Therefore, preserving and comprehending these dance forms is a relevant problem in context with the digital preservation of the Indian Heritage. In this paper, we propose a novel framework to classify Indian classical dance forms from videos. The representations are then extracted through Deep Convolution Neural Network(DCNN) and Optical Flow. Moreover these representations are trained on a multi-class linear support vector machine(SVM). Furthermore, a novel dataset is introduced to evaluate the performance of the proposed framework. The framework is able to achieve the accuracy of 75.83 % when tested on 211 videos.","PeriodicalId":153165,"journal":{"name":"2017 13th International Conference on Signal-Image Technology & Internet-Based Systems (SITIS)","volume":"412 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122865214","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper presents a novel solution for occupancy analysis in soccer fields, which is needed to assist the management for resource assessment. The analysis is based on player detection in the soccer fields. The process of detection is performed by using one static fish-eye camera, which is achieved by enhancement of the players based on their structural properties using 2-D Gabor wavelet combined with background subtraction. Moreover, the gray scale intensity matching is performed for catering luminance issues. Occlusion is handled through a color and compactness based analysis of expected player regions. It has been shown through experiments that the developed method results in precise analysis of occupancy i.e. an average error of .0094 % for no player in the field, 2.67% for full activity in the field and 3.64% during transition.","PeriodicalId":153165,"journal":{"name":"2017 13th International Conference on Signal-Image Technology & Internet-Based Systems (SITIS)","volume":"164 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122907277","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Internet, which aims to increase the availability of Internet at anyplace and any time(the state or capacity of being everywhere, especially at the same time) through integration of the physical objects (embedded with software, sensors, actuators etc.) into the information network which enables these objects to collect data and exchange it. IoT paradigm when applied to Cultural Heritage (CH) encompasses a very wide range of technologies, hence a single reference architecture won't be enough for all possible implementations. IoT's basic model is a 5-layered architecture comprising of Business, Application, Service Management, Object Abstraction and Objects layers. With the evident fact that IoT is still in its formative stages, the main objective of this paper is to reflect that the IoT architecture is growing in an evolutionary fashion. An area of overlap exists between several reference architectures and this study of 5-layer model shows how architecture in this context means a framework for the specifications of physical objects, their organization, communication principles, operational methods and data formats used in their operations. This model provides a definitive goal for rethinking CH in terms of sustainability along with development of new activities that generate economic returns.","PeriodicalId":153165,"journal":{"name":"2017 13th International Conference on Signal-Image Technology & Internet-Based Systems (SITIS)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129354052","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thus, the concept of crowdsourcing continues to be in situations where the ideas, work, opinion or expertise of large groups of people are used. It is now used in various organizational strategy initiatives. However, this use has generally focused on open collaborative platforms and specific steps in the policy-making process such as agenda setting and policy assessments. In addition, other forms of crowdsourcing have been neglected in policy making with a few exceptions. This paper provides an overview of the crowdsourcing concept, gives examples of its use in the e-government sectors, and develops a crowdsourcing based framework for how governments can begin to strategize and think about the crowdsourcing to solve problems when engaging with citizens. Our framework is illustrated with the suspect investigation and identification.","PeriodicalId":153165,"journal":{"name":"2017 13th International Conference on Signal-Image Technology & Internet-Based Systems (SITIS)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129405953","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For this reason, predictive input, which suggesting next words, is important to type word efficiently. On the other hands, Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs) are very powerful sequence models. Thus, we developed the input method editor (IME), which using n-gram and a recurrent neural networks language model based predictive text input. Since the gold standard method used for the diagnosis of osteoporosis, Dual X-ray Absorptiometry (DXA), is expensive and not widely available in low economies, there is a need for low cost approaches to detect bone loss in people. A new automated radiogrammetric method for early diagnosis of osteoporosis from a single hand radiograph is proposed. In this technique, the third metacarpal bone is segmented from hand X-ray images using