The collected papers date from the period between 2000 and 2018. The sample included both male and female students with different levels of nutrition. The analyzed studies determined the differences and changes in BMI in relation to cardiorespiratory fitness. The studies had a criterion that showed differences in nutritional level and cardiorespiratory fitness and changes in BMI and cardiorespiratory fitness. Research has shown that there are significant differences in the level of nutrition of students and their physical fitness. Students with higher BMI had poorer results on cardiorespiratory fitness tests. With the increase in BMI, the VO 2max values (maximal oxygen consumption values) are reduced. Higher BMI also adversely affects other physiological parameters. Moreover, there is a high correlation between BMI levels and cardiorespiratory endurance. Students included in the systematization, with their lower body composition values, showed better results on cardiorespiratory endurance tests. Increased body mass can lead to poorer results on physical fitness tests.","PeriodicalId":144593,"journal":{"name":"Facta universitatis. Because of the complicity of the disease, a thorough treatment of those patients requires a multidisciplinary approach. One of the important aspects such approach should take into account is the quality of life of PWE. Apart from the pharmacological solutions, it is necessary to further search for non-pharmacological ones. In addition to raising education and level of awareness this means dealing with physical activity due to numerous benefits. Sometimes doctors themselves do not know how to assess risks and benefits, and in order to protect the patients, advise that it is best not to engage in any sport, thereby contributing to the vicious circle - fear - stigma - poor quality of life. The aim of this paper is to unify the experiences of various researchers on this topic, to point out the many difficulties that PWE meet, and to define guidelines in the workplace. We will try to answer a commonly posed question which sometimes in practice remain unclarified, that is - whether epilepsy patients should be involved in sports, if so - which sport, and what intensity of physical activity would be allowed, can they participate in the competitions. In order to provide patients with a decent life quality it is necessary to work on the education of patients and doctors, and the society as well. While giving recommendations, it is necessary to follow the guidelines, among which are the most comprehensive ones were created by the International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE) in 2016.","PeriodicalId":144593,"journal":{"name":"Facta universitatis. The secondary aim of this study was to examine possible differences in these kinematic parameters among the players associated with their playing position. Eighteen male basketball players (7 guards, 8 forwards, 3 centers) from six Serbian senior teams were tested. 94Fifty basketball sensor was used to obtain the following kinematic parameters of jump shot). The highest average measured values of shot release time were found in centres (1.23±0.23 s) and the lowest in guards (1.07±0.28 s), although these differences were not statistically significant. Further, centres had a lower angle of entry (36.6±2.08°) than guards (40.54±4.76°) and forwards (42.05±3.77°). The highest value of backspin was obtained by forwards (130±11.91 rotations / min). There were no significant differences between guards, forwards and centers in any kinematic variables (p>.01). The relationship between the body height and angle of entry was not significant (p>0.05). In conclusion, compared to centers, guards and forwards showed similar results for the examined variables. This evidence seems to support the theory that compared to guards and forwards centres have the weaker shooting techniques. Coaches should encourage all players, especially centers, to shoot from all positions.","PeriodicalId":144593,"journal":{"name":"Facta universitatis. We live in a time of rapid, increasingly dramatic, far more complex and unpredictable changes, which have a significant effect on behavior, business and management in organizations. Such processes are most commonly referred to as “hyperchange”, “hypercompetition”, and “hyperturbulence”. These processes take place in the period which is referred to the terms as “digital revolution”, “information era”, “digital economics”, “internet economics”, “net economics”, “knowledge economy/knowledge society”, “postindustrial society”, “age of discontinuity”, “time of uncertainty”, “third wave”, etc. The responses to the rapid change in the environment in which sports organizations perform their business and have wider social mission, and which are increasingly discontinuous in their character, seek from managers to be transformational leaders. This implies that leaders have the capability to create a vision, mission, policy and strategy and their implementation, achieving a much greater overall value for consumers and large transformational shifts in the short term. In the environment which is more dynamic, unpredictable, or insecure, leadership change has become a more critical aspect of leadership study. Modern leadership concepts