First, a fuzzy adaptive observer, which can decouple the external disturbances, is proposed to provide the state, actuator fault and sensor fault estimations. Then, on the basis of the estimated information, an actuator fault-tolerant controller is proposed to stabilize the descriptor closed-loop system while attenuating the disturbances by the H technique. The existence conditions of the designed observer and controller are given in terms of linear matrix inequalities, which can be solved easily by some mathematical tools. Finally, a numerical example is provided to validate the effectiveness of the proposed methods.","PeriodicalId":148453,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Fuzzy Theory and Its Applications (iFUZZY)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121708350","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Dempster-Shafer theory and 3-sigma results are integrated into probabilistic fuzzy logic system (PFLS) to address the complex derivation of the secondary probability density function and to eliminate the computational overload. The secondary probability density function based on the center of primary fuzzy membership in PFLS is proposed. Moreover, an improved Chicken Swarm Optimization (CSO) is developed for optimizing the related parameters of DS-PFLS. DT nonlinear systems can be constructed by using the Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model. First, we propose the modified fuzzy static output feedback (MFSOF) controller. The stabilization problem becomes to stabilize a new discrete-time fuzzy descriptor (DTFD) system. Such that, the proposed MFSOF control will stabilize the DT nonlinear systems. Furthermore, model reference fuzzy tracking control (MRFTC) design for the DTFD systems is investigated. The stability conditions can be certificate by using Lyapunov theorem. It combines the bacterial evolutionary algorithm with local search techniques. Based on our test results it can be used for solving efficiently more discrete optimization problems. The algorithm was tested on Traveling Salesman Problem and Traveling Repairman Problem (TRP) benchmark instances found in the literature. In the case of TSP the DBMEA algorithm produced optimal or near-optimal solutions for all tested instances. Although the most efficient TSP solver method, the Helsgaun's Lin-Kernighan heuristic was faster than DBMEA, but in the case of DBMEA the runtime was more predictable than it the case of other methods. In the case of TRP the results are competitive in terms of accuracy and runtimes with the state-of-the art methods. Except two instances our algorithm found the best-known solutions, and for the biggest tested instance it found new best solution. The runtime was on average 30% faster than the most efficient heuristic in the literature.","PeriodicalId":148453,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Fuzzy Theory and Its Applications (iFUZZY)","volume":"35 5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127985007","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Clustering algorithms are mainly used to design a code book (CB) for VQ. In most previous studies to estimate performance of clustering algorithms, learning images to design the CB for VQ were the same as the test images to examine their performances. However, it is necessary to encode/decode unseen images for practical usage of VQ. The performance of the clustering algorithms therefore has to be estimated under the condition that learning images are different from test images. This comparative study is indispensable to examine effectiveness of clustering algorithms for practical usage of VQ. We selected mainly used four clustering algorithms and estimated performance of these algorithms to design a CB for practical usage. A set of computational experiments showed that there was marginal difference in the performance of clustering algorithms.","PeriodicalId":148453,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Fuzzy Theory and Its Applications (iFUZZY)","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116963451","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In general, most of researches ignored the context of energy internet and few of them involved demand side resources and demand side response. This study investigates determining the capacity of a hybrid energy generation system (HEGS) in the MG via an enhanced particle swarm optimization algorithm combined with quorum sensing (QS-PSO). With the incorporation of direct load control (DLC) by considering the demand response, an integrated resource planning model with various physical, technical, and operational constraints for optimally planning the HEGS is established to minimize the total cost of the MG system design. To deal with this complex optimization problem with high-dimension variables, the QS-PSO algorithm whose competitiveness has been verified in our previous work is successively applied. Numerical simulations are given to demonstrate the QS-PSO algorithm for efficiently identifying the optimal solution to the capacity determination of the HEGS, and the proposed methodology with the introduction of DLC is helpful for reducing the peak power as well as effectively decreasing the total planning cost of the MG system.","PeriodicalId":148453,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Fuzzy Theory and Its Applications (iFUZZY)","volume":"74 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122849751","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
