Since WMNs are typically used as wireless backbones, they have the nature that the wireless communication is not stable. Hence, it is significant to protect them against link or node failures. Distribution of data using multicast in an unreliable network does not guarantee reliable delivery, which is the prime requirement for many important applications. This paper focuses on designing and implementing an effective reliable multicast protocol called HRTMM based on shortest path tree algorithms (SPTs). For first time in this paper, we use CMAC neural network to design and implement an error or disconnection occurrence prediction mechanism in our proposed protocol that it can recover the unreliable nodes/routes before fault or disconnection happens and consequently restore the network to a consistent state with more reliability. We also will discuss a novel hybrid local recovery procedure based on mentioned disconnection prediction method. The HRTMM combines congestion and error control with localized recovery to prevent or recover the different types of losses that may occur in WMNs. Our simulation results show that the HRTMM protocol functions efficiently and reliably for WMNs.","PeriodicalId":145328,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Intelligent Networking and Collaborative Systems","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-11-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125422543","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It uses a combination of techniques to automatically discover the content of the media and, though supervised or unsupervised methods, it can generate a RDF description out of it. However, these systems do not usually provide the personalization features required to adapt the learning experience to the student needs, a drawback that can affect the collaboration objective and ultimately a successful learning. To alleviate this disadvantage we propose an architecture that provides adaptive collaboration support for a CSCL environment framed in an open and standards-based LMS. Our proposal combines adaptation rules defined in IMS Learning Design specification and dynamic support through recommendations via an accessible and adaptive guidance system. The implementation offers CSCL courses following a methodology called Collaborative Logical Framework. This feature may cause problems for higher layers when it unexpectedly exits lower layer in the protocol stack. In this paper, we determine from two algorithms. Firstly, if data is lost at network layer, the sender detects new networks without doing the route discovery. Secondly, if data is dropped at transport layer, we discuss the various retransmission policies such as MFR, TS and MFR plus TS. Moreover, each packet characteristic suffers from ordered or non-ordered processes in SCTP protocol. Multihoming is one option of SCTP protocol that provide the several paths. The obtained results show our algorithm with MFR policy can analysis the drop packets between network layer and transport layer. Furthermore, MFR increases the goodput performance in both ordered and non-ordered messages.","PeriodicalId":145328,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Intelligent Networking and Collaborative Systems","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-11-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116332516","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In last years, this process not involved only the cartographers, but also the common users. Production of map with using adequate software is a simple process now, which is used by non-cartographic users. These users do not know basic cartographic rules for making maps and they make maps intuitively. This situation needs the implementation of principles of cartography directly into the map production systems in pursuit of correct and effective maps producing. Instead of the final map is also important the explanation and the proposing of several possible solutions. According to progress in the artificial intelligence, the knowledge-base systems can be applied for this problem. These systems can partly substitute a role of the expert in this process. The expert systems as a part of artificial intelligence have long history of evolution and they are applying in many parts of cartography, but suitable complex system for creation and adjustment maps still does not exist. In this paper is presented the possible utilization of the expert system in thematic cartography.","PeriodicalId":145328,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Intelligent Networking and Collaborative Systems","volume":"84 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-11-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134098199","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In sensor networks existence of malicious nodes is undeniable. These nodes aggravate congestion problem by diffusing useless packets. In our approach using in-network fuzzy based processing, each node monitors the behavior of its neighbor nodes estimating their related trust. Therefore, malicious nodes will be detected and isolated to reduce congestion rate contributed by relative packets. Results show our proposed scheme increases packet delivery of legitimate nodes up to 27.5% and reduces packet loss ratio up to 40% when 16% of all nodes are inferred as malicious.","PeriodicalId":145328,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Intelligent Networking and Collaborative Systems","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-11-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132959597","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We argue that the difference of the goals, manners and results of the interaction behaviors of normal flows and attack flows, which show different characteristics on IP addresses and ports. IAI (IP Address Interaction Feature) algorithm is proposed based on the addresses interaction, abrupt traffic change, addresses many-to-one dissymmetry, distributed source IP addresses and concentrated target addresses. The IAI is designed to describe the essential characteristics of network flow states. Furthermore, a support vector machine (SVM) classifier, which is trained by IAI time series from normal flow and attack flow, is applied to classify the state of current network flows and identify the DDoS attacks. The experiment results show that, IAI can reflect the different characteristics of DDoS attack flows and normal flows; the IAI-based detection scheme can distinguish between normal flows and abnormal flows with DDoS attack flows effectively, and help to identify fast and accurate attack flows when the attacking traffic is hidden among a relatively large volume of normal flows or close to the attacking sources, and it has higher detection and lower false alarm rate compared with related works.","PeriodicalId":145328,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Intelligent Networking and Collaborative Systems","volume":"49 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-11-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114841290","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is based on service-level agreements made to provide external users with services under request. Cloud computing is still evolving so that new specific negotiation mechanisms among service providers are needed for enabling effective collaboration, allowing the process of serving consumers to be more efficient. This paper presents a negotiation mechanism (mean algorithm and protocol) that allows nodes in a “cloud” to achieve an effective collaboration among service providers by means of a multi-agent architecture. In this multi-agent system, agents are aware of its surroundings by means of a parametrical and flexible use of the information related with this awareness situation.
