The effects of the global pandemic on economic activity in global, national, regional and local aspects are innumerable and difficult to determine. In the epidemic situation, the commercial business continued to operate at the forefront of the challenges of the epidemic restrictions imposed by national and local authorities, but also suffered the serious economic effects of the imposed health measures. One of the adverse effects has been expressed in dismissal of employees in the commercial sector, where certain outlets were forced to cease operations during the most severe emergency measures. This shocking contraction was followed by attempts to restart normal economic activity and restore trade operations under the new conditions. At the same time, the market environment reported the favorable development of electronic distribution channels, which have been able to derive positives from the emerging situation and even to engage additional labor resources.","PeriodicalId":147865,"journal":{"name":"Izvestia Journal of the Union of Scientists - Varna. Almost unnoticed, technology and artificial intelligence have replaced humans in certain spheres. The question is whether their replacement is positive for the tourism supply or it is not even close. This is especially important for the boutique hotels offering innovative accommodation concept and personalized high-quality tourist product. The aim of the current study is to prove that boutique hotels need both automated processes and human touch and to outline the limits of the right balance how to emphasize that symbiose in order to benefit of greater loyalty and ongoing revenues.","PeriodicalId":147865,"journal":{"name":"Izvestia Journal of the Union of Scientists - Varna. In some countries, there are women who still suffer some forms of direct or indirect discrimination. Overcoming these problems was set back in 2000 in the United Nations Millennium Development Goals. Now the global citizenship is seeking for alternative ways to improve the socio-economic state of the womanhood. A tool for minimizing the negative aspects of young women’s life can be considered the international tourism. It empowers the social group in two ways: psychologically and economically. The aim of the current study is to discuss the multifunctional role of tourism in the process of female gender identity protection. Furthermore, the research sets up some challenges for the global tourism facing the new role of women on the world stage.","PeriodicalId":147865,"journal":{"name":"Izvestia Journal of the Union of Scientists - Varna. Different linear-fractional models for production-transportation planning are applied as well. In the present paper the authors aim to combine elements of the three-index transportation problem and elements of the linear-fractional optimization, thus offering a model of three-index transportation problem with a linear-fractional function which combines the advantages of both methods and gives better opportunities for determining an optimal solution and making the post-optimal analysis.","PeriodicalId":147865,"journal":{"name":"Izvestia Journal of the Union of Scientists - Varna. In the absence of conflicts of interest and the importance of the established reputation for the rating agencies, self-regulation is sufficient to guarantee high-accuracy ratings. The payment for ratings by issuers and their use in financial regulations create distorted incentives to pursue higher profits at the expense of the quality of ratings. The demonstrated failures of the rating agencies confirm the need for strict regulations to restore investor confidence in the ratings.","PeriodicalId":147865,"journal":{"name":"Izvestia Journal of the Union of Scientists - Varna. The presence of a high level of indebtedness and sharp increases in its values are considered by experts as an indicator of an impending financial crisis and recession. The study of the dynamics and trends in household debt liabilities changes could answer many questions related to households’ financial stability and the measures that regulators should take. This research issue is particularly relevant in the current economic crisis caused by the global Covid-19 pandemic. The analysis of the structural and value dimensions of household indebtedness provides the necessary basis for studying the financial sustainability of households, with which they enter this challenging period.","PeriodicalId":147865,"journal":{"name":"Izvestia Journal of the Union of Scientists - Varna.
