Since the foreign trade relation of Vietnam expanded, the export sector has been outperformed with a double-digit growth rate, especially Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC). To study the impact of firm specifices, trade liberalization on export intensity (EI) of Vietnamese exporters with moderating effect of location advantages on the relationship between firm specifics and EI, data was collected from 61 exporters listing in Vietnam stock markets from 2010 to 2020. The regression test was carried out by applying GMM model and showed that firm productivity has a negative impact on EI while cost to income ratio has a psotive impact on EI at the significance level of 5%. Trade liberalization has a positive impact on EI significantly at 5%. The findings confirmed the moderating role of firm location in the relationship between firm specifics and EI. The findings support RBV theory, and trade liberalization policy. Proverbs are defined as figurative or allusive statements of sentences, clauses, or sentences that encompass the power of wisdom, moral elements, and indigenous practices that are arranged metaphorically, have a fixed form, and possess a pure value inherited from generation to generation (KSSM Bahasa Iban, 2015). The effectiveness of teaching and learning is influenced by the teacher's competence, which includes approaches (Daly, Liou & Der-Martirosian, 2021), leadership (Shen et al., 2020) and content pedagogical knowledge (Gess-Newsome et al., 2019). Likewise, especially when teaching proverbs in the Iban language. This growth in advertising investment in social networks means that brands are changing their global advertising plans in order to increasingly promote their products and services through online advertising, directing their communication to the Z generation that was born to consume content available on social media. This research aimed to investigate how the importance of advertising moderates the relationship between advertising on social networks and consumers' purchase intention. Advertising on social networks is a strategy that can be used to increase the credibility of a brand's promotional message, making advertising more persuasive and credible. The study included 919 respondents, aged between 18 and 26 years, most of whom were female (51.3%). To measure the purchase intention, a composite variable was created, consisting of the four items developed by Duffett (2015). Data analysis revealed that advertising on social networks and the importance given to advertising significantly influence consumers' purchase intention. This data is important for brand managers, advertisers, and marketers because it is clear that purchase intent tends to increase when consumers consider advertising on social networks to be important. In addition, the type of land use and/or the availability of various supporting tourism facilities is very limited. The findings indicated that these madrasahs do have resources to be developed as tourist attraction, which can be part of Edu tourism element. Study revealed there are potentials for Edu tourism through in depth interview sessions which yielded three main attributes: recreation activities, spiritual and intrinsic values and locality and accessibility. On the other hand, the challenges faced by these madrasahs, in terms of financial and human resource are important consideration that require effective and efficient action from relevant authorities. However, it is believed that if these madrasahs receive support, Edu tourism could be the mechanism to help alleviate these challenges. Nonetheless, future studies may need to explore more on the feasibility and options for lending assistance for madrasah growth. The implication of the findings will be able to provide fundamental understanding on the madrasah management to generate income through tourism, be self-sustaining and at the same time, contribute to the social and economic wellbeing of the local community at large. For example, they try to provide free shipping promos, discount, give away, quizzes with prizes and so on, they even still use this strategy until now entering the Post-Covid-19 Pandemic period. However, in providing promotional offers to attract consumers to visit e-commerce This is not a major factor in determining whether consumers will buy the products or service offered, because many other similar platforms also do the same thing and maybe it will be even more tempting for consumer. Therefore, it will be better for e-commerce to focus more on providing satisfaction that can lead to purchasing decisions and make them loyal (Tobagus, 2018). Providing quality service to satisfy consumers is what all e-commerce aims for, because if the consumer is satisfied with the product purchased and the service obtained it will bring profit to the e-commerce and can survive in today's increasingly fierce competition. The Role of Environmental Awareness in Supporting Coastal Ecotourism within Fishing Communities","authors":"Azreen Rozainee Abdullah, Hoe Yue Fen","doi":"10.35609/gcbssproceeding.2023.1(85)","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.35609/gcbssproceeding.2023.1(85)","url":null,"abstract":"Visiting fishing villages and natural coastal areas offer unique experience for city dwellers. Sadly, many beautiful coastal areas in fast developing cities are witnessed to turn into new concrete jungles or man-made attractions through land reclamation. Land reclamation is the process of creating a new artificial land from the sea (Rosman et al., 2020). The construction of reclaiming lands from sea are known to destroy natural landscapes, damage natural areas for fish spawning and marine nursery habitats, lower the level of oxygen in the water, and significatly reduce the numbers of fish and other marine resources in the affected area (Ding et al., 2020; Xu et al., 2021). Land reclamation also may deprive fishermen and fishing communities of access and ability to utilize coastal and marine resources, thus directly affecting fishermen's income (Fabinyi, 2020). To sustain their livelihood and reduce their dependency on the declining marine resources, fishermen ventured into coastal ecotourism, providing tours and turning their fishing house into tourists accommodation (Stacey et al., 2021). According to Pineda et al. (2023), tourists who participates in ecotourism usually prefer going to natural areas, with the intention to help conserve the area and bring benefits to local communities. However, little is relatively known about how much tourists support fishing communities conducting ecotourism and whether environmental awareness does influece their support. Hence, this study investigates environmental awareness (EA) as a mediatior in influencing the perception of land reclamation negative impacts (LR) and support for coastal ecotourism within fishing communities (CE). Based on the mapping of MSME players in Indonesia from the data of the Indonesian Central Statistics Agency (BPS), it is known that 64.5% of MSME players are women. This figure shows that women/mothers are empowered and play a significant role in their economy, families, and even the country. In the end, a gender perspective is essential so that the interventions that can be provided do not exclude women from being recipients or subjects only but view women as agents or crucial actors to advance the economy, society, and culture. Some strategies must be considered to help women become more successful business owners. These include turning informal businesses into formal ones, moving into the supply chain, making digital technology more up-to-date, and getting more women to start businesses that make money. Of course, this requires increasing human resource capacity, training, mentoring, access to financing facilities, legal aid facilities, information, and others, to develop together. The high growth of women's businesses will positively impact economic recovery. However, with the development of economic conditions, the number of MSMEs will increase, and the competition will be higher. In the process, women who can take advantage of the situation and have consistency and confidence in their abilities will be able to move forward more quickly than those who do not have these abilities. This capacity is called psychological Empowerment. Women's psychological Empowerment is the ability of women to have life choices, one of which is making a practical decision about the business or entrepreneurship that is being undertaken to reduce social and economic barriers (Digan et al., 2019).
