The green library is gradually being popularized because of the eco degradation that is ongoing globally. This study explores the level of awareness of librarians, availability and strategies employed by libraries for green initiatives. Three research questions and hypotheses guided the study. A descriptive survey research design method was used for the study. The population of the study is 102 librarians in South South federal University libraries using census sampling technique. The instrument (GIESAL) questionnaire was used to elicit information from the respondents. Data collected from the study were analyzed using weighted mean scores to determine the respondents' level of agreement on a particular item for the research questions. The hypotheses were tested using the z test at 0.05 significance level l. The findings revealed that the level of awareness of greening library among librarians is low, insufficient fund, lack of initiative and absence of sustainable policies. In conclusion the green initiative for environmental sustainability available in the libraries are sustainable sites, indoor environmental policy, innovation in design, water efficiency, solar and wind energy, which enhances sustainability of library resources.. The study recommended among others that there is a need to create more awareness for greening in libraries generally and employ strategic methods and planning sessions to ensure sustainability ","PeriodicalId":155183,"journal":{"name":"Library Progress (International)","volume":"48 18","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139533807","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The paper examines the growth of literature on the selected topic up to 2021 as indexed in the Web of Science database, measures country-wise contribution and author-wise contribution. First publication on the selected topic was recorded for the year 1990 in Web of Science database. USA has largest share of publications on the topic. Maximum number of contributions and maximum citations are noted for the year 2022. University of Malaya is top contributing institution. Onwuegbuzie is top contributing author. VOSviewer based collaborative network visualization map of journals as well as of authors are given. As per our knowledge, this study is first to explore literature output on Library Anxiety, Information Anxiety and Technology anxiety in English language. This paper will also encourage Indian authors to write on the topic as the study has found only five contributions from India in the Web of Science database. The study is useful for Researchers and faculty in the field of Library and Information Science as well as of Information Communication Technology. A user friendly library website can boost user experience and empower easy access to electronic resources. To effectively utilise electronic resources on a library website, users should be conversant with the site's interface, understand how to conduct searches, and have access to technical support. Electronic resources through library websites offer many benefits, such as convenience, 24/7 access, and cost-effectiveness, but limitations, such as restricted access, should also be considered. It employed the descriptive survey research design and used all the 255 undergraduate students who visit the library in Private Universities such as Novena University Library Ogume, Western Delta University, Oghara, Michael and Cecilia Ibru University, Library, Agbrha -Otor James Hope University, Edwin Clak University Library, Kaigbodo; Sports University , Library Idumuje, Ugboko, Margaret Lawrence University, Umunede Library, and Admirality University of Nigeria, Library Ibusa Ugwashi-Uku for PEQPs. Data for the study were collected in two phases over a period of two academic semesters with the first phase focusing on respondents’ collection of PEQPs, and the second phase requiring them to complete a questionnaire designed to elicit information on why they use PEQPs, what they gain and the overall outcome of their reliance on same. The study found that fresher rely more on (PEQPs), and most students use PEQPs as study guides as against pretesting themselves before an examination, the respondents do not see reliance on PEQPs as a major factor leading to improved academic performance of undergraduate students and this affects their perception of the effect PEQPs on their overall academic outcome. The study therefore concludes that as important as PEQPs usage seems to be, improper usage of same could be detrimental to the undergraduate users. This study examines scientometric analysis on Annona muricata (medicinal plant) by measuring and analysing the distribution of articles, year-wise, annual growth rate, authorship pattern, author productivity, relative growth rates, doubling time, degree of collaboration, ranked list of authors, and distribution of publications output. In this period of 31 years only 1236 publications were found. Publication of research in this field is not so much productive and only we have found that a maximum of 159 publications were published in 2020. Most prolific author is Hocquemiller, R. and at 1st rank in this field of Annona medicate. Brazil is at top position by publishing 269 publications followed by India (136). Universiti Putra Malaysia has taken lead by publishing 39 research papers. Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Cientafico e Tecnola³gico funded 39 research publications only and at top position. 1194 publication are published in English language only. After analysing above parameters it has been concluded that research work on this field, in this long span is very less and therefore a huge research gap is found. It offers resources for information. It offers resources for knowledge to meet students’ information needs. Between two groups of students, there can be a significant difference if the university library is properly explored, exploited, and used. Because of this, it is deemed crucial to teach newly admitted students how to use the library, and as a result, Nigerian institutions have made this official, examinable, credit earning teaching essential. Despite the library's education programme, students' attitudes at higher education institution libraries often give the impression that they are still unsure of how to use the facility's resources. It is well known that many students rely more on their lecture notes than they do on really exploring, taking advantage of, and using the library's resources. This vision is what this review is all about- the introduction of the concept Outcome-Based Education (OBE). The PubMed database was used as the primary source of data for the study, which considered 19638 papers on encephalitis published between 2013 and 2022.The study investigates several types of collaboration and collaboration measurements such as the Degree of Collaboration, the Collaborative Index, the collaborative coefficient and modified coefficient, and the authorship pattern. According to the study's findings, the year-by-year distribution depicts how scientific production develops year by year, with the highest production in 2021 (14.42%) and the lowest production in 2018 (7.99%).In the topic of Encephalitis, collaborative authorship accounts for over 90% (18708), whereas single-author publication accounts for only 4.74% (930).It has been observed that collaborative research is on the rise in this subject. During the study period from 2013 to 2016, the degree of collaboration ranged from 0.92 to1.01, with an average of 0.97. The average index is now 5.97, up from 5.63 to 6.27.
