However, poor bioavailability and selectivity might limit their clinical application. Therefore, bioavailability is considered a notable challenge to improving bio-efficacy in transporting dietary phytochemicals. Different methods have been proposed for generating effective carrier systems to enhance the bioavailability of Phytochemicals. Among them, nano-vesicles have been introduced as promising candidates for the delivery of insoluble phytochemicals. Due to the easy preparation of the bilayer vesicles and their adaptability, they have been widely used and approved by the scientific literature. The first part of the review is focused on introducing pyrosomes technology as well as its applications, with emphasis on principles of formulations and characterization. The second part provides a wide overview of the biological activities of commercial and non-commercial pyrosomes, divided by systems and related pathologies. These results confirm the greater effectiveness of pyrosomes, both in terms of biological activity or reduced dosage, high-lighting curcumin, and Silymarin as the most formulated compounds. Finally, we describe the promising clinical and experimental findings regarding the applications of pyrosomes. The conclusion of this study encourages the researchers to transfer their knowledge from laboratories to the market, for further development of these products.","PeriodicalId":14190,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Pharmacognosy and Chemistry","volume":"35 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"80486489","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The knowledge gained over the years - through trial and error methods - about the medicinal uses of local flora are transmitted from one generation to another. It is an outcome of bold experimentation and useful observations made over several hundreds of years and are in fact considered as mother of all other traditional systems of medicine. This system is losing ground with time and getting influenced by modern medicinal practices. The depletion of the forest resources and lack of proper recognition to the traditional healers, is posing threat of losing the valuable age old knowledge. Traditional indigenous medicinal practice is a repository of knowledge that needs to dovetail with the innovations and practices of modern medicine for betterment of mankind.The “Study of Traditional medicinal practice among the Tribals of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana” was primarily undertaken to document and recognize the sustainable indigenous medicinal knowledge and practices of the tribals located in the Eastern Ghats of Srikakulam and Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh and in Adilabad in Telangana. It is a qualitative and quantitative study, where data were gathered through interviews, direct observation, focus group discussions and questionnaires, and analyzed. The study brings to light that, how unique and innovative they were and how, over a period of time, the practices and knowledge is losing its ground and its impact on mankind, and environment, It has also raised pertinent questions on sustainability and the increased vulnerability of traditional healers.","PeriodicalId":14190,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Pharmacognosy and Chemistry","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83020434","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Most the diseases are due to improper life style, Taking improper functional foods and by depend on fast, junk foods. Due to these foods, oxidation takes place and oxidation causes lysis of cell and it causes cancer Plants such as Euphorbia heterophylla are commonly found in our surroundings. They are also used for the management of different human diseases. The anticancer activities of leaves from these plants were investigated using aqueous extracts. The extracts are subjected to phytochemical analysis. The invitro methods were used for significant cytotoxicity on Human ovarian cancer cell lines, viz., Pa-1 cells with the IC50 concentrations (The Concentration of the Compound have the capacity to kill 50% of Viable Cells) at 57.08ug/ml respectively after the incubation period of 24hrs. The MTT assay is a colorimetric assay used for the determination of cell proliferation and cytotoxicity, based on reduction of the yellow coloured water soluble tetrazolium dye MTT to formazan crystals. The obtained results suggesting us that the EHE may have effective anticancer potential against the Human ovarian cancer (Pa-1) cells due to its low IC50 value.","PeriodicalId":14190,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Pharmacognosy and Chemistry","volume":"41 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86927191","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The pH of the solution, the adsorbent dose, the initial concentration of Cu (II) ions, the contact period, and the temperature are all factors that influenced Cu (II) sorption. The adsorption capacity at 5 pH, 80 minutes of contact time, and 318 K was calculated using the Langmuir adsorption model. By comparing the coefficient correlation (R2) values, both the Langmuir and Freundlich equations were found to fit the equilibrium data. The parameters (ΔGo, ΔHo, and ΔSo) were examined during thermodynamic tests at three distinct temperatures: 298, 308, and 318 K, suggesting that the process was sustained, spontaneous, and endothermic. Pseudo-second-order kinetic models accurately described adsorption kinetics when compared to pseudo-first-order kinetic models. Finally, the current research revealed that the bio-adsorption technique utilizing Vaucheria sp. alga could be an inexpensive and effective way to adsorb and remove Cu (II) metal ions from synthetic waste waters.","PeriodicalId":14190,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Pharmacognosy and Chemistry","volume":"41 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74322462","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
