The task of the EMS is to efficiently balance power generation and consumption by controlling various energy sources, including photovoltaic systems, energy storage units, engine generator set and the utility grid. An EMS optimizes power flow between the microgrid components and keeps the micro-grid stable, by using different control strategies. In this microgrid, the PV system serves as the primary energy source, while the other sources of electrical energy act as backups. The energy management system prioritizes supplying load demand from either the PV system or the other sources, with load shedding during peak hours if the supplied energy is insufficient. On our behalf, the advanced approach is to build a CubeSat platform dedicated to academic and engineering training on the different satellite subsystems, including development of a transponder based on products and software/hardware solutions accessible to the research and academic community in order to promote its use to engage in cross-team development on the basis of this platform and allowing the aggregation of a know-how. \u0000In this context, the work presented in this paper, handles partly the problematic by a proposal of the communication system design, intended to be integrated on our platform; with a particular focus on the implementation of an FSK modulator based on the Bell 202 standard. Abdelkader","doi":"10.51485/ajss.v8i1.179","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.51485/ajss.v8i1.179","url":null,"abstract":"In this paper, attention has been paid to the importance of knowing the exact values of the temperature coefficients used in modeling of four different types of photovoltaic modules these modules are; monocrystalline silicon m-Si, polycrystalline silicon p-Si, amorphous silicon a-Si, and micromorphous silicon thin film μm-Si installed in outdoor conditions in north-central Algeria. The value of the temperature coefficients provided by the module manufacturer in the datasheet is obtained under specific conditions called the standard test conditions STC, but in reality, these conditions vary significantly if the modules are operated in real climatic conditions, this will lead us to recalculate these coefficients again to improve our model using a database collected over a period of one year obtained by our characterization bench of PV modules using a two diodes model. An adaptive proportional derivative controller (PD) is proposed to deal with the influence of external disturbance in the attitude controller. The uncertain disturbances can be estimated through an adaptive algorithm and can be compensated in the proposed controller. The microgrid connected to the grid is composed of renewable sources such as photovoltaic and wind conversion associated with a hybrid battery hydrogen fuel generation storage system. An adaptive intelligent control unit is developed to manage the power flow between the hybrid power sources and other devices in the system. The controller chooses the optimal operating mode of power sources ensuring the continuous supply of the injecting power in the grid and maintaining the battery state of charge at acceptable levels as the hydrogen tank level. Complete mathematical modeling for the proposed system is implemented in MATLAB/Simulink to track the microgrid performance. However, this type of controller is less efficient due to a sign function that can lead to chattering phenomenon. To overcome this deficiency, the function is replaced by fuzzy logic control (FLC). This is what is proposed in this paper which deals with doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) based wind turbine conversion system (WECs) by sliding mode control and fuzzy sliding mode control (FSMC). The system control have been applied to the back to back converters that connect rotor windings to the grid, For the rotor side converter (RsC), we have presented sliding mode control, and fuzzy sliding mode control to monitor active and reactive powers independently, when the grid side converter (GsC) was set to keep a constant DC voltage with a desired power factor. The effectiveness of the proposed control systems is tested using Matlab/Simulink software under a wind speed fluctuation and parameters variation. The reference trajectory is generated using a joystick device and it is estimated using a Luenberger observer. Assuming that the position of the microrobot is measured, the objective is to design an observer-based MPC control capable to track the reference trajectory generated by a joystick device. To optimize the MPC control, we have introduced a quadratic criterion where these parameters are determined to have a specific behavior of the closed loop system. The proposed UPQC is designed by the integration of shunt and series APFs (Active Power Filters) sharing a common dc bus capacitor. The dc voltage is maintained constant using proportional integral voltage controller. To get the reference signals for shunt and series APFs, synchronous current detection method (SCD) and instantaneous reactive power (PQ) strategies are adopted. These reference signals are derived from the control algorithm and injected in LS-SPWM (Level Shifted-Sin Pulse Width Modulation) controllers to generate the switching signals. The performance of proposed UPQC system is evaluated using MATLAB-Simulink software and SimPowerSystem Toolbox for all voltage disturbances compensation.
