It is a Web-based shared environment where students and instructors can participate in exchanging information in real time effectively. Similar systems in the form of whiteboards exist today but are quite different from SoftBoard. A SoftBoard system can be invoked by users equipped with a standard browser and Internet connection. A light pen can also be used with SoftBoard to provide a convenient way for creating non-textual contents freehand. Several experiments using different computer labs were conducted. However, we show that, if the watermarking algorithm is based on the watermark detection method, then significant gains can be achieved. With a watermark detector based on a sequential hypothesis test rather than a fixed sample size test, the number of watermark pixels can be reduced almost by a factor of two for small detection error probabilities. This is because, the sequential hypothesis test requires less (average) number of pixels to detect the presence/absence of a watermark compared to a fixed sample size detector. The savings in the number of pixels to be watermarked results in an increased immunity to host signal attacks such as cropping. Degradation in the signal quality due to redundant watermarking is also minimized. Further, applications such as DVD require minimal amount of watermarking. The computational efficiency of the proposed watermark detector can also be exploited to efficiently search for watermarks in large image databases.","PeriodicalId":146581,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings International Conference on Information Technology: Coding and Computing (Cat. This has been shown to be highly effective to the system designer from the perspectives of maintainability and upgradability. Basically due to the flat structure and the lack of holding multidimensional data, the relational model does not provide a structural approach to the system designer. The alternative object oriented model offers the structured approach but also is not able to describe various intermodular relationships spread over the same or different levels within a data model. The graph data model allows dynamic regrouping of related entities at the designers' level. We have proposed an appropriate data structure and the corresponding DDL has been developed. A statistic approach for embedding and extracting a digital watermark on an image is proposed. This approach is based on the realization that a stego-image after watermark attacks should preserve the characteristics of the stego-image if the stego-image after attacks retains its commercial values. In other words, the appearance of the image after attacks is still clearly visible and similar to the original image. This kind of preservation can be reflected as the variances of color levels of pixels both in stego-without-attacks- and stego-with-attacks-images are most likely the same. This is achieved by using eXtensible Markup Language (XML) for the communication medium. The conferees share the same data or a subset of that data represented in XML, but they may see it displayed in different ways as needed or desired. That fact coupled with the strong trends to industrial standardization of graphics API, such as OpenGL, leads to enhanced portability for imaging and graphics applications. The progress on the hardware support of API functionality gives a real possibility to use a top-down approach in the design of custom graphics/imaging systems based on the mixed hardware/software implementation of the OpenGL architecture. Software simulation is a relatively cheap and fast way for initial graphics architecture template development and evaluation to acquire the structure and parameters that can be used later for HDL elaboration and simulation. This paper discusses a 3D graphics and imaging system architecture model implementation based on OpenGL API hardware support simulation. The object-oriented approach has been used for this development of analytic and software models simulating hardware units on different stages of the graphics pipeline. The Interactive Imaging System Architecture Composer has been developed in this project for fast run-time simulation management, data acquisition and interpretation. Literature mainly proposes two different strategies devoted to the acquisition of the user models; that is the implicit acquisition and the explicit acquisition. Both the previously introduced approaches are able to satisfy acquisition needs. In particular, this paper proposes an integrated perspective of the two previously introduced approaches and discusses the balance between implicit and explicit acquisition taking into account the user behaviour. We introduce a method of using OLAP techniques on a text collection: combining text searching and ranking techniques from information retrieval and the slicing, dicing, and drill-down from OLAP. Our approach integrates structured and unstructured data and takes advantage of the data hierarchies found in the structured data. The original image is required for the watermark detection. The \"strength\" of the signature to be embedded depends on the image to be marked, thus fitting signal capacity.
