The resorptive process can be caused by physiological, pathological, hormonal, and trauma factors. The present study aimed to report a case of invasive cervical resorption in tooth 12 identified as an incidental finding, in which all available clinical resources were used, as well as a combined multidisciplinary treatment of endodontics, orthodontics, surgery, and prosthesis. At the initial consultation, the tooth presented with Heithersay’s class II resorption, undergoing endodontic treatment and traction for subsequent cavity sealing. After completion of orthodontics, an increase in the resorptive pocket was observed (Class III of Heithersay), which led to endodontic retreatment and subsequent surgical intervention to remove the granulation tissue and fill it with bioceramic material. The preparation of the coronal remnant and fabrication of a prosthetic restoration were performed, with the aim of shielding the endodontic cavity and functionally restoring the tooth. With the case presented, it was possible to conclude that incidental findings are part of the endodontist’s daily life, requiring a constant search both for early diagnosis and effective multidisciplinary treatment, which contributes to the restoration of aesthetics and function, contributing to the tooth longevity.\u0000

Patients with periodontal disease (PD) frequently report DH due to root surface exposure or after periodontal treatment. Bioactive agents derived from calcium and/or silicon-based systems, such as REFIX technology, have been used to promote tooth regeneration, with focus on tooth sensitivity treatment. Case Report: Based on this, the efficacy of REFIX gel combined with calcium on the treatment of a DH was evaluated in a PD 45-year-old male patient. The patient’s right and left sides were randomly selected to use one of the prophylaxis dental protocols: REFIX dental gel/calcium (RDGCa) (experimental: 13, 14, 15 teeth) or Pumice Stone (PS) (control: 23, 24, 25 teeth). The products were applied using dental polishing brush during 10 seconds in each tooth surface. Schiff Air Index (SAI) for sensitive teeth (0–3) were performed by applying air jet to each tooth’s vestibular surface for 5 seconds after and before the prophylaxis. The patient reported pain and interruption of the stimulus before and after PS prophylaxis (SAI 3 and 3 respectively). There was a reduction in pain when RDGCa protocol was used (SAI 3—before/SAI 1—after). In this instance, the patient felt the stimulus but did not request to be interrupted. This contrasted with the outcomes of the initial stimulus as well as PS. Conclusion: The results showed that the RDGCa strategy was successful in lowering DH in PD patients.

It may be congenital or may be preceded by a history of trauma.\u0000\u0000 Case Series: Here we report two cases whose diaphragmatic hernias were detected on evaluation of a difficult gastroscopy. Both cases were those of young males who presented with non-specific gastrointestinal (GI) symptoms which warranted further evaluation with upper GI endoscopy and imaging. The first patient had a history of abdominal trauma during a road traffic accident. When scope negotiation proved to be difficult, they were both investigated and found to have displacement of the stomach within the mediastinum. Surgery was done followed by uneventful recovery in both patients.\u0000\u0000 Conclusion: Diaphragmatic hernias do not always present in the background of typical settings and may be asymptomatic in many cases. However when any undue resistance is faced during endoscope negotiation, a high degree of clinical suspicion should be kept for any anatomical aberration—either congenital or acquired. This may ensure early detection and prevent life-threatening acute conditions as an acute gastric volvulus.\u0000

By way of onset, seizures can be classified as focal, generalized, unknown, or unclassifiable. An underlying structural abnormality can cause focal seizures in the brain.
