Although this was adopted by tasawwuf, Islamic mysticism, since classical times, the most profound researches about the relationship between the two domains are rather recent. The present paper aims to interpret a story of Mavlānā Yalāl ad-Dīn Rūmī ‘s Masnavi in the light of the Sufi idea of the adab, to explore the possible link between the notions of the inner-esoteric (batin), and the outer-exoteric (zahir), and the behavioral etiquette of the adab in its classic sense.","PeriodicalId":149026,"journal":{"name":"Interpretatio. The analysis is centered on the poem “Act followed”, which is part of the book Screaming is a Dumb’s thing (1974), in which the topics of nothingness and faith are identified in the Biblical Apocalypse, linked from Hernández’s reinterpretation of the film The Seventh Seal (1957), by Ingmar Bergman. I study the meaning of these topics and the way in which the writer adopts them in his poetics.","PeriodicalId":149026,"journal":{"name":"Interpretatio. In this sense, if we are able to follow an approach to education as a language issue, we could then consider educational problems from new perspectives, e.g., the ways of thinking “education” in different languages. This text was inspired by the approach of Syrian-French linguist Émile Benveniste to different languages, and by the consequences of his discussion with Jacques Derrida. In this way, other possibilities to think “education” open up, from different languages, from different cultures, from different latitudes and traditions. We will go through the argument posed by the Syrian linguist and his responses to Derrida’s critiques in order to be able to think education or to educate as words.","PeriodicalId":149026,"journal":{"name":"Interpretatio. The interview was published on the magazine’s YouTube page in 2015. To make a hermeneutic commentary on Dr. Green’s thought, I will begin by contextualizing this pedagogical proposal within the context of what the emergence of indigenous artists, writers, academics, and thinkers who think about modernity from ancestral knowledge means for the academic field. Then, I will quote from the mentioned interview to relate his thinking to other pedagogical conceptions of Dr. Green and to reflections by other authors that allow us to outline what we could call an “indigenous research paradigm” and a “Pedagogy of Mother Earth”. These proposals, far from being limited to the ethnic boundaries of indigenous peoples, contain an alternative message to the hegemonic one, that needs to be heard by the whole humanity.","PeriodicalId":149026,"journal":{"name":"Interpretatio. This article proposes translation to be the best paradigm for human sciences, exportable to other fields of politics and society. As a know-how with differences, translation provides an articulation between the one and the universal, on the one hand, and diversity or singularities, on the other. Translation helps to think anew the nature-culture relationship, far from any rootedness or nationalism, and it practices a consistent relativism. To this end, we start from Barbara Cassin’s perspective on languages and tongues as untranslatables, understood as those words that can never stop to be translated. A breakdown of some of the elements that Watsuji mentions, from Europe to Asia, is necessary. This will allow us to think on the educational aspects that can be decantated from this ethical proposal. In this sense, we must continue with the dialogue between Europe and Asia thinkers and traditions. How can we think on education from other knowledge traditions? Even though our purpose does not lie in making or finding an equivalence, the oscillation between terms and definitions is what, at the end, will lead us towards a reflection on education, which could be defined as all the aspects that make us humans. Rinrigaku talks about how we are linked: the human being is all and one, at the same time. If we are individuals and simultaneously, we are the community, how do we learn to be so? The biggest commitment of human beings does not lie in the relationships that we establish, but in how we establish them: through the sincerity of the spirit. Watsuji and Japanese Philosophy invite us to think on education from another point of view, to question all the aspects that we have thought that ought to make a human being and to look at oneself (at us) the way we (one) is.","PeriodicalId":149026,"journal":{"name":"Interpretatio. His epistemological position will be particularly analyzed, which is regarded as an alternative to the current positivist and postmodern lines of though. The study and research of Politic Science is obstructed due to univocity and equivocity of the prevailing currents, which prevent the development and interpretive understanding of the reality of this discipline. Translation as a mediation is understood as an understanding appropriation, since it is not a mere passage from one language to another, but a task carried out by the translator where his or her understanding is already involved. This is relevant because it allows to raise questions for those texts that are part of traditions of thought distant geographically, temporarily, and even intellectually from ours but thanks to translations, they have influenced it or even given it particularities, as in the case of Pedagogy.","PeriodicalId":149026,"journal":{"name":"Interpretatio.
