It integrates the communication of citizen patrols and police units. When unexpected emergency happens, the system can enhance the citizen patrols' communications capabilities, decrease the time in communication and response, and reduce the loss of life and property. There are five citizen patrols implemented EIMS in northern Taiwan. They have enhanced the capacity of community citizen patrols. The average packet acquisition time of the wireless network coding scheme is evaluated by theoretical analysis. The effect of the wireless network coding scheme is shown by comparing with the system without network coding scheme. Consequently, it is shown that the wireless network coding scheme is superior to the system without network coding scheme in the reliable channel environment. However, this kind of state is constrained with limit service and bounded. This paper presents an innovative concept of services for parking guidance. Driver can make a reservation by smart phone or tablet pc in thirty minutes before, and furthermore the service platform will book a parking lot using vehicle ID. When vehicle pass through the entrance of parking area, the location of reserved parking lot will be marked in a customized map and transmitted to in-vehicle device using DSRC. After driver parks his vehicle to scheduled parking lot, parking server will send a message to driver or in-vehicle device in order to log the final vehicle location and heading. The developed system, which is named as SmartValet, is also available in underground parking area or interior of the building. The autonomous ability is integrated different sensors to offer robots or remotely operated systems a reliable navigation means. It addresses a global and all weather navigation design based on GPS, gear-box speed, odometry and inertial measurement in dead reckoning and data fusion. Positioning uncertainty will grow with time as a result of integration error so the performance will lose accuracy. To solve this shortcoming with error bounded, this paper uses a creative idea which driver clicks and drags touch panel to give a new position and heading. To improve productivity, as well as enhance operational efficiency of a sea port, automated container terminals must play an important role in global cargo transportation by saving energy consumption, reducing the service cost and increasing the cargo throughput. To achieve these requirements, the development of reliable heterogeneous communication system among all communicating objects such as Intelligent Autonomous Vehicles (IAV), Confined Base Station (CBS) and RFID-based container that communicate inside container terminals, becomes a paramount objective. This communication system has specific challenges comparing to classical vehicular communication systems ones by emphasizing mainly on IAV-to-IAV, IAV-to-CBS and IAV-to- RFID-based container communications. Our aim in this paper is to introduce the IAV architecture dealing with IAVs based communication system, and then present candidate communication technologies for port container terminals. VDTN architecture uses vehicles to relay data, enabling network connectivity in challenging scenarios. This architecture uses the store-carry-and-forward parading allowing messages reaching their destination by hopping over nodes. This paper presents an evaluation study performed through a real-world VDTN testbed using two applications: Warning Message and Traffic Jam Information. It also validates the real deploy of this new vehicular communication approach. Because the laboratory environment does not accomplished several complex issues presented in vehicular communication systems, this real testbed is an important contribution. The real deployment of VDTN is confirmed by the results. All the driving behaviors are recorded in the system and are transformed into business insight for the taxi driver. Meanwhile, several innovative services are delivered to the end users. In this paper we present a machine learning approach to analyzing driving maneuver skills of a driver that covers both longitudinal and lateral controls. The concept is to learn a driver model from sensor data that are related to driving environment, driving behavior and vehicle response. Once the model is built, driving skills of an unknown run can be classified automatically. In this paper, we consider the design of a 2×2 space-time block coded (STBC) MIMO-OFDM baseband receiver with different carrier frequency offsets between transmit antennas due to an antenna resistance match problem. We propose a new carrier frequency offset tracking algorithm to estimate the mismatch of carrier frequency offsets between two transmit antennas. As the carrier frequency mismatch is corrected at transmitters via the side information channel, the performance of the MIMO OFDM receiver can approach the result without carrier frequency offsets. In order to correctly identify the state of traffic flow, the traffic speed must be obtained accurately. In Shanghai, most of the industrial loop detectors (ILDs) are installed in a single loop way. These ILDs can only detect the parameters of flow, saturation, etc., but the speed can not be detected. If the relationship between the traffic flow and speed can be mined accurately, we can obtain the speed using the flow data directly. The purpose of this study is to use multiple kernel support vector regression (MKL-SVR) algorithm to model the relationship between the traffic speed and flow, then estimate the speed accurately. Extensive experiments have been performed to evaluate the performances of the four algorithms: polynomial fitting algorithm, BP neural networks, SVR and MKL-SVR.
