It is associated with several cardiovascular diseases, chronic diseases, and even death. This study aims to assess the level of physical activity (PA) among students of Universiti Teknologi MARA Perlis. A cross-sectional study was carried out among 167 students within the age group of 20 to 27 years old. The Malaysian version of the Global Physical Activity Questionnaire (GPAQ) was used to measure the PA level. The results were expressed in MET-minutes/week (metabolic equivalent). More than half of the students (59%) were engaged in high physical activity per week, while 40% were engaged in moderate PA. A low level of physical activity was reported by 1% of the students. There was a significant contrast in the level of PA between genders, where the male was found to engage more in total PA than the female (p = 0.001). Sports Science students’ engagement was significantly higher in the total of PA (4600.13 MET) than in Business Administration students (3354.05 MET) (p = 0.002). There was a weak relationship between METS and gender (r = - 0.233, p = 0.002) and between MET and faculty (r = -0.287, p = 0.002), respectively. The present result indicates that most of the university students were physically active, where males were most active compared to females. However, a negative relation was found between the MET and gender or faculty, respectively. In essence, further research is necessary to identify the physical activity determinants among these populations.","PeriodicalId":153855,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Intelek","volume":"14 ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140463983","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In contemporary times, it is irrefutable that every form of business and company must possess resilience. Some businesses, especially Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), are not as robust and will fold under pressure. Certain owners experienced failure due to their insufficient awareness, which hindered their ability to demonstrate resilience. Moreover, the insufficiency of financial resources and limited access to necessary assets significantly contribute to the ineffectiveness of business activities. This study aims to explore how the resources of SME owners add to the resilience of businesses. The most common sources of resilience amongst the owners appear to be a combination of adaptation and social support. Regarding owners’ adaptability, most business owners make efforts to adjust to the prevailing circumstances due to the occurrence of crises and disruptions in business operations. This study identified a range of social support mechanisms available to owners within diverse organizational structures. These mechanisms include support from individuals external to the company, social interactions with newly acquainted individuals, as well as internal and external relationships with individuals within the organization and potential collaborators if required. The study used purposive sampling, specifically targeting a limited sample size of five SME owners in Kedah. The structured interview serves as the primary method for collecting data. Subsequently, the textual data was transcribed to facilitate analysis through a coding procedure. Therefore, themes will be employed to link certain facts.","PeriodicalId":153855,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Intelek","volume":"63 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140466536","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The increasing popularity of crowdfunding in Malaysia can be attributed to the support of information systems, particularly the internet and technology. The realm of financial technology innovations serves to enhance multiple facets of waqf fund management, particularly in addressing the challenges encountered by existing waqf models. As a result, waqf institutions can meet their liquidity needs for developing waqf properties without heavy reliance on government fund allocations by using the crowdfunding. Crowdfunding serves as a promising mechanism to achieve these objectives. Hence, the purpose of this study is to investigate why the waqf institution does not use crowdfunding to collect waqf funds. This study took a qualitative approach, analysing three chosen SIRCs in Malaysia's Northern Region. The data is subsequently subjected to thematic analysis. According to the survey, both WI1 and WI2 do not adopt crowdfunding owing to a lack of expertise and seek to increase the use of cashless waqf; however, WI3 already uses crowdfunding as a way of collecting waqf funds. The findings from this study will provide researchers with new information.","PeriodicalId":153855,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Intelek","volume":"32 ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140463276","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

E-wallet has become increasingly essential to avoid the virus transmission. The pandemic has led to a remarkable increase in e-wallet transactions in Malaysia. However, the reason behind the rapid rise in e-wallet usage is not widely agreed upon. Due to a lack of study on this topic, this paper contributes to the knowledge gap by studying and examining the significant factors that influence private university students’ continued usage intention to use e-wallet as a payment mechanism during the pandemic by incorporating constructs from Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2 (UTAUT2), Technology Continuance Theory (TCT), and Health Belief Model (HBM) into an integrated model. The study employed a quantitative design using Pearson correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis to assess the relationship between the variables through SPSS application. The convenience sampling method was used to select about 378 respondents from private universities