Tradition is a habit that has been taught from generation to generation and is still being carried out, one of which is the ro'an (community service) activity that has been carried out in the Al-qomar Wahid Islamic boarding school since it was first established. Ro'an (community service) is an activity that students cannot let go of, because it has become something that must be done and ro'an (community service) itself is an activity concerning cleanliness. If the environment is clean, the students will also feel comfortable regardless of the circumstances. This research uses qualitative research with the type of case studies, the data collection methods used are observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study were data collection, data reduction, data presentation, conclusion and verification. Data validity checks using credibility, transferability, dependability and confirmability. The conclusions of the results of this study are first, that the ro'an (community service) tradition in the Al-qomar Wahid Islamic boarding school is very important, in order to form the social character of the students. Second, the character of students at the Al-qomar Wahid Islamic boarding school before carrying out ro'an (community service) activities is still individualistic, but the social character is awakened when the students finish doing ro'an (community service) activities which are carried out every week and even every day. with togetherness between friends. This coincides with the ebb and flow of the East-West socio-political world. Seeing such scientific conditions and intellectual positions, Muslim thinkers moved to take a stand. Efforts to formulate Islamic education continue. The goal is to find the right formula on how to broaden the intellectual insight of Muslims while still having a high commitment to Islamic aqidah. One of the Muslim thinkers who concentrated on this effort was al-Syadzili. On the basis of the above phenomena, researchers are interested in studying al-Syadzili's thoughts related to education. \u0000This research is classified as library research, namely, a study that relies on data and information sourced from books or literature. This kind of analysis is useful for understanding the overall concept of the object being studied. In building tarbiyah (educational) values, Sheikh al-Syadzili described them in three concepts, namely through; (a) the concept of Sufism, (b) the concept of tarekat, and (c) the concept of ubudiyah. In al-Syadzili's view, Sufism has the ability for a person to get closer to Allah, the tarekat is a way for someone to achieve the goal of getting closer to Allah (taqarrub ilallah), meanwhile, ubudiyah is a bridge for one's obedience to orders and away from Allah's prohibitions. Moreover, when associated with epistemological aspects that are always dynamic along with the development of approaches, disciplines and methodologies. Therefore, this library research seeks to analyze the epistemological dynamics of Islamic studies that go hand in hand with the struggles of Islam, society, and the challenges facing Muslims in actualizing their teachings. This study reveals the findings that in Islamic studies there are often differences in viewing normative and historical aspects. Both aspects, making Islamic studies seem to still be burdened by romantic and apologist religious missions. So the content of analysis, critical, methodological, historical, empirical, especially in examining religious texts or texts as historical products is less visible, except in certain research environments that are still very limited. As these academic trends became stronger, Islamic studies began to be elaborated with several more varied approaches and methods than ever before, ranging from humanities, theology, social sciences, and regional studies. This approach requires mastery of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary science. In Indonesia itself, there are many students who do not have good attitude or character. The need for this kind of education is so that Indonesian students become students who are superior to the previous ummah. In this point, teachers or ustadz ustadzah is very the main point, because almost all student time is spent in the sekloahnya, This is true since many schools are implementing a full day system, especially for students who are mondok certainly less likely to meet or meet with both parents. In the Qur'an and al-Hadith, Allah has upheld the attitude of character or morality. Therefore we as ummahnya must apply it.
