Finding a predefined pattern in a domain-specific model can be requested in MDE. This technique can help in optimizing or refactoring the models or to translate from one language to another one. The goal of the current researching is to create a framework for MDE which can find patterns defined by the users. Performance is a key issue. Using heterogeneous computation system (e.g.: CPU+GPU) is a promising way to increase the performance of the calculation. Therefore, we created a solution based on the OpenCL framework which is one of the most popular heterogeneous platforms. In this paper, the new pattern matching framework and the main steps of its creation are presented. The applied conception consists of two main steps. Firstly, a simpler case study is solved and experiences are collected from the occurring challenges. Secondly, the achieved solution was extended for general pattern matching. In both steps, the core algorithms are implemented according to the test-driven development methodology. To elaborate these steps, a new technique is provided which can be useful in creating any GPU-based model transformation and thus MDE approaches are improved in general.","PeriodicalId":144551,"journal":{"name":"2015 IEEE 13th International Symposium on Intelligent Systems and Informatics (SISY)","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130451995","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The presented research and work in this paper is done in the scope of REDIRNET project. The main motivation in the project is to support the rescuers facing operational problems in accessing and analyzing information from multiple sources, and providing advanced features for command and control of the emergencies. Timely exchange of information between competent authorities, a common understanding of data and a swift transmission of knowledge can save the lives and protect properties. Useful information are often heterogeneous and distributed between many organizations in the diverse information sources with the different access rights and with the different qualities. This work focuses on delivering the data from remote sensor nodes with intermittent connected networks and dispatching the results to the end users connected by mobile devices. A specific of this work is the means of sensor data collection, where the mobile devices are used as the data producers. The specified information and the data provided by mobile device sensors are collected and aggregated into a centralized system. In addition the sensor data are collected using remote sensors passing through an ad-hoc gateway that may be presented in a convenient way on the mobile devices.","PeriodicalId":144551,"journal":{"name":"2015 IEEE 13th International Symposium on Intelligent Systems and Informatics (SISY)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132908209","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Hardware architectures for the implementation of a number of ensemble combination rules are also presented. The proposed architectures are optimized for size, making them particularly interesting for embedded applications where the size of the system is critical constraint. Proposed architectures are suitable for the implementation using FPGA and ASIC technology. Experiment results obtained using 29 datasets from the standard UCI Machine Learning Repository database suggest that the FPGA implementations offer significant improvement in the classification time in comparison with the pure software implementations.","PeriodicalId":144551,"journal":{"name":"2015 IEEE 13th International Symposium on Intelligent Systems and Informatics (SISY)","volume":"57 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124538763","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is not uncommon that even the completely imperceptible information is of high importance in very different contexts. We have developed a method of partial linear dependence, PLD to deal with this problem, improving available methods and techniques involved; it is especially useful for the analysis of acoustic and brain signals where it can be used to extend current concepts of connectivity, as well. This method is well applicable in other application domains, especially in the analysis of variety of biological signals.","PeriodicalId":144551,"journal":{"name":"2015 IEEE 13th International Symposium on Intelligent Systems and Informatics (SISY)","volume":"70 S15","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120838517","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The availability of such information to incident commanders assists the ever continuing need to improve the effectiveness of emergency response through the enhancement of agency preparedness and awareness; this also includes the potential offered by volunteers and the general public as well. To address the above mentioned challenges a distributed platform capable of seamlessly collect and aggregate information from engaged users providing information using the web or mobile devices is proposed. At the same time integration of information from sources such as sensors deployed on incident sites, publicly available open data, corporate legacy systems or documents stored on remote locations is enabled. As a result the platform end users can act based on the results of information aggregation and analysis. The work presented in this paper is motivated mainly by requirements identified by first responders during numerous crisis responses.","PeriodicalId":144551,"journal":{"name":"2015 IEEE 13th International Symposium on Intelligent Systems and Informatics (SISY)","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129457908","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Crowdsourcing is the latest revolution brought about by the digital technologies of computing and communication. Since 2006, it has been a popular process of obtaining services, ideas, or content by soliciting contributions from a large group of people, especially from an online community, using ICT. Firstly we introduce crowdsourcing in the context of the information society, ubiquitous computing, and Web 2.0. We shall then look at the paradigm shift in methodology caused by the advent of crowdsourcing and big data. This brings us to the focus of our paper, where we can define and categorize crowdsourcing according to several aspects, and introduce the theory of collective intelligence, the wisdom of crowds, in order to present its use in big data analysis and education. In the fourth part, we give examples of citizen science crowdsourcing related to education. Finally, we raise some important issues and draw conclusions.","PeriodicalId":144551,"journal":{"name":"2015 IEEE 13th International Symposium on Intelligent Systems and Informatics (SISY)","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125916155","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This transformation was called Sigmoid Generated Fixed Point Transformation (SGFPT). This paper introduces new improvements on this alternative approach. It is shown that in contrast to the original Robust Fixed Point Transformation (RFPT), for guaranteeing the global stability of the control, instead of tuning, a simple estimation can be done for one of the adaptive control parameters. The novel method is demonstrated by the adaptive control of a 2 Degree of Freedom (DoF) TORA system. Simulation results validate that the suggested approach is beneficial and ensures satisfactory performance.","PeriodicalId":144551,"journal":{"name":"2015 IEEE 13th International Symposium on Intelligent Systems and Informatics (SISY)","volume":"63 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127860208","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
