Methodology- In the study, the global world uncertainty index (WUI) constructed by Ahir et al. (2022) is used as an indicator of global uncertainty. A structural auto regressive (SVAR) model is established, which includes five variables (global uncertainty indicator, economic growth rate, inflation rate, unemployment rate, and interest rate). In addition, three real variables representing economic activity (real consumption, real investment and real bank loans) are substituted for unemployment rate in the model, respectively. The data set covers the period 2003Q1-2020Q1. Findings- According to the findings of impulse response and variance decomposition analyses, real GDP growth, real consumption growth, real investment growth and real credit growth react negatively and significantly to an increase in global uncertainty. On the other hand, inflation rate, unemployment rate and interest rate respond positively and significantly to an increase in global uncertainty. These results prove that a global uncertainty shock creates the similar effects of a negative supply shock on the Turkish economy. In addition, the robustness of the findings is checked using the global economic policy uncertainty (GEPU) index developed by Baker et al. (2016). Conclusion- In the light of these findings, it can be suggested that the negative effects of global uncertainty shocks on domestic macroeconomic indicators should be mitigated through monetary and fiscal policies. Since 1980’s various transformations are experienced in health sector worldwide with the effects of global neo-liberal policies. New products, new methods, and new markets are emerged. Health tourism and Health Free Zones (SASEB) are at the forefront of these developments. First, the health tourism entered the world agenda in 1990s, and since the 2000s, Health Free Zones have followed this trend. The Health Free Zone project attracts the attention of many countries that want to get a big share from the global health tourism market, to attract foreign direct investments (FDI), to benefit from technology transfer, to increase health quality and standards, to exchange information and experience, and to attract specialist physicians and health personnel. United Arab Emirates was the first country in the world to realize this project in 2002, and in the following years, China, South Korea, Indonesia and Nigeria started the implementation steps, and countries such as Turkey and India could not continue despite their rapid start. Although the Health Free Zone project, which came to the fore in Turkey in 2010, aroused great excitement in the whole country, the project could not be realized. With the change of the minister and senior bureaucrats of the period, the interest of the government in SASEB project decreased. Although attempts have been made by the private sector in various provinces, no results have been achieved until today. Methodology- In this study, an answer has been sought to the question of what are the factors that affect the selection of the location for SASEB. The study was conducted with a sample group consisting of those working in the health sector or related fields in Turkey. A total of 518 persons have participated in the study, in which a 5-point Likert scale and quantitative method was used. Parametric analyses were carried out with the data obtained from the remaining 491 individuals, after subtracting 27 units from the data, which hindered the normal distribution of the data. Frequency charts of demographic data belonging to the sample group were drawn by using SPSS v.23, and the obtained data were also subjected to t-test and ANOVA analysis. Findings- The analysis reveals that the majority of the sample group confirmed that Istanbul (89,6%), Izmir (88,4%), Antalya (87,3%) and Ankara (83,9%) were the most appropriate provinces for the SASEB project. The strategic situation of the location has a significant impact on the decision processes (92,3%), followed by other factors such as the availability of transportation facilities (91,7%) and the availability of airport facilty in the region (90,1%). The objective of this research is to enhance customer satisfaction and business performance by addressing and eliminating failure situations in the processing phases of the business departments and improving the quality of the system. To achieve this, the study focuses on evaluating third-party and fourth-party logistics service providers in the context of sustainability. While there are existing approaches to evaluate party logistics under general headings, there is a lack of specific studies focusing on companies operating in a single field. Therefore, this study aims to fill that gap by examining the business evaluation criteria of third-party and fourth-party logistics service providers for a white goods company in Turkey. Methodology- During the research, the concept of third-party logistics has gained attention within the scope of sustainability, the competition among organizations providing this service has become more intense, as have customer expectations. The research utilizes Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Pareto Analysis (PA) to assess the sustainability of the supply chain and batch logistics for the company. Findings- As a result of the research, the findings in the direction of quality improvement-development within the scope of the service provided by the business are presented. The initial phase of process enhancement for logistics operations begins with the FMEA results. Development initiatives may begin if improvement initiatives are maintained. Development activities and resources ought to be distributed in accordance with this level of priority with regard to the first work that has to be performed to enhance the process. Conclusion- All risk considerations might not be realized inside a particular process since there are only a limited number of possibilities to be assigned for enhancement prosperity. By conducting risk prevention studies in accordance with the priorities that will be decided upon each period, it is intended to produce continuous improvement. Overall, while it may not be possible to address every risk, prioritizing risks and conducting risk prevention studies can help organizations achieve continuous improvement and increase their chances of success. When the value and usefulness of accounting information used to gauge business financial performance are undermined by earnings management methods, problems arise. As a result, the information presented may deceive financial statement users about the corporation's financial performance. Because IFRS demands managerial judgment in the accounting process by definition, its adoption may even increase the chance for real earnings management (REM). This study aims to examine