In this study, a total of ten speakers were chosen randomly with different languages from online language database. A total of six males and four females were selected as subjects for this research and each of them spoke different languages, including Arabic, Chinese, English, Korean and Malay. The MFCC will be extracted to derive the related feature vector. Vector Quantization (VQ) algorithm is then used as classifier. The recognition rate is then calculated for each language. Several experiments were conducted to find the optimum parameters, in which we found that sampling frequency of 16000 Hz and codebook size of 75 provided good results. On average, the recognition rate for all five languages evaluated was 78%. A Vehicle Instrument Panel (VIP) will be assigned as the Device-Under-Test (DUT) for this project. The HIL will simulate the assigned input signals controllable via designed Graphical User Interface (GUI). The resulting display is shown on the DUT and the speedometer gauge measurement is within the tolerance of the pre-determined specification of the DUT. The objective of this paper is to design a self-consumed DC power system for a residential house from renewable energy resource which is solar PV that will be independent from the utility grid. The methodology proposed are configuring daily load demand, sizing PV array, battery bank and lastly simulation and optimization of the system through HOMER software. Based on HOMER simulation, the optimum PV array size is 3.5 kW while the 48 V battery bank needs 32 units of 12 V batteries, which is designated for 3 days of autonomy. The system could meet 100% of load demand throughout the year with 37.08 % of excess energy. K-Electric is a vertically integrated utility based in Karachi, Pakistan responsible for all energy generation, transmission and distribution within the boundary of Karachi, Hub and Parts of Baluchistan. This piece of hardware is designed to overcome the flaw associated with the old terminal block which is being used in energy meters from decades. The first flaw of old energy meter terminal block is that it does not produce any hindrance to any adversary who attempts to tamper the meter. The second flaw is that the construction of the old terminal block contains many contact points i.e. 6 contact points for every phase in total, for single phase meter there are 12 contact points situated in the terminal block and for three phase meter the count rises to 24 contact points, any loose connection between any two contact parts results in the burning of energy meter. By tampering we refer to shunt type tampering, which is the most common method to make energy meter register less energy flow. There are further tampering techniques that are being carried out for registering fewer energy consumption by the utility. We carried a survey of data of a utility company that shows 16% of energy loss is due to shunt type tampering. Further in this study we also found that faults related to terminal block accounts up to 48% of total faults carried out by energy meter being on site. Precise energy accountability is every utility's key goal and objective. It is one of the major factors in evaluating efficiency of a utility like K-Electric. The challenges faced by the utility to reach its goal are exemplified by the unaccountable energy consumed by the public. Among the three, the cascaded H-bridge inverter is becoming the most popular type of multilevel inverter as the world is moving towards renewable energy. The cascaded H-bridge has modular structure, so it can be easily adapted in multiple dc sources system such as photovoltaic systems. The main disadvantage of cascaded H-bridge inverter is it requires a high number of switches, particularly for a high number of output voltage levels design. Another major disadvantage is a high number of switches need to be turned on during cascaded H-bridge operation, thus accumulating voltage drops across the conducting switches before it reach the output terminals, resulting losses and reduced efficiency, especially for a high power installation. In this paper, an uninterrupted neutral line multilevel inverter topology with only one conducting bidirectional switch at any time of operation is proposed. A 41-level version of the proposed topology is constructed and tested in Matlab Simulink platform. Therefore, Foreign Objects Debris (FOD) is the topmost intimidation for the security of aviation, airports, aircrafts and passengers. It is very complex to identify the Foreign Objects Debris (FOD) due to its diversification is size and volume. For the security of aviation and passengers, robust Foreign Objects Debris (FOD) identification system is needed. Various research approaches have been carried out for the accurate and precise investigation of Foreign Objects Debris (FOD). In this research paper we have proposed a cost effective Foreign Objects Debris (FOD) detection solution with less false alarm rate compared to the other existing trends. To accomplish the task, we designed a prototype comprised of curtain sensor as primary transducer and an ultrasonic proximity sensor as a secondary transducer along with a camera with image processing algorithm. The water sensor integrated therein activates a distinct buzzer if it detects water. The system comes with a wireless RF remote control that uniquely sounds buzzier when pressed, that helps in locating the stick in case it gets misplaced. The efficiency of the proposed solution has been adequately tested on a dataset composed of randomized locations with obstacles and water. Videos streaming providers have been trying hard to fulfill users' requests of best video qualities over heterogeneous networks. However it is extremely challenging to meet adequate bandwidth which guaranty users' pleasance. With current portable devices, users change dynamically their positions and demands, thus anticipating the distribution methods of bandwidths and channel capacities. Two modules are used to perform the quality adaptation: the First Adaptive Video Quality (FAVQ) and the Refined Adaptive Video Quality (RAVQ). Both modules form the algorithms that match the layers with resources available at the peer. On one hand, to determine the highest potential layer which user can retrieve and play, the FAVQ is used and perform at session start. On the other hand, due to the changes in environmental network, the RAVQ is performed regularly to adjust the layer accordingly. JSVM 9.14 was used for performance evaluation of the developed schemes. Semitransparent [CdTe] Thin-Film PV module is one of the promising green energy sources that need to be more investigated in terms of efficiency and modeling. This paper presents real-time daily measurements for such modules that serve the system design, prediction, and modeling. Single and multi-layer configurations categories have been used as a platform to test the PV system at various temperature and irradiance ranges. Experimental measurements were conducted at UPM University, Serdang, Malaysia, where a 6 different modules are tested according to their interconnection and installation. A wireless data acquisition card, of one second sampling interval, has been utilized to acquire the weather and electrical parameters (module temperature, solar irradiance, Voltage, and Current). The result of the harvested daily energy shows a value around (2.51) as a maximum efficiency in a cloudy day conditions and it is influenced by the transparency factor when configured in a multi-layer.