focus on the leadership that organizations and individuals need. The idea of a shared leadership, virtual, transformational and one that is based on elements of emotional intelligence, obtains the right of citizenship and becomes the dominant field of research in the field of modern corporate governance.","PeriodicalId":144593,"journal":{"name":"Facta universitatis. The center of the author's interest is an introduction with opinions and behavioral patterns according to differences, based on defined criteria and indicators of measurement. It is pointed out that there is the necessity of taking active roles by all participants of the school community in acquiring new competencies in order to cultivate and respect the principles of differences in classes of physical education. The study offers new experience about utilization of the workshop method, forms, and techniques, as well as the possibilities of raising awareness and behavior change when it comes to discriminatory behavior of pupils through physical culture. This also provides the opportunity for further examination of the workshop method in order to implement it in the teaching of physical education.","PeriodicalId":144593,"journal":{"name":"Facta universitatis. Pregnancy is a special period in the life of every woman. Therefore, you often ask yourself whether it is advisable to exercise during pregnancy, when and how much? This review article, by analyzing the available literature data, has tried to explain what form of physical activity is recommended during pregnancy, depending on the period of pregnancy, under what conditions pregnant women should exercise, what forms of physical activity they should avoid and when they should not to practice it. In addition, we analyzed the role of physical activity in the prevention of gestational diabetes, the most common metabolic disorder that occurs during pregnancy. Following the recommendations of the FITT principle outlined in this paper, controlled exercise conditions with a specialized trainer and nutritionist, regular moderate physical activity adapted to different periods of pregnancy, undoubtedly contributes to the maintenance and improvement of the musculoskeletal and cardiovascular system of the pregnant woman, better control of her body weight and improvement of her psychological state .","PeriodicalId":144593,"journal":{"name":"Facta universitatis. The sports industry today is characterized by modern technology, especially in the sphere of manufacturing sports props and equipment, which significantly helps its development and progress. The sports industry today exists within the social-economic achievements and power of a society. In essence, it should adapt to the new living conditions, work conditions and the conditions in which business is being conducted. Today, it is necessary to invest more in the offer of the sports industry (athletes, results, equipment, equipment, facilities, diagnostics ...), in order to be more efficient in the form of the final product on the market. The industry must adapt to the conditions of the world market (supply and demand). That is why it is sometimes necessary to also expand the range of constituents in order to win a medal – achieve a top sports result. This article will analyze the phenomenon of the modern sports industry as a business model, its production and the realization of the necessary conditions for achieving top sports results and winning medals at big competitions. Naturally, without unity between numerous external and internal factors no top sports results can be achieved. The authors also deal with an analysis of the factors of the sports industry.","PeriodicalId":144593,"journal":{"name":"Facta universitatis. The sample consisted of 30 female volleyball players, aged 14 to 16, divided into two groups – the experimental one (n=15) and the control group (n=15). The experimental group was comprised of the players from the club OK ‘Desetka’, who, apart from the basic technical and tactical training process, underwent a specially designed programme for developing explosive strength two times a week (on Tuesdays and Thursdays). The experimental programme was applied during the period of preparations before the official beginning of the regional competitions for cadets. The control group was comprised of the players from the club OK ‘Millennium’, who, during the same period of time, underwent only those training sessions which had previously been planned within the annual plan and programme of the club. Explosive strength evaluation included four sets of tests: the squat jump (SJ), countermowement jump (CMJ), drop jump (DJ), one-legged CMJ (OLCMJ). The effects of the progremmed training on the development of the explosive strength of the young female volleyball players was determined by the Covariance Analysis, ANCOVA. The results obtained in such a way showed the statistically significant improvement in the parameters tested within the experimental group. The difference was insignificant in the OLCMJ test only. The results point to the conclusion that the experimental training programme had positive effects on the changes of explosive strength of young female volleyball players.","PeriodicalId":144593,"journal":{"name":"Facta universitatis.