the impact of REM to the value relevance of accounting information before and after IFRS adoption. Methodology- The population was manufacturing companies listed on the IDX, with samples 230 firm year observations consists of one hundred fifteen firms year before adoption of IFRS and one hundred fifteen firms year after IFRS adoption. this study used firms’ abnormal levels of cash flows, production costs, and discretionary expenditures as proxies for real earnings management. Using a price model and panel data, the main result confirms that real-based earnings management has an impact on the value relevance of earnings and book value of equity before IFRS adoption, but has no effect after IFRS adoption. Findings- The findings revealed that prior to the adoption of IFRS, real earnings management was employed by companies that had higher earnings value relevance and lower equity book value relevance than companies that did not apply earnings management. After the adoption of IFRS, there is no significant effect of real earnings management on the value relevance of earnings and equity book value. Conclusion- The results show that investors believe that earnings are a signal from managers with the implementation of real earnings management prior to the adoption of IFRS, but after the adoption IFRS, they may not be able to do so. SAD affects most of the financial markets. Since there is scarce research on the relationship between SAD and cryptocurrency returns, this study is aimed to examine the impact of SAD on green cryptocurrencies. To the best of the author’s knowledge, this is the first study that investigates the relationship between SAD and the returns of green cryptocurrencies, so the study is expected to fill the gap in the related literature. Methodology- Cardano (ADA), Tron (TRX), and Stellar (XLM) are considered for the analysis, which covers the period spanning from January 2018 to March 2023. The multiple regression model has been implemented by including dummies for autumn, Mondays, and tax-loss selling. A specific location must be specified for the latitude information to determine how many hours are spent at night. The latitude of New York City is considered for that calculation because the majority of cryptocurrency users are concentrated in the USA. Findings- The findings demonstrate that the SAD, autumn, Monday, and tax-loss selling effects have no impact on green cryptocurrencies. Due to the worldwide spread of cryptocurrency investors, these effects are probably mitigated. Conclusion- According to the results, arbitrageurs are unable to benefit from generating abnormal returns using seasonal return patterns. Future studies might use non-linear techniques, change the location that is considered when calculating latitude, and include more cryptocurrencies in their examinations. The aim is to enhance the overall comprehension of how variations in ESG scores from two rating agencies can potentially impact the relationship between ESGP and FP. Methodology- This study undertakes a comparative and descriptive analysis of panel data comprising 464 companies operating in environmentally sensitive sectors worldwide. The dataset covers the period from 2011 to 2020 and incorporates ESG ratings from Bloomberg and Refinitiv databases, as well as the financial performance metric return on assets (ROA) sourced exclusively from Refinitiv covering the times series of 2012 to 2021. Findings- According to our research, there is evidence of a relationship between ESG scores and return on assets (ROA), with distinct correlations depending on the rating agencies employed. Specifically, Refinitiv ESG scores demonstrate a negative correlation with ROA, while Bloomberg ESG scores reveal a positive correlation. Additionally, our study highlights a positive correlation specifically between the Bloomberg environmental score and ROA. Conclusion- Previous scholarly studies have already established a correlation between the level of information disclosure displayed by corporations and the aforementioned matter being investigated. However, our research suggests that the varying findings documented in existing academic papers may also stem from the utilization of ESG score data sourced from various rating agencies. It's possible that a variety of characteristics, such as gender, age, income level, social standing, education, etc., will affect an investor's behavior. The purpose of this study is to highlight the behavior of investors in Turkish capital markets. The analysis is done on the results of two surveys, the first conducted in the fourth quarter of 2022 and the second in the first quarter of 2023. Methodology- This study's objective is to highlight investor behavior and risk perception in Turkish financial markets. In the most recent two consecutive quarters, the results of two surveys are analyzed and compared. Three sections comprise the surveys. A demographic question is asked in the first section. The second section asks questions concerning investment behavior, signs of financial stress, and confidence in regard to one's financial literacy. The final aspect contributes to the analysis of what people think of the Bitcoin market. In this study, Graphic analysis, Cronbach Alpha, Normality, and Mann-Whitney U tests are performed, respectively. First, the graphical analysis of the selected questions is made. Based on these graphs, the similarities and differences between the surveys are shown. Second, The reliability test is applied to the selected questions for the statistical modeling of the analysis. This test is determined as the Cronbach Alpha test. Third, the Normality test is applied to reveal which test to use in the next step. Two different tests are used for this analysis. These are the Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Shapiro-Wilk tests. Fourth, the Mann-Whitney U test is applied. At this stage, firstly, Mann-Whitney U and Wilcoxon W test statistics are examined. The ranks are calculated for each variable. Finally, the Mann-Whitney U test is applied, and the results are interpreted. Fifth, The results of the two surveys are compared. Findings- The findings show both similarities and differences among numerous variables. For instance, holding time is defined as the amount of time an investor holds an investment or as the time between purchasing it and selling it. Investors' risk aversion and financial literacy both influence the holding period. Riskier assets force investors to adjust their purchase or sell actions dynamically. The results show various portfolio diversification behaviours. While men prefer to start with foreign currency investments, women are more interested in making gold investments. Also, middle-aged investors invest more in cryptocurrencies and take more risks than younger investors.
