To handle the combination between them, we apply the so-called MapReduce paradigm, which is widely deployed in big data analysis, and the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), which is the most used method among the MCDM methodologies. The main gap to cover is shown in two directions; on the one hand, how big data analysis can help to overcome the limitations of methodologies such as AHP when a vast number of alternatives are present, on the other hand, we look at how MCDM methods can help big data analysis to go one step beyond, that is to say, to move from the predictive to the prescriptive analysis. To illustrate the whole approach, we show its application to a real world decision problem concerning the sale of travel insurances. Our methodology returns an accurate ranking of potential clients before being contacted by the sales agent working for a commercial bank. So it helps to the sales profession by contributing to the creation of value for customers and to the sales professionals by optimizing their functions.","PeriodicalId":14198,"journal":{"name":"International journal of recent scientific research","volume":"39 1","pages":"36216-36224"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"80164248","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Diabetes mellitus is a clinical syndrome characterized by hyperglycemia due to absolute or relative deficiency of insulin. There is disturbance of intermediary metabolism mainly manifesting as chronic hyperglycemia. Diabetes Mellitus is a global health problem that is often treated with homeopathy. Objective: The objective of this review will be to evaluate the effectiveness of homoepathic medicines in Type 2 diabetes mellitus with Abroma Augusta Mother Tincture. Material and Method: Thirty cases of type 2 diabetes mellitus (Diagnosed based on clinical history and investigations). Abroma Augusta Mother Tincture prescribed for these cases and follow up every one month up to six months. Results: Over a period of 6 months, there was a significant reduction in all the clinical parameters which includes Fasting Blood Sugar (FBS), Post Prandial Blood Sugar (PPBS) in test group with t test (P=0.0001) . i.e. Abroma Augusta Mother Tincture showed significant effect compared to the placebo group. ANOVA repeated measures also showed significant difference (P = 0.001). Conclusion: There is a significant reeducation in blood glucose levels in cases of type 2 diabetes mellitus before, during and after with Abroma Augusta Mother Tincture.","PeriodicalId":14198,"journal":{"name":"International journal of recent scientific research","volume":"69 1","pages":"24687-24691"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74505340","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The vitamin D deficiency is one of the factor causing type 2 diabetes and increasing its complications. Vitamin D regulates Ca in humans and CYP2R1 gene methylation decreases vitamin D level. Ca plays a pivotal role intracellular signal in the regulation of insulin secretion from pancreatic β-cells. So, deficiency of vitamin D due to CYP2R1 gene methylation affects Ca secretion which further affects insulin level. This fluctuation in insulin level due to CYP2R1 gene methylation might results in type 2 diabetes, although this statement needs further verification via experimental methods.","PeriodicalId":14198,"journal":{"name":"International journal of recent scientific research","volume":"272 1","pages":"24246-24252"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-02-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90774988","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In 2012, globally 162 million children were stunted, 99 million children were under weight, 51 million were wasted and 45% of 6.9 million child deaths occurred in 2011, which were related to under-nutrition. Methodology: Major determinants of malnutrition in sick children fewer than five years of age were evaluated and compared with age matched well nourished children. The nutritional statuses of the subjects (80 malnourished and 80 well nourished) were determined by measuring MUAC. Different socio-economic indicators of the subjects were evaluated and correlated with malnutrition and disease severity to find out the determinants of malnutrition in children of Jimma town. Results: Most of the severely malnourished were resident of rural area (88.8%). Out of 80 malnourished children, 51(63.75%) were belong to families having monthly income <500 birr, where as in well nourished group (80 children) only 22 (27.5%) were belong to families having monthly income <500 birr. In malnourished group 61.8% of children were having diarrheal episode during past 2 weeks. The prevalence of diarrhea in malnourished group was 21.3% which is higher than well-nourished group. Conclusion: Place of residence, literacy status of mother, family size, family income, vaccination, presence TB, marital status of mother, diarrhea, timing of supplementary diet and water sources are the major determinants of SAM.","PeriodicalId":14198,"journal":{"name":"International journal of recent scientific research","volume":"27 1","pages":"23148-23153"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-01-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"73431056","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
