We propose a new approach which consists in combining two methods in order to locate the brain electric activity: 'Weighted Minimum Norm' 'WMN' and 'LOw Resolution brain Electromagnetic TomogrAphy' 'LORETA'. The idea that we propose is to used the current density distribution estimated by the WMN method in order to initialize the LORETA method. A comparative study of three different inverse methods, WMN, LORETA and WMN-LORETA is presented. We compare the results found with existing methods LORETA and WMN. After one week they were treated with either 5 or 15 Gy of 60Co-gamma radiation. The first immunization was given 1 hour before the radiation treatment and then two more times with 14-day intervals. Immunization was performed with 3 times 106 radiation sterilized IFN-gamma secreting tumour cells (N29) injected intraperitoneally. Neither radiation therapy with 5 or 15 Gy nor immunization with N29 cells alone had any significant effect on the length of survival of N29 tumour bearing rats. But radiation therapy with 5 Gy combined with immunization with IFN-gamma secreting syngeneic N29 cells resulted in 63 % complete remissions and significantly (p < 0.05) increased survival for the tumour bearing rats. Corresponding combination with 15 Gy RT resulted in 50% complete remissions. However, they were not use the rich phase dynamics in the EEG. Phase synchronization was opposed to use for classification of motor imagery. In suitable time window, the electrodes of C3, C4 and central regions to match were selected and then Hilbert transform signal processing method was used for extracting the degree of phase synchronization between two electroencephalogram (EEC) signals by calculating the so-called phase locking value (PLV). The support vector machine (SVM) was used for classification of the motor imagery by a feature selection algorithm. The supraspinatus tendon is usually involved among above-mentioned diseases progression. Four texture analysis methods that texture feature coding method, gray-level cooccurrence matrix, fractal dimension and texture spectrum are used to extract features of tissue characteristic of supraspinatus tendon. The mutual information method is independently used to select powerful feature among four texture analysis method, further, the radial basis function network to classify the ones into the four disease group. The potential application of this research opens the door for the development of the future generations of effective drugs. The question of how to design effective siRNAs is still under intense study. Our motivation is to improve the accuracy of the simple linear model studied in [1]. We propose a new random perturbation method that predicts most active siRNA candidates with high accuracy. The contribution of this paper is two-fold. First, we developed the random perturbation method which improved the prediction of siRNA sequence efficacy in [1]. Our method is easy to implement and runs efficiently. Basic SVM of WSVM is equipped with weights derived from SVM output distribution to demonstrate decision confidence. These weights influence label assignment. TkNN handles the difficult cases rejected by WSVM. It works in the neighborhood that is developed by a locally informative metric. SVM decision interfaces helps to define the new metric. Hyper parameters of basic SVM are learned context dependently. Co-occurrence texture feature and semi-variogram texture feature are extracted from the image and the seeded region growing algorithm is run on these feature spaces. With a given Region of Interest(ROI), a seed point is automatically picked up based on three homogeneity criteria. A threshold is then obtained by taking a lower value just before the one causing 'explosion'. Our aim is to build a biomedical ontology in order to formalise and integrate genomic, environmental and phenotypic data applied to Nutritional Genomics research focused on cardiovascular diseases and related phenotypes. Four different food composition tables have been employed to estimate the amount of nutrients provided by the diet.
