The results of this study indicate that profit affect financial distress as evidenced by the results of the t-test which shows that the significance value is 0.000 < 0.05. Cash flow also affects financial distress. This can be seen from the test results which show that the significance value is 0.021 < 0.05. The results of the F test show that profit and cash flow have a simultaneous effect on financial distress. This can be seen from the significance value of 0.000 <0.05 with a coefficient of determination of 0.929 meaning that financial distress as the dependent variable is influenced by profit and cash flow as independent variables of 92.9% and 7.1% is influenced by other variables.","PeriodicalId":147948,"journal":{"name":"Global Advances in Business Studies","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135342749","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This includes building trust with the company, increasing empathy, creating loyalty programs, ensuring sufficient measures to combat customer dissatisfaction and being open to feedback from the customers. The article is based on primary and secondary research conducted by the author wherein journal articles, research papers and financial newsletters were consulted to conclude. The paper also focuses on how the tourism industry of the United Arab Emirates largely affects customer retention in the country. From the research conducted, it can be claimed that no one technique of customer retention is fully applicable in the country due to the unique circumstances under which it runs its businesses. Lecturers, on the other hand, were found to be uninterested in using WhatsApp for educational management. The majority of WhatsApp research has focused on students in the context of learning, while this study will focus on educational management among public university lecturers. Before conducting more in-depth research, the goal of this study is to describe the pilot testing method for the proposed model. A pilot study was done to assess the survey questionnaire's applicability and reliability. The data was gathered from 100 Malaysian public university lecturers via an online survey. Before beginning the actual study, the researcher discusses the pilot testing process and methodology that will contribute to the research in this context. The Unified Theory of Acceptance and Technology Use (UTAUT) model has been applied to the proposed new model. The results of the pilot study agreed that Cronbach's alpha ranged from 0.829 to 0.900 for most of the constructs in the proposed model, indicating that they were reliable. As a result, the constructs in the questionnaire are suitable for larger-scale research in the future. The findings of this study are beneficial to the Ministry of Higher Education in determining the reasons for lecturers' use of WhatsApp, including whether they use it for social purposes, to obtain or share information related to university educational management, or to improve the lecture process.","PeriodicalId":147948,"journal":{"name":"Global Advances in Business Studies","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135951154","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