in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, including UCSI University, Management & Science University, Asia Pacific University, HELP University, Taylor’s University, Sunway University, and SEGi University. The results revealed that facilitating conditions, social influence, perceived usefulness, perceived COVID-19 risk, and price benefit has a significant and positive contribution towards e-wallet continuance usage intention among Generation Alpha in Malaysia during the pandemic. The practical implications for the government and the service providers from the present findings can be used to develop strategies to promote the continuous intention of e-wallet usage during the COVID-19 pandemic.","PeriodicalId":153855,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Intelek","volume":"41 21","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140464567","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In reciprocating to this pandemic, Malaysia's theme park industry, have become more innovative in adapting to this rapidly changing new norm. This research ascertained the influence of service quality, promotion and price on customer patronage of theme parks during Covid-19. Data were collected from 340 respondents. Convenience sampling technique was used to select the respondents and a close ended structured questionnaire with a 5-point Likert scale was used for data collection. Findings from this study revealed that pricing and service quality has a strong influence on theme park patronage. This calls for management of theme parks to innovate and redesign their service quality dimensions and conduct consistent training in theme park service quality delivery to familiarize service delivery employees of their roles in the service delivery process. Theme parks too should inject flexibility in their ticket pricing to make them affordable. Such visitor-centric marketing approach can drive customer satisfaction, create positive word-of-mouth among visitors to increase patronage to the theme park and eventually heighten profits.","PeriodicalId":153855,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Intelek","volume":"485 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140466035","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Foam rolling is one of the self-myofascial approaches that can help to speed up the recovery process. It works by relaxing contracted muscles, improving blood and lymphatic circulation, and stimulating the stretch reflex in muscles. However, there is no previous research that studies the comparison of recovery modalities between foam rolling (FR), massage (M) and passive recovery (PAS) as tools of the recovery process on youth footballers. The aim of this study was to examine the effectiveness of FR (20 minutes of FR exercises on quadriceps, hamstrings, adductors, gluteus, and gastrocnemius), M (20 minutes of M on quadriceps, hamstrings, adductors, gluteus and gastrocnemius) and passive recovery (20 minutes sit on a bench) interventions performed immediately after a training session on Total Quality Recovery (TQR), perceived muscle soreness (VAS), jump performance, agility, sprint, and flexibility 24 hours after the training. During the two experimental sessions, 30 UiTM FC football players participated in a randomized controlled trial design. The first session was designed to collect the pretest values of each variable. After baseline measurements, the players performed a standardized football training. At the end of the training unit, all the players were randomly assigned to the FR, M and PAS recovery groups. A second experimental session was conducted to obtain the posttest values. As results, CMJ, agility (Arrowhead) and TQR showed positive effects in the FR group in comparison with the M and PAS groups at 24 hours after training. Thus, it is recommended that football coaches and physical trainers working with football players use a structured recovery session lasting approximately 20 minutes based on FR exercises that could be implemented at the end of a training session to enhance recovery between training loads.","PeriodicalId":153855,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Intelek","volume":"16 ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140463981","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Most beginners struggle to comprehend programming concepts because of their low maturity level, lack of programming experience, and difficulty understanding and learning the logic and scripting language. C++ is one of the basic, convenient programming languages that help programmers comprehend the principles of all programming languages. If the principles of C++ have been grasped, someone with a thorough knowledge of the language could easily transit to other programming languages. Therefore, this study proposes the combination of an educational game with C++ to provide early exposure to novice programmers and assist those who are struggling to learn the programming language. Furthermore, it attempts to create and develop an interactive, instructional programming game. Another purpose of this study is to test the usefulness of the generated programming game using a questionnaire. The study utilized the Agile Model because iterative development is one of its components. The agile technique consists of six (6) phases: requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and review. This study did usability testing with 30 individuals. Most of them agreed that gamification might change a tough and complex topic into one that would be incredibly engaging. In addition, it has ultimately allowed users to properly learn C++. Future work may employ a broader range of programming languages.","PeriodicalId":153855,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Intelek","volume":"274 ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140468021","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
