the animal husbandry industry, it is effective to use a disinfectant, which includes the sodium salt of dichloroisocyanuric acid (0.09–0.36%), adipic acid (0.01–0.04%), sodium bicarbonate (0.01–0.04%), sodium carbonate (0.003–0.01%), water (99.887–99.55%) when exposed for 30 minutes. For disinfection of workers' footwear, it is advisable to use disinfectants filled with a disinfectant that contains dichlorantin (0.021–0.21%), 5,5-dimethylhydantoin (0.0164–0.164%), a dispersant (0.012–0.12%), anionic surfactants (0.005–0.05%), corrosion inhibitor (0.01–0.1%), filler (0.0356–0.356%) and water (99.9–99.0%). An innovative device for cleaning and disinfection is proposed - a shoe disinfector, which consists of a waterproof box with a bottom wider than the top, filled with a disinfectant solution, a branch pipe for removing waste solution, a brush shaft, which is fixed in the upper part of the waterproof box, an electric motor with a rotational speed 2 rev/s., Which serves as a drive shaft brush, control panel with a start button and a stop button. The studies were conducted in the research farm of SE “Gontarivka”, Volchansky district, Kharkiv region. Natural breeding of sows is used for reproduction on the farm. The insemination of sows was carried out according to the scheme of studies. 35 head of sows and 4 boars of different ages and live weights were selected. Four groups of sows were formed. In order to study the impact of the season of the year on sow productivity, the first series of studies were conducted in the autumn, the second series - in the spring according to the same scheme.\u0000\u0000In different groups of animals, average weight of newly born piglets ranged from 1.10 to 1.21 kg. The average value of this indicator for all sows for both studied seasons was 1.16 kg. The magnitude (for all sows of the period) in winter farrowing was 1.74 % higher than the summer farrowing (for all sows of the period), although the difference between these groups was not probable. Between the sows of different ages, inseminated by boars of different ages, in winter, the higher values were given to young sows that were inseminated by young boars (p<0.01 compared to young sows that were inseminated by full-grown boars). Among the sows of different ages, inseminated by boars of different ages, in the summer, the highest values were middle-aged, which were inseminated by middle-aged boars (p<0.01 compared to young sows in winter, inseminated by full boars and p<0.05 compared to young sows in summer, which were inseminated by adult boars). During the summer period the middle-aged sows, which were inseminated by middle-aged boars, received maximum values of average weight of newly born piglets, which were higher than sows of other groups by 10.00-0.83 %.\u0000\u0000The most consolidated high-birth-weight rates were obtained in winter for young sows that were inseminated by adult boars. For this purpose, (early May 2020) the indexes of living mass were certain on electronic scales within 0.1 kg Whereupon animals were contained during May - September at the camp-pascual system with the additional fertilizing by grain of oat for 0.5 kg/ in a day and by a pasture on a natural pasture. Before the artificial insemination living mass of animals and their general increase was also certain for a period of preparation for the new cycle of reproduction, and after lambing their fecundity, the living mass of lambs, was taken into account at birth, in 20 - and 90-day's age. It is set that the living mass of sheep that in a next reproduction campaign bore lone persons increased for an unreproductive period by 19.8%, at giving birth twins this index grew by 22.2%, and for animals, giving triplet birth increased by 28.2%. Here living mass of sheep, that in a subsequent period had twins and triplets in an initial period of account felt strongly anymore about animals lambed individually on 6.1-7.3%. Thus, the difference between the first and second groups of uteruses appeared high-credible (р<0.001). At the end of the registration period difference on behalf of sheep 2 and 3 groups against the first group increased accordingly to 9.3% (р<0.001) and 13.5% (р<0.05). The average daily increases of lambs for the period from their birth to 20 days ha have a sufficiently clear connection with the indexes of increase of living mass of their mothers in the period of preparation for the new cycle of reproduction.\u0000The average daily gain of yags for the period from their birth to 20 days is quite clearly related to the growth rates of live weight of their mothers in preparation for the new cycle of reproduction. The maximum average gain of lambs was obtained from ewes, the increase in live weight of which in the study period ranged from 10 to 15.9 kg. On this basis, lambs exceeded the results of peers from 6.1 to 17.9%. The indexes of living mass of eves before their insemination have positive coefficients of correlations with a living mass of lambs at wean from mother, and also average daily increases of lambs for the first 20 days of their life. The vaccine consisted of three Y. ruckeri strains (O1 serotype) that originated from rainbow trout cultured on different farms, where fish exhibited clinical signs of enteric redmouth disease. The concentrated vaccine was incorporated into the fish food; treatment was delivered three times at one-day intervals. Two months after immunization, gills were sampled. The vaccination against Y. ruckeri resulted in non-significant changes in TBARS level as lipid peroxidation marker, aldehydic and ketonic derivatives of oxidatively modified proteins level in the gills of trout at the second month after immunization against Y. ruckeri. A significant decrease in superoxide dismutase activity (by 36%, p = 0.002) compared to untreated controls occurred. The alterations in markers of oxidative stress suggest that antioxidant defenses may contribute to the balance between oxidative modification of proteins and antioxidant defenses in the gills of trout vaccinated against Y. ruckeri. We did not find any alterations in the gills after 60 days of immunization. This is likely a result of long-term adaptation to immunization. Understanding the role of oxidative stress in the tissues of vaccinated trout has important implications for the understanding of the complex physiological changes that occur in immunization and also for improving aquaculture practices to maximize tissue growth and health of vaccinated trout. The oxidative stress biomarkers in the gills were sensitive to vaccination against Y. ruckeri and may potentially be used as biomarkers in evaluating vaccine toxicity in rainbow trout. The highest influence of the father's breed on the bodyweight of daughters was found at 18 months of age (29.7%). Heifers were born as a result of crossing the Ayrshire breed with the Montbeliarde breed and had a higher body weight compared to the daughters of the Ayrshire bulls. The daughters of Montbeliarde bulls at 3 months weighed 2.9 kg more, at 6 months - by 4.0, at 9 months - by 6.3, at 12 months - by 20.1, in 15 months - by 41.3 and at 18 months by 49.8 kg (p <0.001). Heifers obtained as a result of crossing Ayrshires with a Norwegian Red breed were distinguished by even greater body weight than purebred Ayrshire. The advantage in body weight was: at 3 months of age 7.6 kg, at 6 months - 19.5, at 9 months - 38.9, at 12 months - 56.3, at 15 months - 70.1 and at 18 months - 70.9 kg. By the age of 9 months, the average daily gains of heifers obtained from Montbeliarde bulls were almost the same. During the period from 9 to 18 months, the daughters of Montbeliarde bulls prevailed over their peers in this indicator by 85-217 g (P <0.001), and daughters bulls of the Norwegian Red breed in the period from birth to 15 months of age - by 82-216 g (p <0.00). The average daily gain from birth to fruitful fertilization in purebred animals was 711 ± 5.4 g, in daughters of Montbeliarde bulls 799 ± 28.9 g, and in descendants of Norwegian Red bulls - 874 ± 12.1 (p <0.001). The age of first fertilization in purebred Ayrshire animals was 18.9 months, in the daughters of the Montbeliarde bulls - 17.0 months, and in the descendants of Norwegian Red bulls - 14.7 months. The age of first calving, respectively: 27.8 months, 25.8 months, and 23.7 months. The daughters of the Montbeliarde breed bulls at different ages had a greater survival rate by 7.3-10.1%, and the descendants of the Norwegian Red bulls by 3.7-9.2% compared to purebred Ayrshire (p>0.1).
