Synthetic hormones are generally used for rooting in commercial blackberry cultivation and it is important to investigate alternative preparations that can be used in organic farming. This study was carried out in the greenhouse where a mist propagation and suitable conditions for rooting were provided, to investigate the effect of different microbial fertilizers on rooting of boysenberry cuttings. The experiment was established in randomized plots experimental design with 4 replications. In the study, cuttings of boysenberry ( Rubus loganbaccus× Rubus baileyanus Britt) were used as plant material. In the study, control application and 3 different doses of preparations named SimBacil (2%, 4%, 8%), SimDerma (5 g, 10 g, 20 g), OrgaStar (2%, 4%, 8%), obtained from commercial companies were used. Number of leaves, stem diameter and length of the cuttings were recorded weekly, root number, root length and root weight measurements were determined at the end of the experiment. At the end of the study, it was determined that microbial fertilizers had a significant effect on the rooting of blackberry cuttings compared to control application. As a result, the highest average root length determined in 8% SimBacil (19.47 cm), root weight was determined in 4% OrgaStar (18.42 g) and root number was determined in 20 g SimDerma (16.00 number/plant) application. Royal jelly is very rich in nutritional value. It contains a wide variety of enzymes, peptides and amino acids. There are short-chain hydroxy fatty acids found in royal jelly but not found in other foods, which are claimed to have anti-tumor, anti-bacterial, and immune regulatory activity. Trans-10-hydroxy- 2-decanoic acid (10-HDA) is the major fatty acid in royal jelly and its amount in royal jelly is an important indicator. In this study, 10-HDA, in royal jelly samples collected in different years, were determined by using HPLC-UV. The moisture content of royal jelly samples was determined gravimetrically. It was found that the amount of 10-HDA varied between 2.1 and 2.6% on average per year. Arıtılan atık sular neticesinde ortaya çıkan arıtma çamuru miktarları da artış göstermektedir. Türkiye’de günlük kuru madde olarak üretilen arıtma çamuru miktarı ortalama 1000 ton civarında olup bertarafında sorunlar yaşanmaktadır. Arıtma çamurları önemli miktarlarda organik madde ve bitki beslenmesi için gerekli makro ve mikro elementler içerdiklerinden dolayı toprak ıslah materyali veya organik gübre olarak değerlendirilebilecek potansiyele sahiptir. Arıtma çamurunun ekosisteme güvenli bir şekilde geri kazandırılabilmesi için olumlu yönlerini güçlendiren yenilikçi çözümlere ihtiyaç olduğu düşüncesinden yola çıkılarak bu çalışma planlanmıştır. Araştırmanın temel amacı; arıtma çamurunu direkt toprağa uygulamak yerine arıtma çamurundan üretilen humik asidi uygulayarak kullanımını güvenli hale getirmeye çalışmaktır. Bu amaçla, stabilize edilmiş ve kurutulmuş evsel arıtma çamurundan alkali/asit ekstraksiyonu ile elde edilen humik asitin toprağa uygulanması ile çim yetiştirilerek saksı denemesi yürütülmüştür. Humik asit uygulamaları 4 tekerrürlü olarak 0, 50. 100, 150, 200 kg da toprak düzeylerinde yapılmıştır. Çim bitkilerinin boy, yaş ağırlık, kuru ağırlık, SPAD klorofil metre okumaları, toplam klorofil analiz değerleri kontrole göre artış göstermiş ancak sadece SPAD değerleri istatistiksel olarak önemli bulunmuştur. Yalova İncisi, Kabarcık and Kirkit grape cultivars were investigated for date of phenological stages and fruit characteristics. Yalova İncisi was the earliest matured cultivar. The shortest period of time from bud-burst to maturing was observed in Yalova Incisi (138 days). Bud-burst happened at the end of April and flowering was observed in mid-June. Clusters of Yalova Incisi were harvested at 18.8% brix and 0.52% acidity on September 5. Kirkit matured in early October at 22.8% brix and 0.67% acidity with maturity index was 34.03. However, Kabarcık was not fully matured at this date and maturity index was measured as 14.24. Because of the occurrence of early frosts in autumn, Kabarcık had to be harvested earlier on the beginning of October. The largest clusters were found in Kabarcık (583.99 g) and the largest berries in Yalova Incisi (4.85 g). In terms of berry firmness, Kirkit (2.91 N) was found to be stronger than the others, and berry detachment force of the berries were found to be strongest in the Kabarcık (1.88 N). The highest number of seeds per berry was measured in Kabarcık (3.2 piece berry -1 ). Yalova Incisi and Kirkit cultivars were suitable for the region but cultivation of the Kabarcık variety was risky due to early frosts in autumn.