Active Appearance Models (AAM). Points of interest acquired from the segmented bone are used to take radiogrammetric measurements, from which bone indices are calculated. Data used in this work was acquired from 138 subjects in two hospitals in India. Significant radiogrammetric features were selected using statistical analysis. The bone indices are observed to be significantly correlated with Bone Mineral Density (BMD) of the lumbar spine measured using DXA. Different classification models were trained using the significant features. The results obtained are promising and can be used as a cost effective diagnostic tool for early detection of osteoporosis.","PeriodicalId":153165,"journal":{"name":"2017 13th International Conference on Signal-Image Technology & Internet-Based Systems (SITIS)","volume":"110 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121822519","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Many sequence mining algorithms have been developed to discover frequent sub-sequences as sequential patterns in a sequence database given the minimum support threshold. One of the drawbacks with the conventional sequential pattern mining is, it considered only the generation order of elements in the sequences in finding sequential patterns.However, in real world application domain sequences, the generation times and time-intervals between the elements are also very important. Another drawback is, all the sequence patterns are treated uniformly while in reality different sequential patterns have different importance. To address the second drawback, weighted sequential pattern mining was proposed, which aims to find more interesting sequential patterns, by considering different significance for data elements in a sequence database. However, weighted sequential pattern mining did not consider time-interval information of the sequences. This paper presents a new approach for mining time-interval based weighted sequential patterns (TIWSP) in a sequence database. In the proposed approach, the weight of each sequence in a sequence database is obtained from the time-intervals of successive elements in the sequence, and then sequential pattern are mined by considering the time interval weight. Experimental results show that TIWSP mining is efficient than PrefixSpan in generating more interesting patterns.","PeriodicalId":153165,"journal":{"name":"2017 13th International Conference on Signal-Image Technology & Internet-Based Systems (SITIS)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121287543","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The videos are produced in neurophysiological experiments on the study of convulsive electrical activity of the brain cortex. Videos of behaviour of laboratory rats were recorded simultaneously with electroencephalograms (EEG) in the animals. A comparison of EEG data with the behaviour of the animals is necessary because sharp motions of the animals can result in EEG signals that are very similar to the epileptic discharges. Thus, the first task of the video monitoring is recognition of the sharp motions of the animals and using this information for proper interpretation of the results of the experiments. The second task of the video monitoring is analysis of behaviour of animals in cognitive testing. Essential feature of the video records is in that the experiments are conducted in the same cage where the animal lives, that is, the background of the cage is sawdust. The colour of the animals is about the same as the colour of the sawdust; thus the detection of the animals is not a simple task. In the paper, development of low-level algorithms for video analysis as well as logical methods for the analysis of the animal behaviour is discussed. The methods and algorithms are implemented in the Actor Prolog object-oriented logic language.","PeriodicalId":153165,"journal":{"name":"2017 13th International Conference on Signal-Image Technology & Internet-Based Systems (SITIS)","volume":"178 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134219976","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Several researchers in the field of biometric based authentication systems have claimed that the main reason for several matching errors is the poor segmentation of the trait. The task of segmentation for a biometric based authentication system is one of the most crucial, as most of the matching and recognition algorithms are performed on the particular region of interest in an acquired image. In this paper we propose two novel end to end convolutional neural network based architectures for region of interest extraction in an iris. The proposed architectures take the image of an eye as input and produce two circular regions of interests for the Iris and Pupil respectively. The two networks proposed were inspired from two state of the art object detection networks Faster RCNN (Region based Convolutional Neural Network) and SSD (Single Shot Multi-Box Detector), both these modified networks were trained for 8000 images. Experimental analysis performed proves that both of our techniques have very high performance in terms of accuracy's and overlaps.","PeriodicalId":153165,"journal":{"name":"2017 13th International Conference on Signal-Image Technology & Internet-Based Systems (SITIS)","volume":"69 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116699786","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
