It equips an engineer to contribute to the sustainable technical development of the contemporary world with globalized challenges. Hence, it is imperative to train the students of engineering in engineering creativity and technical innovation. However, the constraints of a conventional curriculum, which lay excessive emphasis on formal instruction, often leave little room for training in engineering creativity. Additionally, the time pressure exerted by the conventional curriculum on students, adversely affects the learning environment and the ecosystem suitable for creativity and innovation. The concept of “Hour of Creativity” developed at Rajagiri School of Engineering & Technology is meant to overcome these hurdles. An hour per week is chalked out from the academic schedule of the students, exclusively for creative and critical thinking and to foster discovery and innovation. The events and programs of the “Hour of Creativity” are so designed that they directly contribute to nurturing creative mind and innovative spirit of the students. This study proposes to understand the motivation of these students in the use of robots in the Project Area curricular unit and whether they want to continue their studies in technology areas. K-12 students participated in the RoboParty® event, where the main task is to assemble and program a robot. In other words, the students, in a simple and entertaining way and supported by qualified tutors, learned how to build a robot. At the end of the academic year, a questionnaire was applied to identify and evaluate the K-12 students' opinions regarding the experience. Depending on the constraints of the e-learning organization, the best suited one should be selected. This decision is a difficult one, due to the diversity of available platforms. The main goal of this paper is to propose a new method for multiple criteria classification of these software systems, based upon Formal Concept Analysis, namely using conceptual lattices. By means of classification, the paper offers a comprehensive analysis of the features provided by several widely used open-source e-learning platforms. Due to the fact that pupils are experimenting independently, their natural interest in research can be reactivated due to improved intrinsic motivation. However, with the increasing density in school curricula - in Germany especially caused by the reduction of the high school duration by one year - many teachers do not find the time to visit science labs due to their often extracurricular topics. For our lab SinnTec, which is focused on sensors as the “technical senses”, and the experimentation platform VenDASys we are currently adapting existing experiments and examples for improved compatibility with the regular school curricula primarily in Physics. The knowledge of future technologies will allow us to adapt to change with time, anticipate its implementation and thus be able to work with them; we must not forget that future generations will be born with new technologies. This paper raises a number of developments, which for one reason or another are causing a change in our notion of the world and will raise the potential of these new resources to the educational environment. Having more information and more possibilities to access to it, has not any direct implications about the learning and acquisition of knowledge and in fact, they cause a change in the roles of the actual teaching, which they will be advertised and justified. These technologies are distributed by their functionality in five big groups will be the beginning of an analysis of their evolution and they will take part in the new teaching paradigms. At this moment, mobile computing, new interfaces and new environments, intelligent objects as well as new web with semantic applications and social network, open source…etc., are the basis of the new technologies, which in the near future perhaps return to revolutionize what we consider an event.
