The main part in the system, which makes it nonlinear, is the strengthener of its power. In power developers, linearity has inverse connection with efficiency. It means that If we want to endeavor for the linearity of the strengthener, we will be forced to lose the efficiency of it. However, both efficiency and linearity can be achieved in the strengthener by using distortion techniques. In this article, several distortion methods are investigated and digital distortion with polynomial memory has been studied due to its numerous advantages.","PeriodicalId":154051,"journal":{"name":"2019 1st International Conference on Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Engineering (ICECIE)","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130865742","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, increasing the performance of CNN models is becoming more important. One of the various methods to improve the performance of CNN models is to optimize hyper-parameters. This paper presents a method for optimizing the hyper-parameters of CNN models that classify MNIST data using genetic algorithm. Population-based algorithms, different from previous studies, can be used to optimize several parameters at once. In addition, different types and ranges of parameters from the existing genetic algorithms are used. Using this method, the hyper-parameter values that best classify MNIST have been obtained and are presented.","PeriodicalId":154051,"journal":{"name":"2019 1st International Conference on Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Engineering (ICECIE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133605230","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the semantic gap between the multimodality cannot be bridged simply, and the combination of the questions and the images may be arbitrary, which both hinder the jointly representing learning and make the VQA model easy for overfitting. Therefore, in this paper, a multi-stage attention model has been put forward, that is, for the image, the bottom-up attention and residual self-attention for the image itself and the question-guided double-headed soft (top-down) attention method were used to extract the image features; for the question, the pre-trained GloVe word embeddings were used in this paper to represent the semantics and the GRU was used to encode the questions into fixed-length sentence embedding; finally, the image features were fused with the question embedding through the Hadamard product and then input into the sigmoid multi-classifier. The experiment showed that with the model the overall accuracy of 67.26% in the VQA 2.0 dataset was finally achieved, higher than that of other advanced models.","PeriodicalId":154051,"journal":{"name":"2019 1st International Conference on Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Engineering (ICECIE)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114917268","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Kernel FCM-F (KFCM-F) and Kernel FCM-K (KFCM-K) are the two kernel versions of FCM. In KFCM-F the cluster centers are considered in the feature space, where as in KFCM-K the cluster centers are identified in the kernel space. KFCM-K is superior than KFCM-F w.r.t the clustering quality, but it is not applicable on large data sets because of its quadratic time complexity i.e., $O(n^{2})$ where $n$ is the size of the data set. This paper propose a new prototype based hybrid technique to speed-up KFCM-K for large data sets. The proposed method initially identifies some representative data items from the given data, say $l$ where $l < < n$, in linear time. The conventional kernel FCM-K is then applied over these representatives. As $l < < n$ the clustering time is reduced to $O(n+l^{2})$ from $O(n^{2})$. Experimental study on several benchmark data sets shows that the proposed method converges in less time when compare to conventional KFCM-K, but with a negligible deviation in the clustering quality.","PeriodicalId":154051,"journal":{"name":"2019 1st International Conference on Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Engineering (ICECIE)","volume":"145 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133836990","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These complex structures need continuous inspection to asses their state and to repair them if needed. For this reason, wind turbine inspection activities have increased globally. This work proposes a method for how to improve the quality of data produced by visual unmanned aerial vehicles in wind turbine inspections. To accomplish this task, a multi-beam LiDAR is used in combination with an RGB camera. The LiDAR measures the distance from the camera to the wind turbine accurately. Additionally, the size of possible damages on the structure of the wind turbine are estimated, which is a valuable information to asses potential structural damages that may affect the long term productive life-cycle of a wind turbine.","PeriodicalId":154051,"journal":{"name":"2019 1st International Conference on Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Engineering (ICECIE)","volume":"PP 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126443538","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the assembly structure, the angle between rods is the key parameter to evaluate the external fixator. However, there is no simple, fast and low-cost non-contact method for dynamic angle measurement. In this study, an angle measurement method based on image processing has been proposed, which utilizes the invariance of cross ratio in projection transformation. This method has the characteristics of high accuracy, low cost and low requirement for equipment.","PeriodicalId":154051,"journal":{"name":"2019 1st International Conference on Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Engineering (ICECIE)","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127917500","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Based on the steady-state analysis and design equations, a systematic design procedure is illustrated with a design example of 400W, 200V output converter with an input voltage of 40V to 80V. PSIM simulation results are given to evaluate the performance of the designed converter and an experimental converter was built to verify this. These results demonstrate soft-switching characteristics of the converter for the complete range. This dc-to-dc converter can form the front-end of utility interfaced PV array converter system and other step-up dc-dc converter applications requiring high-frequency transformer isolation.","PeriodicalId":154051,"journal":{"name":"2019 1st International Conference on Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Engineering (ICECIE)","volume":"90 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124153106","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

TFCC injures occur due to falling, traffic accident, abuse of wrist at work, long-time sport such as tennis, baseball and so on. A method of treatment of TFCC injuries is almost established. However, diagnosis has many points to be improved. There are imaging and palpation for diagnosing TFCC injuries. Imaging can confirm ligament tear; however, it cannot measure bone movement. On the other hand, there are ballottement test, piano key sign, ulnar fovea sign and so on in palpation methods, but these methods largely depend on doctor's sense and experience. Therefore, it is impossible to diagnose quantitatively yet. This study has developed a measurement system to assess instability of ulna toward palmar side and wrist pressure quantitively in real time by using 3D electromagnetic sensor and pressure sensor. Then, this study has measured instability of healthy people. After that, we analyzed a strain of the measurement. In addition, we confirm the repeatability of strain in healthy people.","PeriodicalId":154051,"journal":{"name":"2019 1st International Conference on Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Engineering (ICECIE)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117149643","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The assessment is validated through two industrial applications; a two-coupled tank and binary distillation column systems. The study has conducted several simulation scenarios using Matlab/Simulink software. Linear models are identified for the controlled systems where the input and output variables are subjected to non-stationary measurement of noise. In the first application, the Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) is utilized to provide a state space suboptimal model for the two-coupled tank system. The EKF is suggested as this process is characterized as a nonlinear system. The estimated model is then incorporated with the MPC control law to drive the process outputs to follow their set point trajectories. Similarly, the RLS algorithm was exploited to identify the parameters of multi-input single-output relationships for the aforementioned system. The similar policy was also implemented for the second application, which undertakes the binary distillation column. This system is classified as a linear process in this research, therefore the standard KF is utilized with application. The performance of the designed MPC scenarios, based on the two identification approaches, are evaluated by means of the Integral Squares Error (ISE) performance index","PeriodicalId":154051,"journal":{"name":"2019 1st International Conference on Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Engineering (ICECIE)","volume":"389 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114504642","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It combines the use of a programmable source of light, and light to voltage integrated circuit, with an open source Arduino microcontroller for wavelength control and data processing. A successful attempt has been made in miniaturizing the bulky optical components of a conventional spectrophotometer thereby cutting down the weight, cost, and tediousness of the instrument. For validation purposes, the device has been harnessed as a hemoglobin analyzer. Observed hemoglobin values were compared with those obtained from a standard laboratory hematology analyzer.
