The complete description of wagtail has not been yet recorded from Chandertal Wildlife Sanctuary of Himachal Pradesh. Scientific survey were conducted to fulfill this taxonomic gap which result in documentation of three species belonging to genus Motacilla of family Motacillidae. The studied area harbours high altitude Wetland as internationally known Ramsar site (No. 1569) due to its characteristic and few endangered flora and fauna. The Chandertal lake with 2.5 km circumference and few small semipermanent water bodies interspersed with grassy meadows and rocky pastures, hosts different alpine chordates and non-chordate (mostly insects) fauna making ecological food web.","PeriodicalId":13993,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Fauna and Biological Studies","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89747493","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The design used in this study was a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 6 replications, and each experimental unit used 10 male bali ducks aged two weeks with homogeneous body weight. The four types of treatment, namely: A: ration without added Ca-PFAD as a control; B: feed with the addition of 1.5% Ca-PFAD; C: feed with the addition of 3.0% Ca-PFAD; and D: feed with the addition of 4.5% Ca-PFAD, respectively. The rations were prepared isocalorically (ME: 2900 kcal/kg) and isoprotein (CP:17%). The results showed that the administration of 1.5-4.5% Ca-PFAD in the diet significantly ( P < 0.05) increased feed consumption, final body weight, body weight gain, dry matter and organic matter digestibility, and feed efficiency compared to control. On the other hand, decreased significantly ( P < 0.05) on total cholesterol, total pad-fat, and abdominal fat in ducks. It can be concluded that 1.5-4.5% Ca-PFAD in feed can improve performance of male bali and decreased total cholesterol concentration in serum of bali ducks.","PeriodicalId":13993,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Fauna and Biological Studies","volume":"136 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"77448104","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study was conducted at Shekha, an IBA site of Aligarh district, for abundance assessment and factors affecting the population characteristics of water birds. there were 91 species recorded and found significant variations in the waterbird composition among the seasons (One way ANOVA). The density of Ducks & Geese was found maximum whereas richness of large waders was maximum. Cluster analysis used to grouping the months based on birds abundance, and rarefaction curve revealed that January was the richest month. Physicochemical parameters of water showed significant variations with water bird density, diversity, richness, and evenness. It play as a vital role to regulate the bird community structure in the wetland ecosystem.","PeriodicalId":13993,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Fauna and Biological Studies","volume":"2 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87985157","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
