The synchronization of power-tuned supercontinuum generation with the time-delay of Pump/Stokes pulses in CARS hypermicroscopy allows for more effective pulse interactions — in a method we denote “spectral surfing. This, in turn, enables the single-window scanning of a broader range of CARS frequencies — from 300 cm<sup>−1</sup> to 3500 cm<sup>−1</sup>.","PeriodicalId":153736,"journal":{"name":"2017 Photonics North (PN)","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123470403","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The optical properties of the dielectric layers have played an important role on the optical performance of the hybrid mode. In this study, we investigated the effect of the refractive index of the high index dielectric core layer on the propagation length enhancement.","PeriodicalId":153736,"journal":{"name":"2017 Photonics North (PN)","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128924651","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A saturated absorption was identified as the main physical mechanism responsible for the nonlinear ultraviolet absorption in a nanosecond regime. A single-beam transmittance experiment was carried out with pulses provided by the third harmonic of a Nd:YAG laser system. A two-level model led us to estimate the ultrafast optical response of the nanoparticles. It is highlighted the potential of the sample to control nanophotonic signals.","PeriodicalId":153736,"journal":{"name":"2017 Photonics North (PN)","volume":"163 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122272535","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
