This study focuses on the South Jakarta Metropolitan Police Criminal, which had problems with their investigators’ performance. The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of leadership, organizational culture, job satisfaction, and job performance on Police Investigators of South Jakarta Metropolitan Police CID. A hypothetic model was self-modified on basis of some of previous studies and the initial hypothesis stated that there was a positive influence or correlation of the three variables on the investigator’s job performance. This study used a mix-methods of questionnaire to collect data from overall population of 59 investigators from the South Jakarta Metropolitan Police CID, which was followed by interviews of eight related informants. More significantly, the data obtained were analyzed using structural equation modeling and partial least square software to focused on multi-variant variables. The study results showed that full range leadership, organizational culture, and job satisfaction had a positive and significant influence on investigators’ performance, and full range leadership was the most influencing factor. Keywords—full range leadership, job performance, job satisfaction, organizational culture","PeriodicalId":153335,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2nd International Conference on Strategic and Global Studies (ICSGS 2018)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114907811","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Student transvestites choose virtual spaces as places to showcase and acknowledge their gender. Seeing that reality will bear different meanings for people who experience their self-identity creates a distinct experience for student transvestites during college due to social media. Therefore, researchers are interested to explore the self-representation of student transvestites on social media. This study analyzed the theory of simulacra and hyperreality of Jean Baudrillard. The research approach is qualitative and descriptive. Mechanical selection of informants was conducted using snowball sampling and purposive sampling. Data were collected through passive participation, in-depth interviews, and the study of documentation and were then analyzed using interactive model analysis which includes reducing the data, displaying the data, and drawing conclusions. Results of the study revealed elements of the self-representation of student transvestites on social media including (1) a desire to show their identity, (2) expression as a work of art and entertainment, (3) feelings of loneliness and a desire to get attention, and (4 he promotion of makeup. Keywords—self-identitycreates self-representation, social media, student transvestites","PeriodicalId":153335,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2nd International Conference on Strategic and Global Studies (ICSGS 2018)","volume":"91 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124025863","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A Safe House is an institution that is networked with other institutions in a Safe House System (SHS) to protect and help women victims achieve justice from domestic violence through the judicial process. The SHS not only helps women victim with legal matters but also supports their mental and physical health and strengthen their relationship with their family and society. From the perspectives of anthropology and legal pluralism, an institution can be one approach to unraveling the complexities of social and cultural structures that exist in society and the complexity of the legal state that governs them. To address these possible transportation problems, a transitoriented development (TOD) policy is soon to be implemented in Dukuh Atas, Jakarta. Therefore, the research objective was to examine resident travel behavior based on socioeconomic characteristics and land use based on the TOD policy in Dukuh Atas. A model was developed to more closely examine the travel behavior influencing factors in the Dukuh Atas TOD area. Questionnaires were distributed to 300 respondents (150 inhabitants near the transit station and 150 commuters), and the data analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM). It was found that the travel behavior in Dukuh Atas TOD was more influenced by socioeconomic status (0.431) than land use in the TOD area (0.251). In general, the income, transportation costs, and educational background variables were found to be the most influential socioeconomic variables. Moreover, respondent travel behavior was not found to be unduly influenced by transit area facilities. Our preliminary assessment focuses on cases involving the misuse of charitable funds and charitable foundations around the globe. Following an introduction to the situational crime prevention approach, we then discuss the legal framework of such foundations and highlight their weaknesses that can be utilized by terrorists, in order to prevent their misuse for terrorist financing. We use one case study to explore whether aligning a situational crime prevention approach with the prevailing laws and regulations to counter-terrorist financing can prevent the misuse of charitable foundations. Our findings identify loopholes that can be misused by terrorists, because the current strategy still depends on the effectiveness of law enforcement and financial intelligence to detect and investigate terrorist financing. We suggest the use of a situational crime prevention approach to minimize the risk of terrorists’ misuse of charitable foundations, through consistent government intervention and the involvement of community liability. This paper is a study of the practicalities involved in countering terrorist financing from preventative perspectives and will be of interest to those involved in counter-terrorist policy-making, investigations, and technologies that can prevent terrorist financing. This technology is not only usable by able-bodied people, but a variety of inclusive innovations in information and communication tools also makes it accessible to those with physical or cognitive limitations. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach to describe patterns of utilization by the disabled as well as reconsider the definition of “disability” in this era of advanced information and communication technology. The author examines the phenomenon of smartphone addiction and incorporates the theoretical concepts of alienation and repressive desublimation into its analysis of research findings. The results show that the digital natives who are blind interpret smartphones equipped with a wide range of inclusive applications as tools that can improve their quality of life through mediating self-capacity development. The use of ICT greatly facilitates blind people’s capacity for group communication and accessing a variety of information, which thereby increases their dependency toward smartphones. Therefore, although the enhancement of media socialization by the use of smartphones is a positive development, this phenomenon has also led to widespread technology addiction. Such problems are not only the concern of the State in question, but also for the societies surrounding it. One of the responses toward such problems comes from Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT), a philanthropic foundation financed by social fundraising which undertakes various voluntary, humanitarian activities. In the midst of the birth of similar humanitarian foundations, ACT needs to improve the institutional resources so it can still facilitate the social participations of the community. Therefore, the underlying consideration of the study aims to explain the social capital built up by the ACT and from which the social participations are facilitated as efforts of helping to solve humanitarian social problems. By using a qualitative approach, the data of this study was collected through observations, studies of literature, in depth interviews, and audio-visual documents. The study found that: 1) The ACT, as a social movement, facilitates community participations by undertaking donation activities and volunteering based on Islamic values and nationalism; and, 2) it also promotes humanitarian principles aimed at building humanitarian solidarity and increasing public awareness to create positive changes within societies.
