(SSA). Land reform is a planned purposive change in the way land tenure is held or owned. It also includes the methods of cultivation that are employed and in a way, defines the relation of agriculture to the rest of the economy. Like most economies in Sub Saharan Africa (SSA), agriculture in Zimbabwe plays an important role in the country’s economy and also on the livelihoods of the rural populace whose quest for food security and nutrition, income and expansion of their rural economies is embedded in agriculture. This is clearly spelt out in the Zimbabwe’s economic blue print, the National Development Strategy One (NDS1) where agriculture forms the important enabler for the country’s social and economic transformation by the second Republic of President Emmerson Mnangagwa. Farmers under the A1 model of Zimbabwe’s Fast Track Land Reform Programme (FTLRP) have engaged in Farmer Led-Irrigation (FLI) initiatives to complement irrigation programmes by the Government of Zimbabwe. The main goal of these initiatives is to increase crop productivity that invariably enhances small holder farmers’ livelihoods. As the production of rice is affected by the lockdown, the Filipino farmers also suffered. The pandemic and the lockdown imposed in response to it have added to the burden for farmers and traders, whose movements are now restricted. In this study, the researchers aimed to give light to the experiences of the local farmers during the pandemic. These experiences are mainly focused on the effect of the pandemic on their livelihood, financial status, and their mental health. The data was collected through interviews by giving them questionnaires. The responses from the 16 respondents were analyzed to answer the study’s research questions. The data showed that person aged 41-45 were more dominant in farming than the person who aged 26-40 and 60 years old and above of the key-participants of the conducted study. The findings showed that most of the farmers have the same struggles experienced during the pandemic. These struggles are due to lack of equipment, drying of crops, pests, and the added burden of strict protocols that were implemented by the government. Many of them also expressed that their income became lower during the pandemic because of the low production of goods since there are less farmers","PeriodicalId":14290,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Scientific and Research Publications (IJSRP)","volume":"45 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"80781440","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It’s chronic nature results in significant physical and psychological burden, including the development of depressive symptoms. In this present study we aimed to investigate factors related to the development of depressive symptoms in individuals with knee OA. 120 knee OA outpatients were obtained consecutively in this cross sectional study. Multiple linear regression was then used to assess relationships of independent risk factors to depressive symptoms severity measured with Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9). The final multivariate result in the model that fit the factors associated with depression in knee OA patients were income with p value = 0.012 and r value = -0.152, employment with p < 0.001 and r value = -0.473, BMI with p value < 0.001 and r value = 0.233 were found to contribute to depressive symptom scores for as much as 73.5%. Thus, the study explored the influence of access to credit on reduction of poverty among women groups in Bondo sub-county. The study used a descriptive survey research design using 150 women groups in Bondo Sub-county. Through stratified random sampling, the groups were selected from the five wards in the sub-county. Quantitative data was collected using questionnaires and interviews. Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 24.0 was used for data analysis. The study also found that there was a significant association between collateral and poverty reduction since the computed p value of 0.011 is less than 0.05 at 95% confidence level. The study recommends that stakeholders such as government and financial institutions make it easier for women to access credit. Finally, the study recommends that the women groups find other avenues of investment so as to diversify their operations.","PeriodicalId":14290,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Scientific and Research Publications (IJSRP)","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"82886674","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research used mixed method approach with descriptive method to determine the effect of leadership styles on managerial strategy. The population of the study comprised of all the 50 staffs with sample size of 45 respondents. Simple random sampling as well as purposive and convenience sampling techniques were used in this research. Questionnaires were used to collect data on leadership style and employee performance both quantitatively and qualitatively. SPSS software was used to calculate simple analysis. Themes were also developed from the interview transcriptions. The results from both analysis show that all the leadership styles do not have any effect on leadership style of management on managerial strategy in public sector. This study uses a cross-sectional study design to gather data from the respondents using a survey questionnaire. Following data cleaning and screening, data analysis was carried out on a total sample size of 45 eligible respondents. This study found that managerial leadership style had a minimal impact on managerial strategy in South Sudan's public sector. The study also recommends that when managing the institution, managers and supervisors consider the effect of management leadership style on managerial strategy in the public and private sector. in order to conduct additional research on management leadership style and its fascinating new field of influence on managerial strategy in the public sector.","PeriodicalId":14290,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Scientific and Research Publications (IJSRP)","volume":"1999 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"88251089","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Placental pathology in the setting of maternal SARS-CoV-2 infection remains a topic of great interest because the raising concern for vertical transmission and earlier studies have shown mixed results Objective: We present series of 28 placentas of SARS-CoV-2 positive women who had been diagnosed by RT PCR in Haji Adam Malik General Hospital as one major goverment hospital for COVID-19 management in Medan, North Sumatera, Indonesia from February-August 2021. Methods: All placentas were microscopically examined with H&E-stained sections, which usually included full-thickness sections that included fetal and maternal surfaces and one section with two umbilical cord sections and membrane rolls. Results: Pathologic findings were divided into maternal vascular malperfusion, fetal vascular malperfusion, chronic inflammatory lesions, amniotic fluid infection sequence, increased perivillous fibrin, intervillous thrombi, increased subchorionic fibrin, meconium-laden macrophages within fetal membranes, and chorangiosis. Mostly, the placentas showed prominent signs of increased fibrin deposition in perivillous and intervillous thrombus (92,9 % and 82,1%), but not many showed lymphohistiocytic villitis (10,7%) respectively, as reported in other studies. Conclusions: Limited conclusions can be drawn about the effect of maternal SARS-CoV-2 infection on placental pathology. Based on the data in this study, we report general histopathological features, which include maternal vascular malperfusion, fetal vascular malperfusion, inflammation and thrombus in placentas with COVID-19 infection. A prospective cohort study with a larger sample population with thorough placental examination is needed to understand the impact of SARS-CoV-2 on the placenta, pregnancy and possible fetal sequelae.","PeriodicalId":14290,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Scientific and Research Publications (IJSRP)","volume":"34 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81030983","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
