The simulation of the mesh is based on Transmission Line Method (TLM). The output of the simulation is the sum of induced and conducted currents caused by such high-frequency overvoltage input in some spot of the mesh. The rotor field is calculated from an equivalent fictitious magnetic charge sheet formula. The rotor field's effect on the guideway is accounted for by incorporating the field terms into the guideway boundary conditions. The output equation has two terms which are magnetic torque and reluctance torque. The magnetic torque is related to the electric-and magnetic-loading but reluctance torque is related to one more variable which is the difference of the d-and q-axis inductance. Therefore it is very important to calculate or estimate the d- and q-axis inductance in the design procedure. In this paper, we proposed the inductance calculation method by relative permeance. Gyroelectric medium is assumed to be bounded by isotropic media in the upper and lower sides. Transmission and reflection coefficients for the two-layered medium used in the DGFs are expressed in terms of half space transmission and reflection coefficients using the matrix method with the application of boundary conditions. This drastically reduced the complexity of the problem for the two-layered structure. Based on analysis of equivalent circuit, the efficiency and optimal transmission distance are obtained, and its correctness is verified by experiment. The resonant frequency and electromagnetic field distribution of system are obtained through high frequency finite element simulation, and experimental result is consistent with the simulation. The magnetic suspension is assured by the repulsion between two arrangements of permanent magnets located both on toroidal shaped stator and rotor. The stator magnets are surrounded by a conductive sheet. The presence of eddy currents due to the relative motion between the rotor magnets and the conductive sheet allows overcoming the intrinsic instability of the system.
