One of the most well-known strategies that are essential in solving the privacy and security issues is access control and authentication. These techniques can stop malicious nodes from joining the network. However, because to the complexity of their encryption, they place an unsustainable computational burden on the energy-constrained sensor nodes. To ensure an efficient data access, this paper proposes a simple and effective authentication and access control mechanism called as Hierarchical Authentication Assisted Clustered Routing (HA2CR). Initially, HA2CR clusters the entire network into different clusters and then applies authentication at two stages; one is between Base Station and Cluster Head and another is between Cluster head and Cluster Member. The Second level authentication is a mutual authentication and allows both clustered and cluster member to check the authenticity of each of them. Simulation experiments with different scenarios show the performance effectiveness of HA2CR in the adversary identification and qualitative data delivery at base station. The average Malicious Detection Rate (MDR) and Packet Loss Rate (PLR) of proposed access control mechanisms observed as 92.4200%, and 6.1666 respectively. From the results the effectiveness of proposed method had proven in terms of larger MDR and lower PLR.","PeriodicalId":14832,"journal":{"name":"J. Comput. Mediat. Most of these devices don't meet all criterias in one go. To enhance the criteria matching, in this work, two dual-band filters have been designed. The first one uses a SIW multi-mode resonator, two of which are magnetically coupled to form a dual-band filter. To achieve miniaturization, the full-mode multi-mode resonator is cut into two using the diagonal symmetry line. This results in a Half-Mode Substrate Integrated Waveguide (HMSIW) resonator used in the dualband second-order filter design. Using this HMSIW, a size reduction of 50% was achieved while operating at the same frequencies as in the full mode structure. This aids to reduce the size of microwave devices and increase in selectivity. Rogers substrate with a permittivity of 2.2 has been used to design the filter. Center frequencies of operation are 9.5 GHz and 13.8 GHz for the first and second pass-bands, respectively. The insertion loss recorded was 1 dB and 3 dB for the first and second pass-band, respectively.","PeriodicalId":14832,"journal":{"name":"J. Comput. Mediat. To get the maximum benefit from this technology, it’s important to study all the challenges of using mm-wave for 5G and beyond. One of the most important impacts is weather conditions such as humidity, temperature, dust, and sand storms. This study investigates the parameters of the channel model and its statistical behavior with the effect of dust and sand storms. The latter effects can be considered the main challenges these days, especially in middle-eastern countries. A 128 x 128 massive MIMO with URA (uniformly spaced rectangular antenna arrays) uniformly spaced has been considered in the simulation assessment with mm-wave channels operating at 28 GHz and 73GHz are examined by using NYUSIM (New York University Wireless Simulator) software. The simulation results show that the dust increases the attenuation and the path loss when working at higher frequencies compared to the clear weather conditions. Moreover, their effect can be reduced by adapting the transmitted power.","PeriodicalId":14832,"journal":{"name":"J. Comput. Mediat. The energy is expressed in the UAV and SAR power consumption, whereas signal integrity is expressed in Bit-Error Rate (BER). Low-end, mid-end, and highend—categorized in terms of their market cost—commercial UAVs and SAR modules were considered. The energy relations are based on the UAV flight path and power ratings. The signal processing and decomposition of the reconstructed objects for the model simulations are based on a transmit channel-receive chain of 16-quadrature-amplitude, low-density parity check, Rayleigh response, and single-antenna directivity done through Nvidia Sionna. The results indicate that far-reaching flight spatial path scanning is achieved with high-end UAVs and low-cost SARs, but the accuracy is relatively low. Higher accuracy is achieved with low-end UAVs with high-cost SARs. Further, the results point out that selecting UAV-SAR is critical in terms of energy and accuracy for a specific target application. The outcomes show tradeoffs in the selection design.","PeriodicalId":14832,"journal":{"name":"J. Comput. Mediat. Firstly, a modified subcarrier selection technique that can be employed to transmit one or more M-ary Phase-Shift Keying (MPSK) or M-ary Quadrature Amplitude Modulated (MQAM) symbols within a subset of the subcarriers of an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing symbol. The proposed subcarrier selection technique employs the cyclic rotation of a set of subcarriers, chosen from a group of subcarriers to transmit the selected MPSK or MQAM symbols. A second scheme that employs the rotation of MPSK or MQAM symbols among a group of subcarriers, to increase the data rate of the PLC system is proposed. The proposed schemes show improvement in error performance when tested over Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) and impulse noise of a PLC system despite the increase in the data rate.","PeriodicalId":14832,"journal":{"name":"J. It helps to take effective handoff decision based on Received Signal Strength (RSS), traffic intensity, speed and diversity. In this paper the fuzzy logic prediction model has been developed for handoff decisions. On retrieving the network, the RSS was developed to form a time series data over a period of time. The data is then proceeded with the newly proposed fuzzy logic prediction model for estimation and prediction coefficients, while the predicted values of RSS are organized as fuzzy sets and in conjunction with other measured parameters of network. Moreover, the Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI), traffic load in the network, channel capacity, network load (NL), Bit Error Rate (BER), received signal power level has been estimated throughput the Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR), In addition, to user preferences such as the security and cost of the network. The overall performance of proposed fuzzy logic prediction model is capable to predict the handover decision ahead then the available RSS method and other handover necessity estimation techniques. This model also reduces the ping-pong effect associated with other techniques of handover.","PeriodicalId":14832,"journal":{"name":"J. Comput. Mediat. However, they are vulnerable to eavesdropping attacks due to their low computational processing capacity. Thus, physical layer security (PLS) appears as an interesting alternative essential for their proper operation. In this work, the secrecy performance of power-domain non-orthogonal-multiple-access (NOMA) systems affected by imperfect successive interference cancellation (SIC) is evaluated in a scenario consisting of two users operating over κ−μ fading channels. By considering that the user furthest from the base station (BS) is an untrusted user, expressions to calculate the signal-to-noise-plus-interference ratio (SNIR) of both users are derived, and with these results, an expression to evaluate the secrecy-outage-probability (SOP) for the trusted user is derived. Numerical results using Monte-Carlo simulations are carried out in some scenarios to validate the derived expressions. The results also evidence a simple strategy to minimize the SOP for the trusted user based on the κ and μ fading parameters.","PeriodicalId":14832,"journal":{"name":"J. Comput. Mediat.
