Coblation adenoidectomy has emerged as a preferred method, with advantages such as diminished postoperative pain and swifter recovery. However, its application via trans nasal access in children, particularly those with anatomical variations, poses significant challenges. The aim of this study is to introduce and evaluate the advantages and limitations of transoral endoscopic coblation adenoidectomy in paediatric patients, with a focus on assessing its efficacy and safety.\u0000Methods: A total of 80 children who presented to the outpatient department with chronic adenoid hypertrophy, aged between 2 and 12 years, were selected for participation in this study. Transoral coblation adenoidectomy was performed on all selected patients. The procedure was carried out with the patient placed in either Rose position or reverse Trendelenburg position, chosen randomly. \u0000Results: Complete clearance of adenoid tissue was done under visualisation. There were no intraoperative adverse events. Bleeding during the procedure was minimal, suggesting excellent hemostasis. Postoperative pain reported by patients were minimal.\u0000Conclusions: Transoral endoscopic coblation adenoidectomy stands as a promising approach in the management of chronic adenoid hypertrophy in children, offering more advantages in children with narrow airways and coexisting anatomical variations. The findings of this study support the notion that transoral endoscopic coblation adenoidectomy achieves complete clearance of adenoid tissue with minimal intraoperative adverse events and postoperative complications. Additionally, the procedure results in minimal postoperative pain and allows for shorter hospital stay.

The spectrum varies from Intermediate between entirely benign hemangiomas to highly malignant angiosarcomas. Generally epithelioid HE (EHE), variants have a low degree of malignancy, with a tendency to local relapse but a less metastatic potential. Here we describe a rare case of epitheloid hemangiendothelioma, asymptomatic soft pinkish growth in the lower lip of a 65 years old Female, an excisional biopsy was performed and confirmed by histopathological diagnosis. The aim of this study was to compare efficacy and safety of hypertonic saline solution with or without lysozyme in the treatment of acute nasopharyngitis.\u0000Methods: Non-interventional, prospective, multicentre, observational, parallel study was conducted on adult subjects with symptoms of acute nasopharyngitis. Subjects were divided into hypertonic saline or lysozyme group (receiving slightly hypertonic nasal spray with addition of lysozyme). Time until the patency of both nasal passages was measured after the first application of therapy. The congestion severity was assessed by using a visual analogue scale before the therapy application, after 30 minutes, and after seven days. Adverse reactions were monitored and evaluated. \u0000Results: The total number of included subjects was 252 (60 in the hypertonic saline group and 192 in the lysozyme group). In both groups, a significantly better assessment of the severity of the nasal passages’ obstruction was recorded after 30 minutes and seven days from therapy start (for all compared time intervals p<0.001). The lysozyme group had a significantly lower nasal congestion score compared to hypertonic saline 30 minutes after therapy (p<0.001) and seven days from the therapy start (p=0.001). In the hypertonic saline group, a significantly shorter time was observed to establish the patency of the nasal passages after the first therapy application (p<0.001). All adverse events were mild.\u0000Conclusions: Addition of lysozyme to slightly hypertonic nasal spray brings added value in the pharmacotherapy of acute nasopharyngitis.

There have been a few reported cases of RMS occurring in the oral cavity. The prognosis of a patient with this condition depends on many clinical and biological factors, including age, the location of the tumor, histopathological subtype, and whether it has spread at the time of diagnosis. This case report and literature review focus on an unusual presentation of embryonal RMS in the uvula. The report described a case of a young Mexican child presented with symptoms such as edema, swelling of the soft palate, and necrosis of the uvula. The authors discuss the characteristics, management, and treatment of this neoplasm, providing valuable insights on the prognosis and therapeutic approaches for this rare condition and considering that the head and neck region can be a challenging site to treat due to the young age of the patient and the critical anatomy of this area.

The exact cause of this nature of hearing loss is unknown in most cases, although it is linked to viral infections, vascular compromise or coagulation disorders in the blood, metabolic conditions such as diabetes mellitus, autoimmune conditions of the inner ear, endolymphatic hydrops such as in Meniere’s disease, or traumatic injury to the inner ear. A case of a 20-year-old male who was apparently healthy before presenting with the sudden onset of bilateral hearing loss, accompanied by tinnitus and dizziness was presented. There was no headache, loss of consciousness, or visual disturbance, and the patient had no history of head trauma. Otoscopy, anterior rhinoscopy, and neurological examination were apparently normal. The diagnosis of sudden sensorineural hearing loss was made, and the patient's pure tone audiometry results showed profound sensorineural hearing loss on the right side, and moderate sensorineural hearing loss on the left. The patient was treated with methylprednisolone and acyclovir. We have presented a rare case of bilateral sudden sensorineural hearing loss in a young adult male who had no risk factors. The cause of sudden sensorineural hearing loss in this patient was thought to be idiopathic.
