The way of elimination on the influence of railway becomes increasingly important. Due to the diseconomy to install passive filters around the whole power grid, this paper presents a harmonic suppression method using the optimal configuration of passive power filter based on particle swarm optimization (PSO) method in the power grid affected by the electrified railways. At first, this paper makes an evaluation on the impacts on power system with railway both in theory and the data measured by PQView software. It makes an introduction and analysis on the methods of harmonic suppression affected by electrified railways on the power grid, and the importance of harmonic governance affected by electrified railways on the power grid was emphasized. Then, it makes a detail analysis on the theory of harmonic suppression using passive power filter based on PSO method affected by electrified railways on the power grid. Besides, according to the characteristic of Taotang power grid (Taotang power grid is an actual area network affected by the electrified railways) and the influence of harmonics on the Taotang power grid, a mathematical model is built considering the economy and effect of passive filters as the optimal objective. Then, an optimal configuration of passive filters in the Taotang power grid is given through optimizing by the PSO algorithm. Besides, the simulations and analysis are provided, and by comparing the harmonic data before the harmonic suppression using passive filters based on PSO method with the harmonic data after the optimal configuration of passive filters based on PSO algorithm, it is showed that the optimal configuration of passive power filter based on particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm has obvious effect on the harmonic suppression and the proposed method is validity, which provides a theoretical and engineering reference for the improvement of the harmonic in power network affected by electrified railways.","PeriodicalId":140420,"journal":{"name":"2018 13th IEEE Conference on Industrial Electronics and Applications (ICIEA)","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125518313","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we optimize the secrecy throughput and improve the utilization of the harvested energy in a certain way with a based beamforming artificial noise aided SWIPT system over a Rayleigh fading channel. We investigate the relationship between the secrecy outage probability and the target secrecy rate and the power allocation ratio through formula derivation and simulation results. Then we propose an algorithm of joint power allocation and splitting to achieve the maximum secrecy throughput. Furthermore, we investigate the maximum secrecy throughput in the beamforming mode and that in broadcast mode. The simulation results show that the use of beamforming technique can greatly improve the performance of the secrecy throughput and the harvested energy.","PeriodicalId":140420,"journal":{"name":"2018 13th IEEE Conference on Industrial Electronics and Applications (ICIEA)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126392706","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Theoretically, once the MPPT control is activated, the operating point will eventually reach the theoretical maximum point precisely. But the actual operating point cannot be controlled to reach the target value due to the losses of new system, which consists of planetary gear, generator and auxiliary motor. This study presents a way to roughly estimate iron loss in auxiliary motor, using bisection method to obtain iron loss without so many detailed parameters needed and compensate it in the torque MPPT control loop. Overvoltage in low voltage distribution network can be solved by controlling the active power and reactive power output of PV inverter. With this strategy, the output of PV inverter could be controlled dynamically in accordance with a purpose of local voltage control. The dynamic response module of power reference is the key technology to achieve voltage regulation. At high photovoltaic penetration and low load situation, this strategy could avoid voltage at the end of line surpassing the overvoltage limit. Also, this technique could reduce the amount of discarded light. Meanwhile, at low photovoltaic penetration and high load situation, this strategy can avoid voltage at the end of line off-limit by reactive power injection from PV inverter.","PeriodicalId":140420,"journal":{"name":"2018 13th IEEE Conference on Industrial Electronics and Applications (ICIEA)","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116211928","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Spontaneous and noninvasive, Brain-Computer Interface based on motor imagery EEG signal can be applied more widely. This paper focuses on pattern recognition of EEG signal in Brain-Computer Interface based on the left-right hand motor imagery. Mental task among 5 subjects was processed to acquire motor imagery EEG signal. In order to improve the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of EEG, filters in time domain, frequency domain and special domain are applied in signal preprocess. Additionally, power spectral density (PSD) was extracted with sliding windows from processed signal as features for pattern recognition. Then the discriminate labels of motor imagery are trained by linear discriminate analysis (LDA) and random forest algorithm to decode the imagine pattern. The results show an average recognition accuracy of 0.65 ± 0.07 for LDA and 0.70 ± 0.05 for random forest can be obtained, which has significant difference with random level. From the results, it can be concluded that pattern of motor imagery can be decoded. In addition, a signal trial online pattern recognition task can be further implement to achieve human-computer interaction based on EEG signals.","PeriodicalId":140420,"journal":{"name":"2018 13th IEEE Conference on Industrial Electronics and Applications (ICIEA)","volume":"13 10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116685805","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The hybrid microgrid is composed of AC subgrids and DC subgrids interconnected by BPC. The studies concentrate on the grid-off mode. When the microgrid operates in grid-off mode, the BPC is expected to be a balancer to guarantee the power supply quality for the two subgrids. The proposed control method can realize proportionally power sharing between the AC subgrid and DC subgrid, based on the capacity of each device. For better control performance, the square of DC bus voltage is used instead of DC voltage, which can make the control of DC bus voltage more linearized and improve the dynamic response of the DC bus voltage. Theoretical analysis and modeling are provided. The feasibility of the proposed method is validated by simulations in MATLABSimulink software.","PeriodicalId":140420,"journal":{"name":"2018 13th IEEE Conference on Industrial Electronics and Applications (ICIEA)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124895460","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Efficient task scheduling mechanism not only meets users' requirements but also ensures cloud resources' high utilization, so as to improve the overall performance of the cloud computing environment. Aiming at this problem, a new scheduling algorithm based on double-fitness algorithm-load balancing and task completion cost genetic algorithm(LCGA) is proposed. The scheduling guarantees load balancing and makes task completion cost less. At the same time, this paper brings in not just variance to represent the load among computing workers but weights multi-fitness function. Through the simulation experiment, the proposed algorithm is being compared with the genetic algorithm based on load balancing (LGA) and the genetic algorithm based on task completion cost (CGA). It proves the effectiveness of the scheduling algorithm and the availability of the optimization method.","PeriodicalId":140420,"journal":{"name":"2018 13th IEEE Conference on Industrial Electronics and Applications (ICIEA)","volume":"117 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124989412","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
