Design/methodology/approach : The barriers of social activity experienced by elderly people 8 as well as its amenities are presented in the order of the SWOT-like analysis. The main issue 9 has been discussed within the scope of gerontology. Psycho-social and sociological theories has 10 been applied to distinguish two levels of potential factors of social activities of senior citizens: 11 individual level and the level of society. Findings: As a result of discussion in the summary author the role and the connection of theory and research in the practice of providing the opportunities for social activities of senior citizens. 14 The special role belongs to action research which directly lies in between science and practice, the surveys which provide knowledge about scale of the problems and forms of activity of 16 elderly people whereas longitudinal studies indicate the changes in attitudes and the modes of 17 activity in the life course of aging individuals. Originality/value: The paper combines and puts in order the scientific arguments concerning chances and factors hindering social activity of senior citizens. It is addressed to sociologists, social workers and some other specialists in the scope of social sciences and practical professions dealing with the issues of elderly people. Profiling is focused on the 9 quality of the SEO (search engine optimization) audit and the conclusions that flow from it, 10 and its goal is to increase the effectiveness of the review. The primary purpose of the work was 11 to assess the accuracy of the characteristics prepared in this way. 12 Design/methodology/approach: Four websites related to the hotel industry have been profiled 13 and compiled in pairs, whose addresses were obtained from an Internet search engine. The tests 14 were performed using selected testing tools. 15 Findings: It has been shown that based on an analysis of SEO attributes, one can create 16 a technological profile of a site without browsing it first, and the relevance of profiling is 17 determined by two factors: the auditor’s experience and audit scope, including the quality and 18 number of testing tools used. 19 Practical implications: The idea of profiling involves looking at a website only through the 20 prism of an SEO audit, which changes the perspective and forces a more in-depth analysis of 21 SEO tests. This can contribute to better use of information obtained during an inspection. 22 Profiling is often treated as an activity supplementing an SEO audit in the case of a lack of 23 access to testing tools when the test results are incomplete, insufficient, or inaccessible. 24 Originality/value: By analyzing SEO attributes, one can create a technology profile and 25 a specific site characteristic without browsing it first.
