The purity of the synthesized compounds was monitored by thin layer chromatography and characterized by FT-IR, 1HNMR, MASS spectral analysis. The compound exhibited moderate antibacterial activity against Bacillus subtilis, good activity against Escherichia coli, compared to standard ciprofloxacin. The two synthesized compounds named 3a [ (2-{[2-(3-chlorophenyl)-1H-benzimidazol-1-yl] methyl}-1H-isoindole-1, 3(2H)-dione)] and 5a [2-{[2-(2-chlorophenyl)-1H-benzimidazol-1-yl] methyl}-1H-isoindole-1, 3(2H)-dione] were tested for the antitubercular activity showed a significant activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis (H37Rv).","PeriodicalId":13865,"journal":{"name":"international journal of chemical sciences","volume":"15 1","pages":"1-7"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74778474","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

All the variations were more dependent on the dose in comparison to the duration. At the end of the experiment, serum glucose, serum cholesterol and serum urea levels raised (p<0.05) in both the concentrations of lead exposed fish when compared to controlled one. Conversely, the serum protein level decreased (p<0.05) in the lead exposed groups in comparison to the control group. These changes are indicative of stress imposed on the fish by lead and could be used as biomarkers of lead poisoning.","PeriodicalId":13865,"journal":{"name":"international journal of chemical sciences","volume":"62 1","pages":"1-7"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90090374","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These emulsions are generally destabilized by thermal, chemical and electrical methods or by employing some ionic or non-ionic surfactants in combination with thermal or electrical methods. It is known that clays affect the stability of these emulsions. Some researchers have reported the effect of ionic liquids in improving the demulsification of emulsions partly stabilized by clays. Therefore, an attempt was made to examine the synergistic effect of alum and demulsifier and it was found that at high concentration of demulsifier plus alum, the demulsification rate is abnormally increased. For effective demulsification, demulsifier dose of 10000 mg/l was found to be the best dose.","PeriodicalId":13865,"journal":{"name":"international journal of chemical sciences","volume":"16 1","pages":"1-6"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81801399","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aim of this research is to know the optimum composition between GO and paraffin as an adhesive material, and so on to be used for electrolyzing the alkaline water. The sample that will be analyze is a water that has pH value 8; 8.5; and 9. Composition for working electrode that will be tested by cyclic voltammetry are 5:5, 6:4, 7:3, 7.5:2.5, 8:2. Cyclic voltammetry test is run by scan rate at 100 mV/s and deposition time at 10 s. The result of cyclic voltammetry test described that 8:2 has the optimum composition and optimum pH was given to pH 9. Dihydropyrimidinones are mainly synthesized by Biginelli reaction, which involves cyclo condensation of benzaldehyde, urea and ethyl acetoacetate. The prepared compounds were characterized by noting their melting point, thin layer chromatography ultraviolet spectroscopy, infrared spectroscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance and Mass spectroscopy and were scrutinized for its in vitro anti-inflammatory activity and antioxidant activity by in vitro cell culture studies. The melting point, thin layer chromatography and ultraviolet spectroscopy of the synthesized compounds were found to be pure and identified chemically. The molecular structure and molecular mass of compounds were confirmed by Infrared, nuclear magnetic resonance and Mass spectroscopy. The IC50 value of compound 1 and compound 2 by hydrogen peroxide method was found to be 30.25 μg/ml and 26.06 μg/ml respectively. The IC50 value of compound 1 and compound 2 by DPPH assay method was found to be 27.872 μg/ml and 25.467 μg/ml respectively. Synthesized compounds also show anti-inflammatory activity.
