However, scientific research conclusively proving its utility is lacking. This study was performed to ascertain the remedy’s therapeutic utility and efficacy in treating varicose veins and its complications using the revised venous clinical severity score (VCSS) tool and Doppler studies.\u0000\u0000\u0000\u0000A prospective uncontrolled experimental study with purposive sampling was performed; the subjects were selected from the outpatient department. A total of 32 cases, fulfilling the inclusion and exclusion criteria were clinically examined. The VCSS and Doppler test before and after treatment with Hamamelis 30 were performed.\u0000\u0000\u0000\u0000The Wilcoxon signed-rank test was applied and the change in the median VCSS was found to be statistically significant. P-value of the pre score was 5.53 ± 4.15 and that of the post score was 3.45 ± 2.36 with a mean change of 2.09 ± 2.87 and 37.69% improvement with P-value of 0.000 < 0.01. Study design: A prospective randomized control trial conducted at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital, Erandwane, Pune, wherein Group A received standard treatment along with indicated homoeopathic medicine (experimental group) and Group B received the standard treatment and placebo (control group). Sample size: Fifty confirmed COVID positive, randomly selected patients in Groups A and B. The indicated homoeopathic medicine as an adjuvant reduced subjective distress in a statistically significant proportion. It also reduced oxygen requirement, shortened hospital stay, promoted early recovery, and reduced worsening of the patients and shifting into the intensive care unit (ICU). By day 4 of treatment, subjective symptoms in 56% of patients in the experimental group were completely resolved, compared to 15% in the control group. The oxygen requirement on day 4 reduced by 46.2% in the experimental group, remaining unchanged in the control group. None of the patients in the experimental group needed shifting to the ICU compared to 16.7% in the control group. The average hospital stay was 6 days in the experimental group, compared to 9 days in the control group. Homoeopathic medicines played a significant role in helping to relieve the subjective and objective parameters of COVID-19.

In many newborn cases, hydrocoele disappears on its own within 1st year of birth; if it does not disappear, then it needs to be surgically removed, but the procedure has its own risks. Homoeopathy assures the dissolution of fluid and prevents the risks of surgery. A 2-year-old boy with a scrotal enlargement (left-sided; volume 35 mm × 16 mm) presented at the outpatient department of Dr. MPK Homoeopathic Hospital, Jaipur, Rajasthan. Based on the presenting totality and pathological diagnosis, Pulsatilla 200 and an intercurrent remedy Rhododendron 200 were prescribed. The cell line U-2 OS was plated in two 96-well plates for 24 h with culture medium at 37 5°C and 5% CO2. Subsequently, this medium was replaced by another one containing VAD3 and VAD30 separately in concentrations ranging from 10 to 100 μL/mL, as well as a control group (culture medium only). These plates were kept in culture for 48 h. MTT assay was performed to evaluate the percentage of viable cells. Subsequently, concentrations ranging from 1 to 10 μL/mL were tested.
