Properties serve as objects contributing to the formal description of other objects, for example plant elements. We present a metamodel of property management which is able to close many gaps. It contains all model entities that are required for property modeling, standardization, engineering, procurement and plant operation. The metamodel can be mapped to a matrix which covers type, class and instance objects using unified basic mechanisms. To take care of the difficult requirements to property systems being accessible to heterogeneous domains, we propose a Service-oriented encapsulation of the model.","PeriodicalId":145288,"journal":{"name":"IECON 2010 - 36th Annual Conference on IEEE Industrial Electronics Society","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122586606","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Using the proprietary patented technique, the IC is able of providing a constant output current using primary sensing feedback, thus eliminating the need for the optocoupler, secondary voltage reference and current sensor, still maintaining quite accurate current regulation. The power supply is able to drive up to 4 LEDs in the European range, i.e. 185–265VAC, even if the same configuration can be also used in U.S. range and for a different numbers of LEDs, only limited from the maximum IC power capability. The proposed driver can be suitably used in all the applications where the tight regulation tolerance, efficiency performances and low component count are decisive to meet the LED's market requirements.","PeriodicalId":145288,"journal":{"name":"IECON 2010 - 36th Annual Conference on IEEE Industrial Electronics Society","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122514246","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The core of the digital implementation is a development kit based on the digital signal processor TMS320F2812, where the mathematical models of the controllers, diesel prime mover, coupling shaft and synchronous generator are computed in real-time. The interface with the load is a voltage source inverter. The capacitor voltages of the output filter are controlled to emulate the terminal voltages of the generator. The proposed system is compared in simulation with a diesel generator model from SimPowerSystems Simulink library. Then, a low-power prototype of the virtual diesel generator is implemented. Experimental results are satisfactory, but further work is required in order to increase the power level of the prototype, and also to test the emulator with different models of diesel engines and electrical generators.","PeriodicalId":145288,"journal":{"name":"IECON 2010 - 36th Annual Conference on IEEE Industrial Electronics Society","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117334342","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We employ data obtained by a GPS to reproduce the driver behavior. Gaussian Mixture model (GMM) is used to capture the sequence of driving characteristics according to the reconstructed vehicle's information and it is also used as a classifier to assign the driving behavior to normal or distraction category. In our work, we consider using a low cost 1Hz GPS receiver as the vehicle data acquisition equipment instead of the costly sensors (steering angle sensor, throttle/brake position sensor, etc). The nonlinear extended 2-wheel vehicle dynamic model is adopted in this study. Firstly, two states, i.e. the sideslip angle and the yaw rate are calculated since they are not available from GPS measurements. Secondly, a piecewise optimization scheme is proposed to reconstruct the driving behaviors which include the steering angle and the longitude force. Finally, a GMM classifier is applied to identify whether the driver is under distraction.","PeriodicalId":145288,"journal":{"name":"IECON 2010 - 36th Annual Conference on IEEE Industrial Electronics Society","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129412927","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The choice and influence of the sliding surface regarding the state vector is presented. Usual sliding surfaces chosen to control other high order DC-DC converters are found not to work on the SEPIC. Thus, other surfaces are proposed here and which require the presence of more than one state variable. Also, an extended sliding mode observer is proposed to estimate the state vector. For the problem, we propose a control scheme composed of vision-based trajectory planning and tracking control. We present on-line trajectory planning based on feature-based visual servoing. The key idea is to compensate the target object motion. In particular we focus on visual feature motion without 3D reconstruction in consideration of the odometry error. Tracking control to the generated trajectory can therefore achieve visual target following precisely even if the target object is moving. The effectiveness of the control system is evaluated experimentally.","PeriodicalId":145288,"journal":{"name":"IECON 2010 - 36th Annual Conference on IEEE Industrial Electronics Society","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129046374","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For this reason, the analysis of wind energy conversion systems, in which the occurrence of faults has a high negative impact, becomes a very important issue. Considering this, the aim of this paper is to present some diagnostic methods for open-circuit faults in the two power converters of a permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) drive for wind turbine applications. To achieve this goal, fault analysis is the first step, in order to know which parameters can be used for the diagnosis. The following step is the development of reliable diagnostic methods. Various simulation results, considering multiple faults in the grid-side converter and a single fault in the PMSG-side converter, are presented.","PeriodicalId":145288,"journal":{"name":"IECON 2010 - 36th Annual Conference on IEEE Industrial Electronics Society","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129796599","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The lossy data compression accomplishes to reduce data size of the haptic data. In the lossy data compression, DCT-based techniques are often used. The Integer DCT (IntDCT) achieves the operation of the DCT with the format of integer. The compatibility of the IntDCT with the FPGA is therefore high. The lossy compression method is applied to a bilateral control system and the efficacy is confirmed by experiments.","PeriodicalId":145288,"journal":{"name":"IECON 2010 - 36th Annual Conference on IEEE Industrial Electronics Society","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129923753","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This proposed hysteresis controller retains all advantages of conventional current error space vector based hysteresis controllers like fast dynamic response, simple to implement, adjacent voltage vector switching etc. The additional advantage of this proposed hysteresis controller is that it gives a phase voltage frequency spectrum exactly similar to that of a constant switching frequency space vector pulse width modulated (SVPWM) inverter. In this proposed hysteresis controller the boundary is computed online using estimated stator voltages along alpha and beta axes thus completely eliminating look up tables used for obtaining parabolic hysteresis boundary proposed in [19]. The estimation of stator voltage is carried out using current errors along alpha and beta axes and steady state model of induction motor. The proposed scheme is simple and capable of taking inverter upto six step mode operation, if demanded by drive system. The proposed hysteresis controller based inverter fed drive scheme is simulated extensively using SIMULINK toolbox of MATLAB for steady state and transient performance. The experimental verification for steady state performance of the proposed scheme is carried out on a 3.7kW IM.","PeriodicalId":145288,"journal":{"name":"IECON 2010 - 36th Annual Conference on IEEE Industrial Electronics Society","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120954151","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
