Grain Moisture Detection by Using A-Scan Radar Measurement 用a扫描雷达测量谷物水分

A sensible and accurate detection of the moisture content in stored grain is of great significance. In order to detect the grain moisture content non-destructively, the ability of the electromagnetic (EM) wave propagating through the grain can be exploited. While the conventional methods such as capacitive, gravimetric methods are suitable for measuring of moisture of small samples, the EM-based method is more suitable to measure grain moisture of larger samples. In this paper, the wheat moisture ratio is determined by means of A-Scan radar measurement. The radar backscattering signal belongs to air and wheat filled bin are obtained using vector network analyser(VNA) between 1 to 6 GHz for a total of 75 discrete points. The range gating process covering the same interval is performed to both (air and grain measurements) range profiles obtained by taking inverse Fourier transform (IFT) of the A-scan data. Then, the dielectric constant of the wheat is determined using phase information of A-scan data and the grain moisture content is calculated using the dielectric constants of grain, dried grain and water. The scalar three-dimensional acoustic problem is reduced to a two-dimensional one. Connection between the field on the boundary and far field asymptotic is used for modeling a set of the scattering patterns. Resonant frequencies are defined as the frequencies at which the orthogonal complement function exists. Such a function generates the Herglotz wave function, one of whose zero lines is the boundary contour. The mathematical model is developed based on the boundary hyper-singular integral equation which should be understood in the sense of Hadamard’s finite part. Discretization of the derived integral equation is carried out by the Nystrom-type method, which has a rigorously guaranteed convergence. The functions of the crack-opening-displacement are set in a time-harmonic law. The problem of determination of the wave displacement field is solved by the boundary integral equation method (BIEM). The solutions are selected in the form of Helmholtz potentials. The integral representation of the displacements on the body surface is obtained. Presented first part contains the simulation of such antenna using the software which based on Finite Element Method for the purpose to fined optimal parameters of such antenna before its construction. Using numerical experiment we suppose to determine best parameters of antenna, to achieve desired radiation parameters: well matched to the open space; circular polarization of radiated field; narrow-beam; wide-ban. It was designed 2.49 GHz and 2.4 GHz circular polarization radiation patch antennas, which was archived by cutting edges from square patch antenna.
