Along with the globalization trend, ever since the end of the 1980s, the process of financial integration has also been taking place, as a consequence of removing barriers to free movement of capital between countries. Therefore, this research explores financial integration of small open countries and aims to make conclusions on how this integration can affect their economic stability. Qualitative definitions of small countries point out that they typically have a limited territory, relatively small population and limited resources. The research hypothesis is postulated as follows: the economic stability index of small open countries is conditioned by their financial integration. The analysis includes small open countries of Southeast Europe observed from 2005 to 2020, with relevant statistical data used for the total inflow and outflow of investments, the share of assets and liabilities in gross domestic product and the calculated value of the economic stability index. The analysis was made using the methods of correlation analysis and correlation test. Data was collected through qualitative, in-depth interviews with senior managers of Paraguayan case study firms and other sources of evidence in 2022. The findings of this study suggest that the post-pandemic internationalization behavior differs from the pre-pandemic behavior. The data reveals that Paraguayan firms seem to have digitized their internationalization processes to connect with customers and distributors, to increase the productivity of internationalization, to manage internationalization cost, and to develop online distribution and marketing channels to acquire international customers directly. The “working from home” trend allows them to recruit more experts from abroad and with their global exporter business model, they may flexibly respond to business opportunities and to a growing geopolitical risk. The findings of this study have implications for practice and theory. Managers may use the results to improve their internationalization processes. The main objective of the research made was to identify and quantify the possible impact of the Covid-19 global pandemic on the EU sports industry. There are no doubts that this pandemic has had a significant impact on the world economy and also on the economies of the individual countries. This scientific article connects already published articles, which were focusing on the impacts of the Covid-19 on the global or local economies and their specific industries with the analysis of the impact on the sports industry in the European Union which have not been sufficiently investigated yet. Purpose of the article was to identify and quantify the impact of the Covid-19 waves and restrictions (that have been held against the spread of The Covid-19) on the sports industry in the EU and its individual countries. This paper also seeks to present possible solutions how the EU sports industry could possibly restore its pre-pandemic state. Mainly the empirical, exploratory, comparative and statistical methods of examining secondary data which are connected with the selected macroeconomic indicators (f. e. the industry outputs, state of employment in the selected time period) were used. Private and public companies are our sample for convenience. \u0000 \u0000Results: at the design stage, human capital and relationship capital identify market issues and opportunities. at the implementation and development stage, human, relational, structural, and technological capital are effective levers to generate performance and resilience. Finally, at the marketing and consolidation stage, human, structural, relational, financial, and technological capital have an undeniable contribution. But it is above all the integration of all these factors that generates success and resilience. \u0000 \u0000Implications and limitations: the chapter is useful for researchers, entrepreneurs and governments who will find strategies to enhance the success and resilience of technological entrepreneurship. This research is part of the theory of artificial science. The adoption of an inductive approach and a qualitative strategy is one of its limitations.
