For controlling the cascaded H-Bridge MLI with only one DC source (known as hybrid cascaded MLI (HC-MLI), many hardware modifications and control techniques are proposed. Predictive control (PC) is one of the best non-linear control techniques which is popularized in the area of power electronics recently. In this paper, a modified MPC technique is proposed to control the output current and balancing of capacitor voltage in HC-MLI. Normalization methods and weighting factors are used to give better results in this work.","PeriodicalId":155813,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Emerging Trends in Communication, Control and Computing (ICONC3)","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130460119","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The compensation process is basically established on the p-q theory. This paper exhibits the investigation and execution of hardware implementation for a 1-phase and 3-phase shunt active power filter based on p-q theory (instantaneous reactive power theory). This theory have been widely used for 3-phases 3- wires and 3-phases 4-wire system but its use has not been carried out for 1-phase system. In this paper it has been modified so that it can also be implemented for the 1-phase system as well. To use this theory for 1-phase systems, two extra dummy signals were created with a phase difference of 120°. These three signals were fed to controller to decrease the THD in load current.","PeriodicalId":155813,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Emerging Trends in Communication, Control and Computing (ICONC3)","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124990371","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, high temperature transducers can be a best solution for compensating heat problem on the performance of sensor. In this paper, two different design modelling has been taken into consideration: the first one is membrane and another one is diaphragm. The effect of temperature on the sensitivity of both the pressure sensor has been optimized through finite element analysis. Both the sensors have been subjected to external pressure ranges from 10 to 40 psi. The sensitivity is found to be ~0.526mv/psi in case of membrane; while in case of diaphragm, it is ~1.00mv/psi. The change in resistance for membrane varies linearly with respect to temperature and pressure; while change in resistance is altered in case of diaphragm. The TCR value of diaphragm and membrane was found to be ~5.76×10−3 (ºC)−land ~4.46×10−3 (ºC)−1.","PeriodicalId":155813,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Emerging Trends in Communication, Control and Computing (ICONC3)","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121829260","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The authors proposed a modified V2G control model managing the various renewable energy sources, vehicles' idle time and power generation, simultaneously, according to the vehicle user's day schedule. Vehicle-to-Grid power is controlled with respect to the desirable battery State-of-Charge and the detected plug-in terminal. In this paper, the proposed control block is implemented in MATLAB/Simulink. Performances of the control structure, the interface, the communication, the system efficiency, and time responses are analyzed by various simulated plots.","PeriodicalId":155813,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Emerging Trends in Communication, Control and Computing (ICONC3)","volume":"127 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130067508","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This will include all the responsibilities to make smart decisions streaming from the browsing patterns and produce extra supplements which aids in the decision-making progress. As the size of the data is recorded from a variety of devices like mobile sensors, remote sensing and data is recorded from everywhere; huge amount of data gets stored which is sometimes even never analysed. Big data is a very “big” thing which is getting stored and increasing the volume of raw data sometimes 90% of the raw data sets are never analysed and are just discarded from the memory. Out of it just 10% gets analysed sometimes and are converted into information from those raw data sets. So, analysis of data by human beings could be time consuming but processing enormous amount of data at a large scale using cognitive can be done. In this paper, we tried to focus on the areas where the cognitive computing can be used in order to lessen the shortcomings of the big data analytics, principles from which cognitive computing came. We also focused on the urgent need on how the language processing of data is done to understand the meaning of the rough data and process it to useful information.","PeriodicalId":155813,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Emerging Trends in Communication, Control and Computing (ICONC3)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116418691","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
