As wireless mesh networks become more and more popular, performance evaluation of different routing algorithms is required in static scenarios. Performance comparison between unipath routing and multipath routing is conducted in this paper. From the simulation results we find that multiple paths should not be employed simultaneously to avoid interference among paths. Researchers should focus on how to find the path with the best quality.","PeriodicalId":151593,"journal":{"name":"2012 Third International Conference on Networking and Distributed Computing","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-10-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130992334","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The current Internet uses address-centric network communication model, which is suitable for the communications between hosts but not efficient in the communications between hosts and networks. Given this fact, Information-Centric networking (ICN) becomes the hot spot to meet the new requirements. ICN exists congestion which isn't well solved. The congestion control protocols in IP network aren't suitable for ICN transport, so we provide a new congestion control protocol-RRCP. RRCP based on XCP and ICN transport characteristics raises a receiver-driven, router feedback, multi-request windows and timeout mechanisms. RRCP shows efficient, fair and stable via simulation's results.","PeriodicalId":151593,"journal":{"name":"2012 Third International Conference on Networking and Distributed Computing","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-10-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131147294","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this architecture all the network sources will be looked as content and routed by name. In this paper, we describe a scheme about the memory management in CCN and explore the impact of this management. We hope to design a solution for the in-network cache. To this purpose, we set up an application platform using the open source CCNx prototype and redesign the cache management by using a different data structure-splay tree and replacement policy compared to the existing design. This data structure is very suitable for caching for that recently accessed content is quick to access again. We also imitate some related work and design a similar experiment. The experimental results show the high efficiency of our management. Our solution improves the hit probability and make the popular content less time to access.","PeriodicalId":151593,"journal":{"name":"2012 Third International Conference on Networking and Distributed Computing","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-10-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115462378","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed scheme introduces a new parameter, persistent factor, and combines with the dynamic adjustment of parameters, whose optimal value can dynamically follow the change of the load based on the network status. At the same time, the transmission probability of each priority class can be updated by optimal persistent factor to achieve the channel utilization close to its optimal value. Simulation results show that DSA-MAC can achieve much higher throughput and have shorter delay than standard CSMA/CA based DCF in all different WSN environments, and is simple and easy to implement","PeriodicalId":151593,"journal":{"name":"2012 Third International Conference on Networking and Distributed Computing","volume":"56 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-10-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122584842","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We apply Bilateral Filtering for images to preserve the information of large sharp edges and to facilitate the task of Shape Context feature (SC) extracting. Then, we study an image descriptor based on an improved Shape Context feature (ISC), which is more robust to object deformation. For a test image, improved SC features are extracted and matched to the codebook. A voting scheme then obtains object locations from the matching results. Experimental results with Infrared Image Database demonstrate that our method is suitable for infrared images, and is promising.","PeriodicalId":151593,"journal":{"name":"2012 Third International Conference on Networking and Distributed Computing","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-10-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122856467","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed algorithm employs four main processes to generate depth maps for all frames in video sequences. First, the depth map of the key frames in the input sequences are generated by manual work. Second, the frames in the input sequences are over-segmented by Simple Linear Iterative Clustering (SLIC) method. Third, each super pixel in the non-key frame is used to match the corresponding super pixel in the key frame. Finally, the depth value in every super pixel is assigned by the matching result. The experiments showed that the proposed algorithm works well and give good depth generation quality and high efficiency.","PeriodicalId":151593,"journal":{"name":"2012 Third International Conference on Networking and Distributed Computing","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-10-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127135363","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
