The organized study utilized a descriptive and cross-sectional survey research design with a positivism philosophy. A sample of 382 participants out of 108,825 target population was chosen employing a table developed by Morgan & Krejcie (1970). Facts were gathered utilizing a questionnaire, simple random sampling and examined applying Descriptive Statistics and Structural Equation Modeling using the Smart Partial Least Squares (SPLS) Version 3.3.3 software to test the hypotheses. The inquiry study findings came up with a significant correlation between customer experience dimensions (comfort, security and usability) and e- government success at significant level of 0.05. It was thus concluded that the customer experience dimensions significantly affect e- government success. The logical investigation study recommended that the UAE government should augment the budget for e-government successful implementation programs.","PeriodicalId":147948,"journal":{"name":"Global Advances in Business Studies","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125229228","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Data was collected using secondary data and library research. The population used in this study comprised all construction sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2013–2020. In determining the sample, this research applied the purposive sampling method. This study used a sample of 10 construction sub-sector companies and managed and analyzed a total of 80 observational data using E-views software. The results indicate that liquidity has no significant effect on capital structure as measured by LTDAR. However, liquidity had a significant negative effect on capital structure as measured using DAR, DER, STDAR, LTDER, and STDER. The results support the pecking order theory, which states that liquidity and capital structure have a negative relationship.","PeriodicalId":147948,"journal":{"name":"Global Advances in Business Studies","volume":"480 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132097534","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Despite HIS long implementation in the public hospitals in the UAE, little is known about the quality aspects of HIS on patients. Accordingly, this study addresses this gap and assesses the effect of system quality, service quality, and information quality of HIS on patients’ satisfaction. This study adopted a quantitative approach. The sample consists of 500 patients at public hospitals in Al-Sharjah city. Respondents were selected using a systematic sampling technique. Data were collected using the questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling. The results reveal that the quality attributes of HIS i.e. system quality, service quality, and information quality, have a significant effect on patients’ satisfaction. Notably, these attributes are important measures of the success of every information system. Hence, HIS should be carefully designed to ensure these measures are well delivered for the users of these systems as well as hospital staff.","PeriodicalId":147948,"journal":{"name":"Global Advances in Business Studies","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125054546","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The objective of this study was to conduct an exploratory research to examine if Instagram influencers have any impact on brand awareness. The study employed the use of focus groups and online questionnaires to gather primary data about the users’ motivations behind following such influencers. Multiple regression techniques were used to calculate the significance of the independent variables of the study. It was found that followers were more likely to have a negative opinion of influencers, as compared to a positive opinion. Despite this, it was also found that they continue to follow them on Instagram due to the three main themes that were identified: an attractive influencer, a high number of followers, and nicely taken pictures. In addition, it was observed that the brand awareness that followers receive through an Instagram influencer’s post, does not make any significant impact on the purchase intention of that product.","PeriodicalId":147948,"journal":{"name":"Global Advances in Business Studies","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134523869","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The independent variables are foreign ownership, insider ownership, board independence, board intensity, and board size; the dependent variables are dividend policy measured with dividend payout ratio (DPR), dividend yield (DY), and dividends to total assets (DTA). Six control variables were also considered: leverage, volatility (risk), asset tangibility, age, sales growth, and profitability based on annual data and reports from non-financial registered companies listed on the Kompas 100 Period Stocks Index from 2015–2018 (180 observations). Purposive sampling with balanced panel data was used. The model used in this research is a data panel with a fixed-effect model; random effect model approaches were also utilized. The results show that foreign ownership, insider ownership, board independence, board intensity, and board size do not significantly affect dividend policy, except board intensity significantly affects dividend payout ratio.","PeriodicalId":147948,"journal":{"name":"Global Advances in Business Studies","volume":"198 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116385920","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper reviews peer-reviewed empirical studies on Chief Executive Officers, and extends the empirical arguments to Generalist and Specialist Chief Executive Officers explicitly, and in the process conceptualizes three schools of thought: Technical, Managerial and Intrapreneurial. These empirical arguments have been contrasted with dependent, independent, moderating and mediating variables from the leadership literature. Additionally, the empirical studies have been matched with two broad and three narrow leadership domains, to provide insight for further research in the area of corporate leadership. This paper indicates that Generalist Chief Executive Officers and Specialist Chief Executive Officers have different standpoints for different reasons.","PeriodicalId":147948,"journal":{"name":"Global Advances in Business Studies","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125467367","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
