The problem statement revolves around the need to bridge the gap between the traditional, silos education of healthcare disciplines and the demands of a modern healthcare ecosystem. Insufficient IPE can result in fragmented patient care, communication breakdowns and suboptimal outcomes. Thus, this study aimed to investigate the perceptions of undergraduate clinical students from Malaysian higher institutions about Interprofessional Education (IPE). This study was conducted among undergraduate final-year students of clinical programs, including nursing, Medical, Nursing, Pharmacy and Health Sciences programs in selected private and public Malaysian higher institutions. The quantitative data was analysed via descriptive statistics using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). Overall, the study received 288 responses from four public institutions and 3 private institutions. About 94.4% (272) of respondents claimed perceived needs for IPE. Most students agreed that patient care and critical patient care in general wards and community chronic patient care should be included in the content of IPE. More than 80% of the respondents agreed collaboration and teamwork, mutual understanding for other disciplines/professionals, conflict control and effective communication are the essential skills to be learned by IPE. The three most wanted IPE learning methods are lecture and discussion, clinical rotation, and role-playing. This study revealed differences in needs and perceptions regarding IPE between programs. This finding warrants further research to design appropriate IPE program goals and strategies that suit specific students' needs.","PeriodicalId":153855,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Intelek","volume":"161 ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140465697","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thus, this study pursued three main objectives: evaluating students' perceptions of bullying in a higher learning institution, analyzing influencing factors, and comparing perceptions between male and female students. To gather the required data, questionnaires were administered to a sample of students from an institution. Out of a total student population of 6190, 361 questionnaires were distributed, resulting in a 41% response rate. The results indicated a high perception of bullying occurrence. Peer pressure emerged as the most influential factor, obtaining the highest agreement with an average rating of 4.41, emphasizing its significance. The family factor ranked second at 4.07, while the individual factor received the lowest mean rating at 3.91. Meanwhile, no significant gender impact was observed. A key recommendation for future research is for students to proactively address bullying by reporting incidents, asserting their rights, and avoiding silence to prevent potential mental and physical health issues. Cultivating friendships is crucial, and parents should focus on bonding with their children to deter bullying. Boosting self-esteem is another vital measure to reduce the likelihood of becoming a target for bullies. Given the absence of gender-based distinctions in bullying, higher educational institutions should actively promote awareness about bullying for all students, regardless of gender.","PeriodicalId":153855,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Intelek","volume":"40 19","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140465142","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In higher learning education for engineering laboratory subjects, the requirement of evaluation provides complicated criteria where it needs to fulfill Outcome-based Education, Openended Laboratory and Complex Engineering Problems. Previously, the laboratory course was conducted through fully guided assignments by using too many separate evaluation guidelines and rubrics; thus, it became difficult to keep track each assessment tool and openness level which led to complication and confusion to the students. A misunderstanding process on the mapping of the criteria always occurs which contributes to the misleading of domain evaluation for each course. Therefore, this study was developed to design a comprehensive course evaluation framework for open-ended laboratory subjects by using educational and accreditation guidelines. EAC, UHEK and OEL guidelines were referred to as a comprehensive reference in developing the teaching and learning mechanism for each course developed in UiTM. Six main stages from the gathering of course information to the development of comprehensive rubrics should be carefully defined to ensure holistic framework is provided in this study. It was found that the framework provides clear mapping of the three main criteria developed as guidelines for the evaluation process in engineering laboratory subject. Besides that, it gives an objective evaluation criterion that meets the difficulty level of the subject with respect to OBE, OEL and CEP. The framework is able to be implemented in all subjects either engineering or non-engineering by mapping each evaluation criteria based on the nature of the subjects.","PeriodicalId":153855,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Intelek","volume":"312 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140468299","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The web-based application provides a platform for staff members and business proprietors to effectively modify and manage data related to stock and transactions. However, it is apparent that bakery enterprises exhibit a shared approach in their stock management procedures. The baker has a responsibility to manually update the stock availability on the WhatsApp group following each production. In order to maintain continuous production, it is imperative for management to take proactive measures by initiating the procurement of fresh stock from the vendor when the existing stock nears depletion. One potential resolution is the implementation of a streamlined stock management system that effectively addresses the needs of both bakers and managers. The objective of this project is to meet the demand for effective stock management among bakery store owners by offering a user-friendly and dependable system. The nStock system has been intentionally developed with the objective of effectively overseeing the procurement of raw materials from suppliers and accurately tracking the stock allocated for bakery production. The solution aims to employ Telegram bot services as a mechanism for alerting the management in the event that the stock levels fall below the predetermined reorder threshold. The approach employed by the project is in accordance with the Waterfall Model of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). A functionality test is conducted prior to implementation in order to verify its compliance with the specified design and functional requirements.
